I'm back with a new Magnum P.I. story! I hope you all enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Magnum P.I. or anything related to the television series.
"Mr. Magnum, you are free to go," the officer said as he opened the cell door.
Magnum stood up from the metal bench. "It's about time. I've been telling you guys I'm innocent for almost a whole day now," he said as he walked out of the jail cell.
He knew he was innocent. His friends knew he was innocent. He was even pretty sure Detective Katsumoto knew he was innocent the moment he arrived at Robin's Nest. Still, he was put in a jail cell for a crime he didn't commit.
As Magnum was walking towards the exit, he spotted Katsumoto. Before he even got a word out, the detective spotted him and started talking in an all-business tone.
"Come with me," Katsumoto said, starting to lead Magnum outside.
The sun had just started to rise when the two men walked out of the building and to the detective's car.
Following the detective, Magnum smirked. "You giving me a ride home, Gordy?"
"No," Katsumoto said, entering the driver's door of his car without even a hint of a smile.
Magnum frowned. He knew Katsumoto didn't like the nickname he had affectionately given him, but by ignoring it completely, the detective had made Magnum start to worry.
"What's going on?" Magnum asked, entering the car through the passenger's door and looking across at the driver.
Katsumoto glanced at Magnum before starting the engine. "We're going to the hospital. Your friends are there."
Magnum was not expecting that. "What happened?"
