Title: Who are you? Author's Notes: I was just cleaning out my computer(wow that sounds weird) and I found this old thang. Spoilers: After "Tomorrow." I wrote this waaaaay before "Rain of Fire" aired, so the weird little Connor/Cordelia thing is just coincidence.

Chapter One-Who are you?

Cordelia looked around and noticed a teenage boy standing above her. "Cordelia," he said. "Are you okay?"
"Who are you?" she asked.
"How hard did you hit your head? It's me, Connor. Angel's.son?"
"Angel?"
"Well this can't be good. Come on, get up. You can trust me." He held out his hand to her.
She took it and looked up at him, confused. "I know."

As they walked past the beach toward the hotel, Cordelia stopped and looked into the water. "Something's out there. Something I know."
"Come on, let's go," Connor said quickly and pulled her arm.
"Let go of me!" she said. "You don't want me to find it. I'm going to anyway, so why don't you just tell me?"
"There's nothing there."
"Look, I know I can trust you, and I think you know you can trust me. What is it?"
"It's my father. I.put him in a coffin and threw him in the ocean."
"Look, I know parents can be tough sometimes. I think I hated mine. But you can't just go around killing.wait a second, he's alive.no wait, he's not.but he's still down there and.I'm very confused."
"Forget about it."
"Ok," she said. Cordelia kicked off her heels, ran into the water, and started swimming. Then she stopped, took a deep breath and dove down. She saw a coffin on the ocean floor. Angel looked at her surprised, and she remained confused. She pulled as much as she could and finally got a grip on the coffin enough to pull it to the surface, and tugged it along to the shore.
"Cordelia," he said, with a hoarse voice.
"Do I know you?"
"It's me, Angel."
"I seem to have misplaced my memory of everything but my name, so I'll take your word for it. Connor, come over here and help me with this lock."
"No."
"Please Connor?" Angel pleaded.
"Why should I?"
"Because if you do," Cordelia said, "I'll.sleep with you."
"Don't help her, don't help her!" Angel shut his eyes tightly trying to keep out that image.
Connor ran over, grabbed a piece of metal that was lying on a dock and hit the lock repeatedly until it broke. Angel jumped out.
"Thank you."
"Let's go Cordelia. We have things to do." Connor said excitedly.
"No we don't," she corrected him.
"Dammit!"
"Connor," Angel said. "We need to talk."
"No we don't." He corrected him.
"Look, I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding about Holtz but-"
"Leave me alone!" He started running in the other direction.
"Connor wait up!" Cordelia began running after him, and Angel stood alone, in the dark, on the beach.
"Oh shit." TBC
