Jen shivers as she walks out of her kitchen, a pout on her face, sitting on her couch, her legs tucked underneath her. She can't believe she's out of hot chocolate, she was sure she told Noemi to pick her some up when she went grocery shopping but evidently not, and now it's freezing and she wants a warm chocolatey drink to warm her up and transport herself to her memories of a time when he was with a Special Agent as they sipped hot chocolate in the Serbian winter.

But she hasn't got any so she can't!

The sound of her doorbell echoing throughout the house has her getting to her feet and walking to the front door, wrenching it open and scowling when she sees a silver haired man carrying two takeaway cups from Starbucks.

"What are you doing here, Jethro?" She asks him, stepping aside so he can come in out of the cold. She watches as Jethro puts the two Starbucks cups on the table bride the door and shrugs out of his trench coat and hands her a cup. She takes it with a smile, drawing her hand back when their fingers brush together. She takes a sip of the steaming brevage he bought her and smiles as the familiar taste travels down her throat.

Hot chocolate.

She looks at the man who is staring at her. "How did you know I wanted a hot chocolate?" She asks him, leading him to the living room where her fire is roaring in the fireplace.

"I know you, and I know that in the winter, you like to drink copious amounts of hot chocolate while thinking back to the times we sat in the farmhouse in Serbia drinking hot chocolate. " He says, sitting down on one side of the couch with a smile directed at her. She smiles: he knows her so well, after all these years.

"How do you still remember that I still drink hot chocolate?" She takes another sip of her hot chocolate. He smirks before he takes a sip of his own drink.

"I remember everything about you." He says softly, looking into her soft green eyes that have flickers of gold from the flames.

"You do?" She asks, her voice breathy. Jethro nods, sipping his drink.

"Thanks for the hot chocolate." She says, finishing her drink, pouting at her empty cup. Her empty cup is swapped out for his half cup.

"No problem, Jen." He says softly, smiling at her.

"So why did you bring me a hot chocolate?" she asks, moving to sit next to her. He stares at her intently, his head cocked to the side.

"Because I knew you'd want one and because I knew you'd run out of coco powder so I bought you one instead of you having to go out and buy the powder and make it." Jethro says, Jen smiles at her former boss.

"Thank you," She says, getting to her feet and walking to her purse, grabbing her wallet. "how much do I owe?" She asks. Jethro shakes his head at her. "Jen, you don't have to pay me back, it was just a hot chocolate, it's fine." Jethro says, Jen nods, sitting back down to him, leaning against him.

"Mmm, I could fall asleep." Jen mutters, staring at the fire, her eyes getting heavy. Jethro chuckles.

"Then go to sleep, I'll be right here when you wake up." Jethro says into her hair. Jen snuggles deeper into Jethro and in the arms of him, with smell of coffee and sawdust filling her senses, the roar of the fire in front of her and the taste of hot chocolate on her tongue, Jen Shepard falls asleep with Jethro watching over her.
