The next day at school Lizzie hadn't seen Gordo because he had gotten sick
last night off of something he had eaten. Miranda hadn't been there either
and Lizzie didn't know the reason for her not being there. She saw the new
kid, Connor, sitting alone for lunch and decided to sit with him.
She sat down at the table and he looked up at her. "So your new here?" Lizzie asked him smiling. "Yep, just moved here from LA." He told her expressionless. "You mind if I sit with you for lunch?" She asked him. "Nope." He told her while eating his own food.
"Would you like to come by my house later? I can you know tell you what teachers to avoid and all that." Lizzie asked him since she knew Gordo wouldn't be able to come over. "I guess." He said and she gave him her address. They talked a bit more and then had to go to their classes.
Later when Lizzie got home from school she called Miranda's house but nobody answered. 'Weird.' She thought then called Gordo. Still the same, nobody picked up. 'Ok, maybe he is sleeping and his parents are out.' She though while laying on her bed and then did her homework before Conner would be there.
A little later she heard a knock on the door and heard her mom say that some kid named Connor was here to see her and she was sending him up to her room. She heard him knock on her door so she got up and opened it. "Hey, come in." She told him and he nodded and came in.
"So." Lizzie said after sitting on her bed for a while and nobody was talking. "You live close to here?" She asked him, watching him move from the seat at her computer to her bed. "Yeah actually I live right down the street." He told her smiling. "That's cool, my other two friends live a few streets away from here." She told him smiling back.
