This, My Beloved Land
Oh wondrous realm of Hyrule Field
Where ancient sands lie calm and still,
Where grow the grasses green and high
To greet the rising hill.
Here stand the trees so proud and tall
That ward the flowers wild and free,
While watching by the water's edge
As river runs to sea.
And to the West lives mountain tall,
That bows before the rising sun,
Called Death, with edges coarse and bare
And richest earth so young.
Below, in caverns deep and light,
The Zoran people live by night
By sparkling stream that trips and spills
On stones that glisten bright.
Stands Hyrule castle to the North
With endless chambers walled with stone
And sitting in the Royal Court,
The king upon his throne.
And to the forest in the South
Kokiri children wander free
With forest fairies as their guide,
Beneath the Deku tree
Now as the sun sets yonder West
To life renewed the land gives birth
To desert winds that sweep the sands
Deep red like blood of earth.
And in the night the land lays still,
From sea to stone, from stone to sand.
Now rests the realm of Hyrule field,
This, my beloved land.
