The sun had risen, and the two had made quite a successful rest. Hoopa on the other hand, was the only remaining Pokemon in bed rather than Zephyr. And speaking of him, the small creature slowly opened his eyes only to find the kangaroo, the same creature who had taken care of the Pokemon, is nowhere to be seen.
The ghost turned his head around to look for the kangaroo, yet he is not in the room. It would try to come out of the hotel room in order to look for him, but by recalling past events last night, that prevented Hoopa from doing so. It was still hot outside, and the small ghost did not want to suffer the same fate as last time.
Trying to get the kangaroo's attention, it was just moments away from giving up. Until a slight knock on the door caught its attention. Darting his eyes over to the door, it opened to reveal Zephyr, holding a bag of items in his hand. "Sorry I was gone, Hoopa. Just getting some stuff for you."
The ghost's smile grew as he watched Zephyr set the bag onto the bed. "Some of it is for medical treatment in case you get sick again. The rest is for you to eat." The kangaroo spoke as he grabbed a few poffins from the bag. The ghost took a few moments to investigate the small dessert, it appeared to be pink, fluffy, and it was filled with a sweet cream substance.
It wasn't sure what it looked like at first glance, since it normally eats donuts, but it wanted to try out something new and different. With a small nibble of the poffin, the small bite turned into a big bite in less than a minute. The sweetness of the macaroon-like cookie delivered a huge wave inside its mouth. "POFFINS!" The Hoopa shouted excitedly as it now revealed the name of the dessert Zephyr had bought earlier.
"Yes, these ARE poffins." Zephyr chuckled as he grabbed another poffin from the bag. "Normally I would wait until later but you must've loved these poffins, do you?" The small genie nodded at a breakneck speed as it continued on eating the poffins. "Well, make sure not to eat so fast, otherwise you might get a little tummyache."
"Hoopa wont get a bellyache!" The genie giggled as it continued on eating the small treats in a matter of seconds. It was supposed to be careful about eating too much, yet since it was hungry, the little genie ghost Pokemon had no other choice but to gobble down the rest of the treats like a Boltund eating its meal.
Eating each of the poffins reminded it of a special meal it had in the past. Donuts. Just donuts. The little treats that are the size of its torso are much of a delight to the small ghost rather than something else. "Hoopa loves Poffins!" The ghost laughed as it continued to gobble down each of the cookie, yet was stopped by Zephyr.
"Didn't I tell you not to eat fast?" The kangaroo asked in a stern tone. He wasn't mad at the Hoopa, yet the small Pokemon needed to be more careful in eating too much nor too fast. "If you eat too fast, you might get a stomachache like I told you earlier ago."
Hoopa stopped eating and hung his head low in shame. "I-I wasn't mad at you, Hoopa. I'm just saying that you need to be more careful. I don't want you getting sick like last time, do you?"
The genie nodded in response. "Hoopa won't do that again.." It then apologized and gave Zephyr a hug. The kangaroo expected the small ghost to put the cookies down and turn away, but it took the easy way out and had something different in mind. "Hoopa sorry."
"It's okay, Hoopa. Just try to be careful next time, alright?" Zephyr responded before the small Hoopa could nod back.
"Oakley! Go on!" Zephyr bellowed as he called his Boltund, Oakley out of her pokeball, a flash of light danced in front of the floating ghost Pokemon as it watched the flash fade out to reveal the electric-type dog, Oakley. The Boltund barked as she took notice of the unfamiliar Pokemon standing in front of her. "Kiri! Tyrique! Ribbon! Carlos! Your four come out as well!"
Calling the rest of his Pokemon out of their residing devices, Hoopa took notice of the lights flashing in front of it, revealing the rest of Zephyr's team. The first Pokemon he'd sent out was a Noivern, then the next was a Tyrogue. Another, a Sylveon, and the last, a Hawlucha. Not realizing that the Noivern is several times her size than the Hoopa, the little ghost Pokemon shook in awe due to how enormous the dragon looks.
"That's a giant-looking dragon!" Hoopa shook as he stared at the Noivern in awe. The dragon bat tilted her head in confusion, not knowing the Pokemon learns how to speak in a human language. "No, Hoopa. It's a Noivern. I caught her when she was a little Noibat."
"W-What's a Noibat?" Hoopa asked, tilting its head in confusion, not knowing what her pre-evolution looks like. "It's Kiri's pre-evolution. As a Noibat, they often make noise and fly off when threatened."
Kiri stared at the Hoopa for a few seconds before turning back at the Tyrogue, who was just standing there in awe, like it was staring at a brand new Pokemon in his life. "When I first caught her, she started to become friendlier as time passed."
"Tyyyroo?" Tyrique spoke in bewilderment, pointing at the Hoopa with his finger. "Oh, that's Hoopa! I first found this little guy on the balcony while I was sleeping last night!" What Zephyr had said left the rest of his team, including the little Tyrogue, in shock! "He suddenly passed out due to a heat stroke but I took care of it, so he's doing better now."
Oakley barked excitedly as she took notice of the Hoopa, like a Yamper who had seen a different Pokemon in her life. Zephyr wasn't sure what the Boltund had barked out, but soon figured out what it actually meant. "So you haven't seen a Pokemon like Hoopa before, haven't you?"
"Your team hasn't met Hoopa in their lives at all!?" The genie shook, eyes shrinking at what Zephyr had responded to the Boltund.
"No. Not in their lives.." Zephyr sighed as he turned back to his Pokemon team. "They haven't met a mythical Pokemon like you until now." The kangaroo turned back at Hoopa, carrying a masterball in his hands. "Thankfully I still have my Masterball, but one day we'll trust each other so you can be part of my team!"
"Hoopa's gonna be on your team!?" The genie's eyes widened like saucers after hearing what the kangaroo had said. "THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST DAY EVER!"
"No need to be so excited, little guy." Zephyr chuckled as he stopped the genie from flying around the area with his Pokemon team still around in front of him. "One day you'll join my team once we trust each other."
Zephyr's smile then dropped when he soon realized that the Hoopa in front of him might be the remaining Pokemon species here. "And speaking of which.. Where do other Hoopas lives?"
Hoopa's excited smile soon drooped after hearing his question. "Other species like Hoopa?"
"Yes, Hoopa. Do any of your species live outside this city or is it just you?"
The genie took a few moments to recall past events as Zephyr stared at the Pokemon blankly. "Other species like Hoopa live outside where you guys are staying.." Zephyr was moments away from turning away, until his ears perked up after what the small ghost creature had said out loud. "YOU DO!?"
"Yes.." The Hoopa took a moment to pause, before he proceeded to start. "Our species like Hoopa used to live in an outer word such as the "Majara" dimension."
Zephyr continued to stand in front of the ghost, waiting to finish the Pokemon's sentence. "Hoopa used to have a lot of friends there, but all of a sudden, some start to bully Hoopa while everyone else is around, watching the rest of us with any hesitation to fight back."
"The rest soon left off as they continued on hurting Hoopa in various places. Of course Hoopa had no choice but to find a way to escape." The ghost continued on as the rest of Zephyr's team stared at it with bewilderment in their eyes. "H-Hoopa was trying to help one out, but everyone else had the guts in...in.."
The Hoopa soon paused to wipe a tear from his eye. He wanted to continue on talking, yet his past memories continued on flushing inside his head, preventing him from doing so. "Hoopa tried to protect them from being attacked by anyone else.."
Zephyr kneeled next to the ghost and proceeded to hug him. "D-Don't worry, Hoopa. We'll be here to protect you from whoever tries to take you away." Carrying the genie in both arms, the Pokemon wiped the rest of his tears falling from both eyes. "H-Hoopa was too scared to fight back, not knowing everyone else w-would try to kill Hoopa in..a matter of seconds.."
"I promise not a human being, and I mean NOT a single human being will try to hurt you in front of us.." Zephyr sighed as he laid his head against the small djinn's face for comfort. "One day you'll be part of my team, so that way a stranger won't be around to capture you in a flash."
