Dekiru and Shigaraki stared back at each other, neither willing to make the first move. After years of waiting for this day, Dekiru had finally found his little brother. But not in the way he'd imagine it. Not a loving one who loved him with all their might. No. His little brother was… gone. And all that remained was an evil villain who hated humanity and heroes. He had killed their own mother, their sister, aunty, uncle, and their father. He did it all with a wicked smile on his face.

Dekiru's heart ached at the thought of what could have been. That night, he snuck out of the house searching through the city for his pendant. Leaving Tenko all alone. Maybe if he stayed with Tenko for another minute to comfort him like he always had, things would've been different.

"So," Shigaraki spoke up, "are you just gonna stand there staring at me or are you gonna do something about it? I know I haven't exactly been the nicest person in the world, but that doesn't mean you get to sit here like some kind of useless piece of trash and wait for someone to notice you. Either way, I'm gonna do what I was born to do—destroy."

Dekiru took a deep breath as he looked back at his nemesis, "You don't need to do this. You can stop all this right here, right now. Don't become what they made you!"

Shigaraki smirked, "It's too late for that, isn't it? You and I both know that we're way past that point. Besides, my goal is still the same: destruction. Just look at how well that turned out." He spread his arms wide motioning around at everything he was currently looking at. The destruction wreaked throughout the city, buildings burning from top to bottom. It was the worst sight Dekiru had ever seen in his entire life.

As the words left Shigaraki's mouth, Dekiru felt himself beginning to tremble, tears threatening to spill from his eyes as he turned back to his nemesis.

"This doesn't have to be this way! Please…let me save you, Tenko!"

His voice cracked as the last word left his lips. All hope died inside of him when no response came from Shigaraki. Instead, there was only silence. As the fire burned brighter and the smoke grew thicker Dekiru could see Shigaraki beginning to shake his head, "There's nothing to save."

With those final words, his hand reached out before him, palm charging with scarlet energy. With a quick snap, his arm shot forward, slamming into Deku's chest sending the boy flying through the air. His vision blurred as the wind was knocked from his lungs, leaving him gasping for air in a pile of ash.
