This is my first fanfic in a while and definitely my first Boruto fanfiction. This takes place after the Mitsuki Dissapearance Arc. This is just a short drabble and will probably stay a one-shot. Thank you and please enjoy!
Sunburnt
Team 7 had just finished an escort mission to a small village near the beach. Boruto was excited of course as this meant time to relax at the beach and even Sarada seemed to look forward to it.
Mitsuki though was a bit lost as to what the big deal was. He had never really been to the beach before. But if Boruto was this excited, he was happy to be going, thpugh he really couldn't care either way.
The clone had bought a swimsuit with Boruto's help so he was certainly ready for the experience. However, what he had not counted on was the intensity of the sun or that he would need to put on sunscreen.
The team had fun playing in the water and the sand but soon Boruto noticed something off. "Mitsuki, did you forget to put on sunscreen? You're turning red."
The pale boy blinked and looked to his now pink arms. "I was not aware this could happen." He stated more to himself.
Sarada sighed. "Of course it can. Anyone can get sunburnt if they aren't careful."
Sarada's words struck a chord with Mitsuki and he looked back at his skin. Sekiei had said something similar once, about how the sun could hurt one if one got too close. He began to wonder if his sunburn was like his relationship with Boruto.
Boruto came over though with a tube of sunscreen. "Here. This should help you from getting worse. After the beach, we can put some medicine on it."
"You mean the sunburn will go away?" Mitsuki asked.
"Of course it will," Boruto smiled. "Sunburns are just temporary though they can get pretty nasty."
Mitsuki thought this over before smiling his usual half smile that held so much more meaning behind it. Even if his sun burned him a bit, he cod overcome it and be by his side. "I see. Then there is nothing to worry about."
Boruto blinked. They were still talking about a sunburnt, right?
