"Come back with my ship!!!" Adrianna woke with a start. "Bloody Pirates!!" Trying to figure out who was yelling, Adrianna slowly stood up and peeked out from behind a tree. There on the beach was the strangest man she had ever seen. His clothes looked ragged and looked like they hadn't seen a washing machine in a long time. He had long dark hair, tied with a red scarf, with what appeared to be beads and trinkets woven in. She watched as he drunkenly raced up and down the beach waving his fists and yelling loudly at a slowly disappearing ship.

I wonder what he's on. She thought. He reminded her of a strung out drunken musician from some oddly costumed heavy metal band.

Then almost as if he read her thoughts, he spun around in mid yell and stared at her. Oh wonderful, she thought, I'm about to be attacked by some whacked out junkee.

"Where in the bloody hell did you come from, luv" the man slurred. "I....uh....um.." Adrianna stammered. She had no idea where she was or how she got there. "So, what is it then?" He demanded. "I don't know." She said, "I must have passed out." Seeing how disoriented she seemed, the man softened a bit. "What's your name?" Adrianna hesitated, but figured if he was going to kill her, he couldn't care less about her name. "Adrianna" she said finally. "I'm Jack, Captain Jack Sparrow, if you will. The ship you see sailing off without me is mine - The Black Pearl. My mutineous crew decided to maroon me on this island and go after my treasure. I'm glad you're nice to look at because we're going to be here together for a long time!" With that, he reached down into the sand, and pulled open a hidden trap door. Adrianna stared as he examined several dusty bottles full of liquid, pulled one out, and stalked off down the beach.

Adrianna slowly sank down to the ground. A dream..she thought...I'm dreaming, and a crazy one at that..pirates, ships, treasure... She laid down on the sand and closed her eyes. Might as well enjoy myself while I can. I'll be awake and dealing with the real world soon enough. She drifted off to sleep.

Meanwhile, Jack sat down on the beach near the water's edge. He uncorked the bottle of rum and took a long swig. Glancing back at where Adrianna slept, he smiled. This could be very interesting. He thought as he began planning.........
