1812 Northern Japan

She felt as if she had been running for hours. Panting and crumpled on the forest floor trying to catch her breath. Her basket of herbs she had collected for her sick parents lay forgotten quite a distance back. She had heard the rumors floating around her small countryside town that townsfolk were disappearing on full moon nights.

The market was bustling with people far more crowded than usual. It was to be a full moon tonight and people were gathering items they needed and trying to head back to their homes. Sakura had arrived at the market late, after she had been tending to her parents all day. She decided they were stable enough for her to gather supplies. She had gotten what she needed and began her walk back home as the sun was setting. She knew it would be risky but she was tough. Her Aunt had taught her techniques to ward off handsy men now that she was 21, the marrying age in her town.

As she walked the dirt path back to her family's cottage the fallen leaves crunched under her feet. Only a handful of people in her town took this particular path. She heard footsteps a few leagues behind her. Sakura quickened her pace. She dared not look back. She began running. Only a short distance left until she was home safe.

She tripped as she ran when a voice yelled out. She wasn't able to discern what it had called out and she did not want to find out.

As she stopped over on the ground to gather her supplies back into her basket she felt a warm breath on the nape of her neck. A deep gravelly voice spoke against her skin.

"My my, I can smell your virgin blood from the other side of town. How about I take what I desire and in turn give you eternity? It is a much better deal than I give the others."

Before she was able to protest or fend for herself she felt a cold hand grasp the front of her throat and then sharp teeth bite into the skin between her neck and shoulder. Her screams were absorbed into the trees that surrounded her.

1912 Southern Japan

Sasuke was one of the most influential among his clan. He ascended into a higher role after his elder brother had fallen ill. He wanted to bring his clan into the twentieth century and make a mark that was purely his own. The Uchiha clan was falling short compared to their long-time rival clan the Senju.

While their battles used to be on battlegrounds with war cry's and blood, battles now were waged over money and territory.

His direct adversary in the Senju clan was Naruto Uzumaki. His dimwitted demeanor was overshadowed by his amazing interpersonal skills. Meanwhile Sasuke's analytical mindset outweighed his ability to interact with others.

Many people say he came off as morose and brooding.

He was trying to get a leg up on this Uzumaki character who had been in his schooling class when they were kids. Naruto was taking over territories left and right by making good with the tenants.

Sasuke was trying to figure out a solution to put the Uchiha back on top of the Southern territories.

He sat alone on a stool at a dingy bar, pouring over his notes and numbers to see what the next power move should be. His nondominant hand holding his head up as he studied.

"My my, working hard?" A feminine voice came through to his ear after being so absorbed in numbers and tenant lists.

It was some barmaid asking if he needed a refill on his whiskey.

"No more." And he waved her off.

He could still feel her presence peering over his shoulder.

"Can I help you?" He asks sternly.

"No. But I think I can help you. Have you tried this area down here?" The assertive pink haired barmaid pointed a slender finger to an area on the map page of his notebook. An area he thought was off limits, but she made a point, it would be a safe area to take.

He had never seen such an appearance on anyone. She was purely radiant. Her hair was so lightly pink it was almost blonde. Her jade eyes complimented her beautifully. He never truly paid attention to the charms of women but she was something else.

"Do you even understand what I am trying to do?" Once he snapped out of his daze and realized how suspicious it was she knew what he was trying to achieve just by looking at his notebook.

"Yes. Now if you will excuse me I have to help other patrons." As she began to glide away he took note of the strange scar on her shoulder that was only visible from the way the light was hitting her. This barmaid was strange to say the least.

He finished up his drink and his notes and made his way home for the night. As he walked home in the late hour of this particular evening he felt as though he was being followed. He took a different path home and made sure to look over his shoulder frequently. He assumed it could be someone from the Senju clan sent to hurt him or gather information. He ended up finally making his way to the Uchiha estate and settled into his quarters, failing to notice the pink haired barmaid with the suspicious scar tailing him.

He ended up using the information the strange barmaid suggested to him and was able to negotiate a deal to secure that territory to the Uchiha clan. He received a notice a few days later after the deal had been made to have a meeting with a few of the leaders from the Senju clan to go over territories and set boundaries. He agreed to the meeting and enlisted some of the top ranking of the Uchiha clan to go to this dispute as well.

He ends up at the same bar a few weeks later directly following the meeting. They had come to an agreement with the Senju's that certain areas of the city were off limits and that the Uchiha would not invade Senju territory. He did not like the way the Uzumaki his age and his Uncle Tobirama were discussing in hushed tones after the meeting. He had a feeling they were nearing a turf war.

He winds up at the same bar from a few weeks ago. He noticed the pink haired barmaid flitting around from patron to patron. Due to curiosity, and some mysterious force tugging on him- he stays until close. She tells him they are closing for the evening. He nods and tells her he would like a word with her before she heads out. They meet out front as the owner of the establishment locks the door and walks away.

"What's your name?" He asks.

"Sakura Haruno, sir. Did you need something? I would like to go home."

He remains silent, trying to figure out why he had wanted to speak to her. He was suddenly feeling very woozy.

"What's going on?" He asks before he starts stumbling trying to grip the wall of a nearby building.

"Oh, the sedative seems to be working." She says giggling to herself.

He tries to right himself, failing. He leans against the wall more as his legs wobble and his eyes blur. He can make out her tiny frame coming over to him and taking one of his arms and putting it over her shoulders so she can carry him.

"W-where arrr yeww tak me?" He slurs out leaning into her body.

"Quiet." She says with such malice he feels a shiver run up his spine before he blacks out.

He awakens in a windowless room with one candle lit in a far corner. He tries to move his limbs but fails feeling the twine secured around his wrists and ankles.

"Ah. You're awake." The pink haired devil says to him.

"What do you want from me? What did I ever do to you?" He says cuiriously, while also trying to find a way out of this predicament scouring the room looking for any way to escape.

"Not you specifically, but you do resemble him."

"Excuse me?"

"Does Izuna Uchiha ring a bell?"

Sasuke's eyes widened. He had only ever heard stories of his great uncle. He had always been told by his great grandfather Madara, before he passed, that he resembled Izuna.

"So he does." She says taking note of the way his demeanor shifted.

"He was my great uncle, how would you know of him?" Appearance wise she still looked as she did that day 100 years ago.

She pauses and bites one of her nails looking as though she is going over a thousand different scenarios. He waits for her reply; this was all too strange for him now. She glances at him and then as quickly as she had come in, she left, shutting the door to the windowless room.

She ends up coming back into the room an hour later, or so he thinks. She looks more sure of herself as she comes closer to the chair he is still strapped to.

"What's your name?" She demands.

"You don't know? You're the one who poisoned me."

"I know you're an Uchiha."

"Sasuke Uchiha. Now will you tell me know what you want?"

"I want your clan to burn to the ground." He furrows his brows at her angry that this woman is threatening his family.

"Pardon?"

"Your great Uncle or whatever he was to you, he cursed me. I've been trying to find your accursed clan for years. I finally found you all a few years back. That devil moved towns so often it was hard to find him. I am glad to know he met his demise finally."

"Are you mad?"

She takes offense to his statement and trudges forward to his seated position and slaps him. She yanks her clothing on her shoulder to the side and shows him that suspicious scar he had noticed weeks ago.

"Your Uncle took my blood and cursed me to be a vampire for eternity!"

"You cannot be serious? Vampire? Those are fairy tales for children."

"All 'fairy tales' come from half truths."

He pauses.

"If your story is true. How old are you?" He asks, still disbelieving.

"121 years old."

"What do you want from me specifically? If I'm gone for much longer my family will come looking for me." He states.

"I want to make a deal. Eye for an eye type."

"What makes you think I would ever agree to something like this just because of something my great uncle supposedly did to you one hundred years ago?"

"I can promise you land and knowledge for your clan. If you promise to be my blood donor for eternity. I've been in the world longer than anyone alive by now, I've seen things, I've accumulated knowledge. I can share that with you. If you promise to share this curse with me for eternity."

"Do I have time to think it over?"

"I'll give you two sunsets. If you try to run, I will find you. If you go to the authorities I will kill them…Choose wisely Sasuke Uchiha." She came around behind him and cut the twine that was securing him to the chair. He got up and left the windowless room. Out into a long corridor with a door at the end of it.
