Eeth Koth turns to the young boy that attempt to steal his lightsaber, to him him so pale that he almost look like he was on his deathbed, or at least ready to pass out from exhaustion, he was so small, if he didn't know better he'd say the boy is around three years old. His eyes held fear and a high fever. How the black hair boy was even standing, he didn't know.

He kneels down to his size, giving him a small smile. But he could sense how powerful he is, through the force and also some kind of magic.

"What were you up to, little one?" he asks.

He shakes his head, he pushes his greasy black hair from his face and freezes at the scar on his forehead. He has got to be having some nightmare, this boy is Harry Potter.

What is he doing here?

The boy didn't answer him. He sighed heavily. "I cannot help you if you don't say anything. Where's your parents?"

The boy scrowled, he could sense hate, abandonment and hurt over this. What has this boy been through? The best thing Eeth can do is bring him to the temple and get a healer to look at him.

"Come, let's get you to a safe place." he said.

But the boy steps back which seems to be a big mistake, he catches him as he faints in his arms.

He sighed, the boy has been through so much, He carries him back to the temple, hoping to find a Jedi healer to tend to him. Thankful Shaak-Ti was already there.

"Eeth, please tell me that isn't who I think it is?"

"It is. He's ill and the Potters are not in this realm, I think he's alone." Eeth told her firmly.

"Poor thing, he's half starved, it's a miracle that he's breathing, he's strong with the force and…" she says as she places a hand over his scar.

"There's a dark soul in the scar. A Horcrux. Place him on the bed so I can get it out." she said.

He gently lay the little boy on the bed, helps him out of his shirt so Shaak-Ti can see the damage, his brown eyes wide in shock.

The boy was beaten, he has bruises, both new and old, cuts, handprints on his arms and neck. Eeth could easily count his ribs. How was the boy still alive?

"Poor raven." Eeth said.

He decide to leave and find where the boy had been staying, clearly not in an orphanage otherwise he wouldn't be on the streets trying to steal his lightsaber.

"I need to find out where he was staying and I'll be back." Eeth told Shaak-Ti. "Do what you can for him."

He leaves, Eeth asks around to find out where the Potter boy had been staying and someone was kind enough to show him.

"I offered to take him home but sadly he always refused, he doesn't speak much, it's….like he has forgotten how. I do what I can for him but it's not enough." said a shopkeeper.

HE nods as he walks into the abandoned house of the Potter boy, he sees there was nothing, just a few tins, a mattress, blanket, pillow, book and a stuff wolf teddy that obviously belong to him. He picks up the book and reads the title.

Goodnight Mister Tom.

He smiles at the title. The boy has some good taste in a story book. HE picks up the wolf toy, it is all soggy and wet. He'll get that wash for him so it'll be good as new.

"Thank you, is there anything you can tell me about him?" he asked.

The shopkeeper shakes his head sadly. "Not much, I haven't seen him in a few weeks. Poor thing."

"How long has he been on the streets for?" he asked.

"I would say 3 years, I think. But it's like I said, he refused any kind of help or offers. I think he worries about burdening people, he is even afraid of men."

That explains why he had been shaking so bad, he must be an child abuse victim and has been abandoned.

He gives a slight bow at the woman, glad that he has some backstory on him.

But…the question remains, why did the Potters abandon their son?

He goes back and sits with him, watching him sleep. Shaak-Ti had managed to remove the horcrux but he was still out.

He had been so deep within his thoughts, he didn't hear the moan until he notice the boy's green eyes were looking at him.

"How do you feel?" he asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.

The boy says nothing, maybe the shopkeeper was right. The boy has forgotten how to speak but whenever it is a physical thing or a mental thing, Eeth cannot say.

"I'm a Jedi, my name is Eeth Koth." he said, deciding if he shows him that he will not have to fear him, he will open up to him eventually. "You're at the Jedi Temple."

He squints at him and he wonders if the boy needs glasses or if he's trying to ask him something then something happens.

"Are you going to take me back, Mister Koth?"

The boy was talking to him through mind, he isn't sure if it is the Force or his magic that's doing it.

"Take you back? To your mother and father or where you were staying?" he asked, trying to confirm the boy's fears.

"Neither, they hate me. James used to do some bad things, Lily didn't care. They're happier now without me, but I worry for my brother, Hugh and my godfathers, Uncle Siri and Remus."

Eeth nods, his heart breaking for the poor boy, despite what his parents has done, there are people he does worry about.

"I see. That was wrong of James Potter." he said.

The boy blinks his eyes at him.

"Can you tell me your name?" he asked him gently, taking his hand in his own.

"Harry."

Harry Potter, so that is what the other twin's name was, Harry. He smiles and squeezes his hand gently.

"Well, Harry. You're safe now, I promise."

The boy finally relaxes, he must have realized that he was not going to hurt him in any form. Then Eeth could hear his comlink beep.

"Ah, duty calls. I'm going to come back after I attend a meeting, you will be alright, though." he said.

"Promise? Cross your heart?"

Eeth smiles and kiss his forehead, on his scar and pushes his fringe away.

"I promise and cross my heart that I will return, Hare."

Harry Potter nods and closes his eyes, falling back asleep again. Eeth had no doubt that it was going to be a very long recovery for the young wizard but with the right help, he will get better, physically and emotionally.

He enters the council room, some of them were looking sad, no doubt Shaak-Ti has filled them in about young Potter.

"Master Koth, found something out did you?" he asked.

"Many. None of them are so good though, that boy has been through so much since that Halloween night."

So he tells them about Harry and what he had found out.

"He cannot go back there, not if they abandoned him like that and if his father had been abusing him." Obi-Wan Kenobi said.

"Agree I do, A master young Potter needs."

"Who could take him on with the needs he has? Who could possibly take him on to help him over his fears and past?" Mace Windu asked.

Eeth knows he swore he wouldn't take a padawan during the war when the clone wars first started but…he will now.

"I will, I understand Harry and what has happened to him due I had been through similar. But Harry needs help, not just with the force but with his magic. It is a wonder neither of them had been out of control." he said, thinking deeply. "He needs someone he can trust and he trusts me to an extent."

"Agree I do." Yoda said.

Eeth saw the rest of the council nod their heads and he was now Harry Potter's master, his teacher and his mentor and he will not let that boy go through any kind of hell ever again.

He will train Harry to the best of his ability. But if only he could have protected him better.
