"Now moving onto the LA galaxy, having been eliminated from the playoffs they have gambled on 16-year-old Japanese talent to provide support for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Many fans are left bewildered as to why the club spent 5 million dollars on a kid so young.", Glenn Davis reported.
"How much do we know of this kid Glenn?", Kasey Keller asked.
"We'll this kid was promoted to play the first division of Japanese football at 15, the youngest to ever debut over there. This season he was crucial in the striker position as he won his hometown club FC TOKYO their first ever league championship. 5ft10 at 16, deceptively strong, lightning quick I think this gamble from the Galaxy might yet pay off. Who knows, with Ibrahimovic as someone to learn from the galaxy might be able to discover a hidden diamond", An image of Omoi Yotsuki was displayed on the screen detailing his stats in the J-League along with his picture.
Kasey observed the image, the teenager was handsome. Platinum blonde looking hair, angular facial features and the slightly pudgy face showcasing his age. Sharp shaped eyes along with coal dark irises resulted in a very exotic combination with his brown skin color. A blend between African with very distinct Japanese features. The rise of K-POPs popularity here in the states would no doubt make him very popular with the ladies this side.
"If anything, the boy will no doubt open the Japanese market for the galaxy a shrewd business decision no doubt for the Galaxy", Kasey pointed out.
"Indeed, 26 goals and 13 assists are remarkable for a boy as young as him. Young talents aren't usually judged by productivity, but he seems to be already great in that aspect. One will hope that the stardom laced LA lifestyle will not corrupt him. The usher of the golden generation of Japan they call him over there. I'm excited to witnessing this young star's journey." Glenn remarked
"Truly and his success could only be to the benefit of the MLS. Not many choose our league as a development option, but I think it should be more of a trend. Now whether he starts or not is a different topic, but we wish the young guy good luck"
The segment ended and the studio moved onto other topics. The playoffs had concluded and with the rivals of LA Galaxy, LAFC having more success they had to catch up.
Japan
Haneda Airport, Tokyo
Omoi POV:
Today was the big day. Stepping out his matte black 2018 Toyota Supra he waited for Darui to step out the driver's seat. Sooner rather than later, he would have to ship his precious over along with him. Darui caught up with Omoi and the two boys began unloading their baggage.
"Feeling nervous lil bro, this is your big move relax your shoulders a little and allow yourself to enjoy the moment. Look at all these people here to see you off.", Darui gestured to the small convergent of fans gathered to see him off.
"Yea man, maybe your right. We worked so hard for this, and this is only the beginning.", Omoi glanced out to the crown. Signs asking for autographs, paparazzi's camera's clicking with great haste. He decided to go and greet the people.
Omoi walked over to the small crowd and screams began to ring out hurting his ears slightly. He eventually stood just ahead of the group, the people in a frenzy all trying to get his attention.
"All right people now let's calm down a bit. I will give everyone my autograph, but I need you to be calm for that to happen." Omoi said to the crowd who quickly tried to settle down.
Omoi glanced at the little girl closest to him holding a sign in front of her parents, a FC TOKYO shirt in her other hand. Kneeling he got to her level gesturing her to come forward and after a look of approval from her father the girl she ran out towards him.
"What's your name little one?", Omoi asked with a genuine smile across his face.
"Yui.", the girl responded back shyly clearly starstruck.
"Well little Yui what do you want to be when your older?", Omoi asked the girl.
"I... I want to be a big football player like you Omoi-san.", the girl responded back with more energy this time.
"Well then Yui I can't wait to see you break out onto the scene.", Omoi smiled warmly at the girl before gesturing to Darui still at the car to bring him his football boots.
Darui got them out and handed them over to Omoi who was still chatting with the little girl, her parents and the crowd watching with warm smiles at the wholesome interaction in front of him.
Omoi took the boots from his friend. Grabbing a permanent marker and signing his autograph on either side of the lime green CR7 mercurial. He handed them over to the little girl who watched with wide eyes.
"Those little one are the boots I wore in my last game for my team. I want you to take these and only return them to me when you can shake my hand as a pro football player", Omoi said seriously to the little girl.
"Thank you, Omoi-san,", the little girl broke out into tears and went to go hug her mother.
Omoi stood up and the mother of the child sent him an appreciative look as she hugged the little girl clutching at her legs. Omoi smiled back warmly at the family. The clicks of the Paparazzi's cameras lost to him as he focused on greeting every fan present for him.
In the end it took him over fifteen minutes but finally Omoi and Darui walked into the Airport as they made their way to their reserved flight.
The flight took off slightly later as the two boys made their ways to their destination.
ESPN
"Now back onto the soon arriving LA Galaxy player. Not only is he Japan's Football gem. He's also become the nation's sweetheart with his recent acts of kindness before boarding his flight.", Reporter 1.
A video of the scene between Omoi and the little girl played. Every moment from them stepping out the car to them entering the airport was shown. After the video had concluded, Glenn Davis was shown in the studio.
"What a beautiful display of humanity there, he was under no obligation to do any of that, but he made that little girl's day there. If he keeps this up, I won't be surprised if he is the face of the MLS before long. The fans yearn for someone willing to connect to them." Glenn voiced.
"Yea, his popularity could rise rapidly if he keeps this up. The perfect persona for brand deals and organizations. I think the Galaxy have unknowingly hit a goldmine here. This kid's marketability is through the roof.", Kasey pointed.
"Indeed. I imagine the dynamic of him and the not lacking in confidence Zlatan will be interesting. How they get along might determine a lot this coming season." Glenn said to close off the segment.
LA Galaxy Training grounds
14:37, Tuesday 15th December
A van pulled up to the training grounds, windows fully tinted. Coming to a stop just before the entrance the door opened revealing Omoi Yotsuki the new signing. He was escorted inside the facility where the manager quickly went to greet him.
"Omoi well met. How fluent are you in English son?", the manager Greg Vanney asked the 16-year-old.
"Grew up watching British television and the sort. I'm about as fluent as a person my age can get Sir", Omoi responded confidently.
"That's good to hear son. That steel in your voice gives me great promise lad. I don't often speak to rookies as confident as you in their abilities. Life in LA might yet be for you, I need you to keep this confidence. Got that son?", The coach's stern tone left no room for disagreement.
"Yes Sir.", Omoi smiled. He could tell that although the coach was a strict man, he only wished to push his players.
They moved to the physio to get the medical started. Omoi was strapped up with equipment before being told to run on a treadmill. It started off as a light jog with the physio telling him to run faster every few mins.
"Ok 28 km/h at a constant pace, no sign of fatigue despite running for the past 20 minutes. Stamina test, beyond adequate. Pace test to follow. Omoi! Give us all you got.", The physio said as the manager watched behind him.
Omoi began increasing his speed, running as hard as he could. Long, quick strides followed as he breathed in a rhythm and broke out into a full sprint. Running as fast as he could for 5 minutes straight.
"Very good Omoi! Subject clocking in at 34.29km/h. Oustanding this at his age is Olympic levels of speed. Moving onto the speed test", The physio took the monitoring equipment off and the manager behind looked impressed at the report on the speed test. Omoi was given a moment to catch his breath before they moved onto the weights.
"Ok Omoi, now the strength test is going to commence. We are going to be adding a weight after every bench press and you tell us how it feels, ok?", the physio gestured to the bench.
"Ok you got it.", Omoi sat down and prepared to life the weights.
Little by little weights were added and it was getting harder each time until eventually Omoi maxed out.
"Ok so subject can bench 1.2* his bodyweight. 179 lbs to his 147.71 frame. Average in those teams. Strong enough for his age group but may struggle against more physically imposing players in the league. Something to be worked but not in any way a concern as of now.", That rounded up the medical as the physio documented the files.
"Ok now that's done we have to move onto the media side of things son. Your image is important, so we have to know how you wish to be presented. Your interview is scheduled, and your announcement video will be out latest this evening. Let's get a move on to the marketing department.", the manager gestured for him to follow.
The two arrived and they went towards an office with the tag "PR" on the door before entering to find a middle-aged woman of Caucasian descent sitting at the desk. She had average features aside from her blonde hair. She signaled for them to take a seat.
"So, Mr Yotsuki correct?", the woman had a very feminine voice with a hint of an accent, may haps a more southern area?
"That would indeed be correct ma'am.", Omoi had been taught as a Japanese citizen to always treat others with respect.
"Now we have to build an image around you. You get to choose what your most comfortable with. Now with you we can go a multitude of routes. The media's starchild, innocent above all and your nations sweat heart although this will very much restrict your freedom. Certain topics are never to be touched and you would need to avoid public scandals. The maverick, this allows you all the freedom in the world say what you wish akin to Zlatan over here. This also comes with scrutiny from the media but if you can handle that then you should be ok. The last option I leave for you to decide. Remember this is a lifetime commitment. Pros work for numerous years to build a certain portfolio.", she explained.
"Well for one, I don't want to be restricted. I want to be myself and I am at times emotional so an image that rigid won't work for me. I'm plenty confident but I also know when to keep my mouth shut. At the end of the day…. I guess, I want to be known as the little boy from Tokyo who beat all the odds and fulfilled his dreams.", Omoi responded.
"Ok, we can work with that. Now tell me do you have an agent?", the lady asked.'
"Yes, my childhood buddy. Darui.", he informed her.
"Don't you think it would be better to get a talent agency with contacts? It would allow you to become a household name quicker.", she said.
"No. I trust Darui to always have my best interests and I won't allow anyone else to manage me.", Omoi responded leaving no room for argument.
"Alright then this concludes our image and ohhh. Word of advice don't do something stupid and throw your career away.", she seemed sincere.
"Of course, Thanks ma'am", Omoi responded in a respectful manner.
The manager and player duo went through all the other media appointments and by the end of everything Omoi was thoroughly drained.
18:00, Omoi's Apartment.
Omoi arrived at the apartment provided by the club and walked in more tired than he had been in a while. Darui was sitting busy typing on the laptop.
"Yo!", Omoi called out tiredly.
Darui glanced up from his screen. "Omoi, you look like hell. No matter, I've been busy doing calls for you on all sorts of business ventures and we've got a couple of interesting proposals."
Omoi sighed tiredly as he went to sit opposite Darui at the table. "Go ahead", he signaled for Darui to continue.
"So, we're not interested in any long-time proposals, so I've got a couple of 1-year endorsements here. Nivea Men, 1 year $100,000 to appear in a couple of ads and be a brand ambassador for the next year. Your first ever boot sponsorship is between Umbro and Puma for now, each are offering the same amount around $150,000 for the next two years. Now we have a longer-term commitment in Under Armor, 3 years for $400,000. How are you feeling.", Darui waited for Omoi's response.
"Are you crazy how have you managed to do all this in such a short amount of time, this is great. I'm willing to commit to the Nivea, Puma and Under-Armor proposals.", Omoi said excitedly.
"Ok bro get some rest and recover you start training tomorrow I'm going to work on these."
Omoi went to his room and fell asleep the moment he threw himself onto the bed.
08:00 16th December 2018
The alarm rang loudly as a prone Omoi stirred awake. Turning to switch it off Omoi, shrugged of the blankets. In his boxers he made his way to the shower. Today marked his first training session with his teammates. Stepping inside, he turned on the cold water waking himself fully up. Eventually his body adjusted to the cold water, and he washed his body. Stepping out after he was done, he dried himself, applying lotion and throwing on a fresh pair of draws. He finished the rest of his morning routine and got ready to head off to the training grounds.
09:05 LA GALAXY TRAINING GROUNDS
Omoi had been dropped off by their designated driver. Darui hadn't been able to get his driving license approved yet. Quickly heading to entrance, he saw the facility was largely empty. Perfect just what he wanted. Omoi went to the pitch with his sling bag and upon arriving took couple balls out and began warming up.
Omoi was practicing some shoot drills when he heard a whistle from behind. Turning he saw the 6-foot 5 figure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic gesturing for him to come over. Excited, Omoi jogged over to him.
"What are you doing here this early lad?", The giant of a man asked him.
"Figured I would start training a little earlier and warm up you know.", Omoi responded.
"Well, I'm glad your determined, I might make a lion out of you yet. I wont leave here without winning something and you're going to help me.", the swede went towards the balls and Omoi followed quickly behind him.
Zlatan spent the couple of minutes before the manager arrived to impart some of his knowledge into the young striker. Zlatan didn't know why he felt so inclined to help this lad, but some part of him saw a younger him in the kid in front of him. Determined, the boy listened aptly to the information the veteran was giving him. Before long the manager and the rest of the team had arrived, and team training began.
After a hard day of work, the team called training to an end and before departing Zlatan gave Omoi his contact and told him he would be in touch with the young boy. The coming months were going to be crucial for the team as they prepared for the new season.
February 28th, 2019
Omoi had been with the team for a couple of months now and was familiar with all his teammates. The season started in 3 days for the team, and he had spent the entire off-season training with Zlatan or doing his brand deals. Him and Zlatan had grown close together, Zlatan took the role of mentor to the young kid becoming a father figure to Omoi. Zlatan had invited Omoi over multiple times to dinner with him and his family. The boy had developed a bond with everyone, Helena, Zlatans wife had taken to treating him like one of her sons. He was the cool big brother to the boys, Vincent and Max.
Omoi was grateful to Zlatan for taking him under his wing. He even took him to some of his interviews, shouting him out many times. The people by now knew he was somewhat Zlatan's protégé.
The manager had given the boys an off day and he was invited to watch the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, so he dressed appropriately. Omoi was decked out in a dark green 3-piece suit, the waist coast had a gold chain around the breast pocket. A white shirt, dark green tie and black leather dress shoes completed the outfit. The accessories he wore were a $23,000 40mm Cosmograph Daytona Rolex on his left wrist. Looking himself in the mirror, he approved before moving to style his hair.
His hair was an odd blend between his father's afro texture haired and his mom's silky platinum blonde hair. His hair could be styled into damn near anything. He sat down in front of the mirror and found his hair machine. He removed the upper pieces of his suit, setting them down carefully as to not cause creases. He then proceeded to wrap a towel around his neck and began cutting his hair. By the time he was done he had cut it into a Channing Tatum styled buzz cut. He looked himself in the mirror. The buzz cut allowed his sharp facial features to be prominent.
He finished dressing and when it was time got into the car and was driven to the venue by the chauffeur.
Galen Centre, Los Angeles
Nickelodeon Kid's Choice awards
Omoi and Darui stepped out the Track hawk and the sound of the paparazzi's camera's clicking greeted them. Walking down the red carpet he noticed many recognizable big names, Chris Pratt a bit further down and was that The Rock? The absolute mountain of man meat stood out above everyone else. Omoi himself was getting his fair share of notice. While relatively unknown his known relationship with Zlatan had put him in the media's eyes. The young Japanese was also recognized by the LA Teen Weekly as one of the most attractive young people in the city. His blasian features along with his natural platinum blonde hair making him stand out.
The boy made his way inside and he was gestured to his seat. Darui had gone his ways, working on networking. The event was being hosted by DJ Khaled and as he was shown his seat, he saw a head of black Persian like hair next to his empty seat. Slightly curious he made his way to the seat. He arrived at his seat and took a moment to fully observe the person. Obviously female, he could see that from a distance. She was clearly Hispanic, her facial features defined her as such. Omoi took his seat and her attention turned towards him. Not wanting to make things awkward if they were to sit the entire evening together, Omoi turned to greet her.
"Hey, hate to invade your peace but the organizers seem to have sat us next to each other for the rest of the evening I hope you don't mind.", Omoi threw on a small smile hoping to disarm her. People tended to be more amicable when you made them comfortable.
"No, not at all nice to meet you hi, I'm Jenna. Jenna Ortega.", the girl responded back with a smile of her own.
Ok, she was receptive. First impressions were important, he didn't know who this girl was, but she seemed around his age and Darui had stressed the need for networking. Compliment, just like Darui taught you. "Nice to meet you Jenna, you have a lovely smile." Omoi waited to observe her reaction.
She twirled with the strand of hair on the left side of her face, her smile becoming a bit fuller. The reactions were minute but positive nonetheless Omoi observed. She seemed to be used to getting compliments he noticed.
"Thank you. You still haven't given me your name though", she responded
"Omoi, tailor me curious but what do you do Jenna?", he asked trying to get her to talk more about herself.
"You mean you don't know?", she asked sounding skeptical
"Don't take it personal, I'm kinda new to the states having moved from Japan.", he tried to reassure the girl.
"Ohhh, no wonder your name sounded so unique.", she said sounding interested.
Omoi kept conversation flowing as they sat through the ceremony seeing many people win awards. Selena Gomes, Chris Pratt, Robert Downey JR and many other global stars were present. Eventually the event was wrapped up and people began to leave. He had been somewhat entertained he guessed. Jenna had made for decent company.
As he stood up to leave, he turned to Jenna once more. Ok, now time to wrap it up. He had put in all the work but now he had to secure.
"Hey Jenna, I gotta look for my buddy Darui but before I leave, I wanted to ask if I could get your number.", he was fully facing her now.
Jenna stood up from her seat aswell and he only now realized how short she was. Had to be 5ft2 at the most, she had a petite body but the blue two piece she wore accentuated her curves. She seemed amused when he looked her in her eyes again.
"I'm quite busy so I usually wouldn't but you still haven't told me anything about yourself. I'm gonna make the exception in this case.", Jenna smiled before taking the phone in his hands and typing in a contact. Omoi saved it and said his goodbye and made his way to meet Darui.
Omoi met Darui outside again by their driver. The two boys got into the vehicle and the chauffeur hopped in his seat and drove off. Omoi and Darui began conversing about what their individual experiences at the show.
"It was actually ok, I had good company and I actually got this girls number tonight.", Omoi told Darui.
Darui smiled in approval. When he had met Omoi he was very a very awkward and reserved kid. He had to work numerous years to teach the stubborn idiot how to socialize and he was glad he took the time to. The boy although still driven by the anger behind his mother's fate had matured and allowed himself to blossom socially and it had greatly helped his reputation. Omoi at his core was a good person.
"What poor girl did you harass into giving you their number this time?", Darui joked with Omoi.
"I'll have you know that I'm a firm believer in consent. Her name was Jenna.", Omoi bantered back.
"Aight lil man, lets get home. Remember what I taught you and you'll manage. You care too much you scare her, play it cool and let things happen naturally.", Darui advised Omoi who nodded in return. The pair eventually got home and went to sleep.
3rd March 2019
Dignity Health Sports Park
LA GALAXY VS CHICAGO
"The LA Galaxy kickstart their season with a match against Chicago. They will hope to start on a highnote, this season will be make or break. Rumours around that Zlatan won't renew and if the galaxy is to win something then it is to be this year. 16-year-old recruit from Japan is on the bench tonight as the galaxy line up with Bingham in between the sticks, a back four of Feltscher, Sterres, Poleta and Skjelvik. In the midfield pivot we have Carrasco and dos Santos. An attacking quartet of Alessandrini and Antuna on either wing, Cuello at the 10 and Zlatan up top. Let's get kickoff as we hope for an entertaining affair here on the matchday 1 of the 2019 season."
The first half was a boring affair. Neither side doing much, locked in a stalement. The game felt as though it needed a goal to kickstart everything but in the end the teams head down the tunnels at half time equal a piece at 0-0.
LA GALAXY VS CHICAGO, Second Half 45min
The second half started a lot quicker with Chicago on the front foot. Their work saw them reap the awards early in the second half. Sapong putting his side ahead in the 49th minute of the game. The manager gestured for Omoi Yotsuki on the bench to warm up and by the 57th minute Chicago had hit the bar again and the manager felt ready to make the substitution.
Bronico and Yotsuki came on to replace Alessandrini and Cuello. Yotsuki at Right Wing, 49 on the back of his shirt as it read Omoi at the back. The young blasian stepped onto the pitch for the first time for the Galaxy.
Omoi Pov:
We were getting overrun all over and we needed to do something to somehow shift the momentum. The crowd were growing more jittery and if we were to pull this off, they needed them behind them. Omoi had to spice things up a little bit.
The ball finally came to him in the form of a switch from the other flank. Omoi watched the ball as it floated into the space he was occupying on the right. Now or never. Omoi leaped up slightly to meet the ball his hind foot coming up in a figure four almost as he let the ball fall onto it and bring it down. The crowd blew into cheers, the fans entertained by his little display of skill. It had taken him a while to get down, he had studied multiple tapes of Neymar and he genuinely was a freak of a baller.
Omoi turned to face the left back. With the crowd behind him he felt confident to take the defender on he brought the ball up with him hoping to cut inside on his left but as he made the movement, he found himself double teamed and the ball was stripped off him.
It was now the 67th minute and the team had won themselves a corner. Positioning himself on the edge of the box, he prepared himself to pick any loose ball down his side. The ball was whipped in, and it ricocheted off the defender and fell into his space. Moving forward to latch onto it, the defense moved forward to shut him out. Omoi shifted left and shaped to shoot. The defenders lunged and he instead rolled the ball past moving on the outside towards the line before dinking a ball into the area with his left foot. The ball hanged in the air invitingly as Sterres, still in the box headed it home. The center-back ran to the corner flag in celebration and his teammates followed in celebration. Zlatan came over to him patting him on the shoulder as the pair went to join their teammates.
The ball kicked off again and this time the Galaxy was more proactive. Switching flanks with the LW, Omoi hoped to confuse the opposition. The ball was passed to him by the left back, the Right back saw an opportunity and the moment he tried to close Omoi he realized he made a grave mistake. Omoi kicked the ball ahead breaking off into full sprint, leaving the right back in the dust figuratively to say. Omoi ran the ball down the byline before looking up and crossing the ball in the direction of Zlatan who was calling for it. The ball was good, and Zlatan weirdly chose to direct the ball with his right shoulder instead of his head. Outstretched, the goalkeeper pulled off an amazing save to deny him and with that they had missed a golden opportunity.
It was by now the 80th minute and both sides were still level. LA Galaxy was pushing harder and by now the coach had allowed Omoi free reign in the offensive areas. Omoi received the ball in around where the attacking mid was supposed to be. Pivoting, he released a crisp ball in front of the right back breaking out into a sprint so as not to slow the momentum. The rightback Feltscher continued his run into the box before crossing it to him. Unmarked, Omoi tried to glance the header across. The ball made contact with the corner of his head and as it was about to bulge the net, the goalkeeper pulled a world class save palming it away. Unfortunately for him, Zlatan was the first to react. Heading it back in, the 6-foot 5 man ran to celebrate. Omoi was quick to join him Jumping onto his back.
Full Time, LA GALAXY 2-1 CHICAGO FIRE
ESPN Studio
"What a game as the Galaxy gets their season off with a win. It wasn't easy but, in the end, they were the deserving victors. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sterres goals give their team the 3 points but the inspiration behind this comeback was someone entirely different wasn't it Kasey", Glenn said to his coworker
"Indeed, 16-year-old Omoi becomes the youngest player to ever register an assist in the MLS. He put on quite the performance off the bench being awarded man of the match in his first 33 minutes for LA Galaxy.", Kasey responded
"And it was thoroughly deserved. A lot of fans scrutinized the club going out and spending 5 million dollars on the teenager but from what he displayed out there, they found a hidden gem. Lightning quick, ingenious with his movement and he seems so composed on the ball for a 16-year-old kid.", Glenn remarked.
"Incredible, we actually have managed to get an interview from the teen, so let's see exactly what he had to say.", the screen shifted to Zlatan and Omoi standing in front of an advertising board with microphones held by a reporter in front of them.
"Mr. Zlatan, a big win for you and your team here today. What would you credit the impressive too?", the reporter asked.
"I think this was a team effort, we needed to make sure we didn't concede again and of course when the little lion came on it allowed us to gain control in the game.", Zlatan said, rustling the hair of the smiling Omoi
"Omoi, how does it feel for you getting this chance?", The reporter turned the mic to Omoi.
"Surreal, the fans were great tonight, and it was thanks to them that we managed to claw it back.", Omoi replied to the reporter.
"Do you think that after this game you should be considered in the starting eleven?", the reporter said hoping for something he could make a headline out of.
"No, that decision will always lie in the hands of the coach. My responsibility is to give the manager something to think and I'm going to make sure I always do that when I get minutes on the pitch.", Omoi responded.
"Ok thank you for giving us the time and we would like to give you something.", The reporter then proceeded to hand him his man of the match award. Omoi and Zlatan left to the locker room.
The live feedback of the video stopped and the pundits in the ESPN studio were once more on show.
"Humble lad as well, he just comes across as so likeable. I can tell the lad has a lot to give our beautiful sport.", Glenn davis remarked.
They moved onto other topics as they covered the rest of the matches that afternoon.
22:45, Omoi's Apartment
Omoi laid in his bed on his phone bored out his mind. Today's game was crazy and social media was in a slight rave about his performance. The support he got back home was crazy. He scrolled through his contacts before stopping at one "Jenna Ortega". He still hadn't hit her up, Darui said he should play it cool. He figured now was as good a time as any.
Jenna Ortega
Omoi: Yo, it's the handsome lad you met at the award show.
Maybe he was being a bit up his ass, but Omoi figured he should try to be different. He sat awaiting a reply and it came 5 mins.'
Jenna: I don't remember meeting any handsome men at the award show
She responded with a curious face emoji at the end of her sentence. Omoi let out a chuckle.
Omoi: You really think your Kevin Hart don't you
Jenna: Maybe, what took you this long to hit me up?
Omoi smiled at the message. This was something he could lead with.
Omoi: So, you been waiting for me to hit you up?
Jenna: Maybe, I was more curious. Why didn't you tell me you were a soccer player.
Omoi: Obsessiveness and now you're stalking me. You are causing me concern Jenna.
Omoi: And for the record it's football not soccer.
Jenna: Tomato, tomato. What makes you think your worthy of me obsessing over.
Omoi: If my memory doesn't fail me. I'm "interesting"
Jenna: Maybe it's because I know so little about you.
Omoi: Sounds like there's a simple solution for that. Let me take you out for dinner and maybe I might open up a bit or maybe I won't.
Jenna: Well, we might have to see how that goes.
The two continued texting over numerous topics for the next two hours straight and Omoi felt it was the correct time to end the conversation.
Omoi: It's midnight I gotta get some sleep in before training tomorrow.
Jenna: Ok, Goodnight Omoi.
Omoi read the message and chose not to answer. Darui's advice always in his thoughts, always keep her guessing. Omoi put his phone aside and drifted to sleep.
