I wrote this in the middle of class. Don't expect good quality from this.

What was happening?

King looked back to think on what happened today; he went out to buy groceries, continued writing the storyboards of the game he was developing on the side, and then...

And then, he was currently floating above his apartment floor.

What led to this was just a lame thought- "Ah, if only I could fly. That way, I wouldn't need to take public transport."

And as he looked down, he realized he was flying- or, well, floating.

"This... is new." King said, rotating in the air. While he only started floating but a moment ago, he felt like he could fly as easily as he moved his hands. Which he did. He could move around in the air like it was as instinctive as breathing. Or thinking. Which come to think of it- seemed to be the main way he controlled his flight. He just needed to think of moving in a certain direction, and he did.

"Okaaaay, I should be waking up about... Ouch! Nope." King tried pinching his thigh, but the sharp pain he felt meant that this was clearly not a dream.

Still, WHAT WAS GOING ON?!

"Phew... Calm down, me. Think about this clearly. I just randomly thought about flying, and suddenly, I'm flying. Let's see..."

King looked around his apartment to see what he could test, before deciding on a metal frying pan.

Picking it up, King easily rolled it like it was a sheet of paper.

"Okay, cool. I have super-strength, now." King said, realizing that he didn't even need to put in effort to bend the frying pan like it was a pancake. Except it was a METAL FRYING PAN! And he was an ordinary person- well, at least, he was before!

Now, he could fly, and had super strength.

Calming himself down before he got too excited, King tested if he was still asleep and the first time was a fluke- and yep, pinching himself still hurt.

HE HAD SUPERPOWERS! AWESOME! And all he had to do was 'want' it! He didn't even need to think about super-strength that time- he just did it!

That, or he just happened to have certain powers, and he didn't have the ability to have whatever power he wanted by just thinking it.

"Still, it's a waste of a metal frying pan." King said to himself, looking at the frying pan he wasted. While the news that he now had superpowers was much cooler- he was still who he was before, and the fixed frying pan in his hands did cost him 1,400 yen-

Wait, fixed?

Looking at the previously bent frying pan, it was as if he never bent it in the first place. Did he fix it by the power of his mind? Did he unlock some super powerful ESP?!

"Wait, let's see, if I could fly, have super strength, and can fix things by simply wanting it fixed... could I find out how I got this power?" King said aloud, hoping he could get answers that same way he got his powers.

Suddenly, a sheet of paper appeared in front of King. Picking it up to read it, King's eyes widened at the message on it.

"Admin status granted to entity 'King'. Admin status permanent and non-removable."

Admin status? Did that mean the world was a simulation?

And as he barely had time to process that, the paper had new words appear on it.

"By definition of 'simulation', this world is not a simulation."

What? Was whatever responding to him sentient?

"The Console is not sentient. The Console is merely responding to questions. Do you want to grant sentience to The Console?"

...Okay, the paper in his hands telling him that the 'console' wasn't sentient wasn't really giving him any peace of mind. Still, he wasn't going to chance it yet.

"Um, just in case, no, I'm not granting sentience to the console." King said aloud, just in case the 'console' thought his silence meant acceptance.

But if what the paper said was true... he had Admin status! Whatever that was supposed to mean! If going by game logic, did that mean he had full control over the world? Could he really do whatever he wanted?

And then, one new word appeared onto the paper he was holding.

"Yes."

At that, King couldn't help but grin. How could he not? It was indescribable- he wasn't an ordinary person anymore; he was an Admin! He could do anything!

Suddenly, King heard a scream from outside. Looking out from his balcony, King noticed a mysterious being wreaking havoc on the city.

"... Well, while I should really think long and hard about this new 'Admin' status, I know what I DO want to do, and now that I can, I will."

With that, King got onto the ledge of his balcony, and jumped.

While I really should get to my other duties (such as paying attention to class, doing my overdue assignments, continuing my own fanfiction, editing other fanfictions whose backlogs are REALLY growing), I think I'll just keep procrastinating.

Unless someone pays me. But finding patrons on a fanfiction site is the internet equivalent of dumpster diving. I'll MAYBE find a 5$ bill, but I'll just waste my time trying.
