"Let the Magic Begin"
In a backyard in the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri, five teenagers named Travis, Tyler, Lauren, Alexis, and Andrea reminisced sadly about the summer. It was August, and sadly, back-to-school time. Everybody but Andrea was starting Junior High School (Andrea was starting High School). Every year, since Andrea had started 6th grade and the others had started 4th grade, they had spent the last week at Andrea, Travis and Tyler's house. The last week had been filled with happiness, just being a kid and messing around mostly. Now it was the last night before another year of Prison began. For some odd reason, the song they were listening to (Lauren's favorite song in the whole wide world) was the Ataris' newest song "Boys of Summer."
"Remember when Annie James dumped water on you, Tyler?" Andrea exclaimed loudly. Everybody murmured in agreement. Alexis sighed. "It's a pity we have to go home tomorrow and start another year of ickyness!" She said, in a somewhat whiny voice. "Yeah, I hate school!" Travis added. "Why do we have to go? We know all the shit they teach us." He groaned as Andrea said in an undertone to him, "You are making C's."
Then very suddenly, a white owl soared over them. All the kids jumped and pointed at it, yelling. "Wow! An owl!" Alexis yelled excitedly. "It was Hedwig! I know it!" Lauren screeched
"Hedwig's not real, dipshit!" Tyler yelled.
"But it sure looked like her!" Lauren argued.
"Well-" Andrea began. But she didn't get very far, as five owls, ranging in color from tawny to black dropped 5 letters upon them, hooting loudly. All 5 looked at each other. Then it was Lauren who spoke up. "Let the magic begin." She began, her eyes sparkling like stars and her smile bright enough to cause blindness. " I knew it was true, every single bit of it." She said. " I just knew." The others merely stared at the letters and the owls flying away, in sheer amazement. The same thought was on all their minds- it couldn't be real! It's just a book! But a part of them wanted to believe it was more than just a dream, that it was true, that they were magical. ! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! *! * O_O. It is beginning to get good, so if you like it here, you will love the story! R/R! Please!
