Introduction

Long, long ago, before even the stars remember, there was a lone seed named Argothia floating amidst the darkness. The seed floated around in a type of stasis for many years. Eventually it was drawn towards a patch of light amongst the darkness. The light intertwined with the seed, causing it to grow larger. The outer shell developed a series of random cracks as it grew. These cracks filled with a tiny blue substance that would eventually become water. The pieces that the cracks had left formed soil and earth. Argothia still grew. As it expanded, Explosions sprung forth volcanoes and mountains. Argothia continued to grow, but still, there was no life besides the lone seed named Argothia.

Argothia became lonely as it formed into a brilliant Eden. It decided to create more like itself, so ten trees began to grow along the surface of Argothia. Their roots all linked to the mother Argothia. At this time the seed began to look less like a seed or a plant, but was shaping up to make a decent looking planet. As the trees grew, Argothia named them, and gave her children responsibilities.

First were Tiaa and Buron, the ones chosen to protect their mother. Next were the twin trees Nykuu and Meru. They alone knew the location of Tiaa and Buron. They were to control the tides and currents of Argothia. The rivers of Argothia began to move and flow. Soon thereafter, Rith and Imille were born. They formed a barrier around the world to safeguard it from the darkness. They created a sky, and two moons to control dawn and dusk.

They were Rith's daughter Nymaia; the dawnbringer, and Imille's son Korthelle; the duskbringer. Sesia and Letoia were next. They controlled a balance of gravity, as well as releasing mist into the sky to form rain. Finally Fulien and Dyrine had grown. They were to create life forms in Argothia. The world was coming along fine. Argothia, tired from her work, went to sleep, leaving her children to work out the rest.

The trees grew and grew until they could grow no more. Some grew to be five miles tall; while the smallest grew to be three miles tall. Fulien set about trying to create a life form. After a year of trial and error, she finally created something she liked. She called it a "Kui". The Kui were to be the basic element of which all living things and all magic came from. A Kui, in its essence, is a piece of a soul. Fulien gave her Kui to Dyrine, who in turn manipulated them into little seeds.

A decade later four seeds fell into the ocean, and thus four races were born; drakes, kraken, fish, and merfolk. Another decade brought four more races to the mountains; golems, kyn, the swarms, and embras. Excitement blew across the planet, and the trees rejoiced. Soon seeds began to drop like a plague. Felines, canines, dragons, elves, Iaa, sprites, and many other races sprung forth until there was but two seeds left. The trees were so impatient waiting for them to fall, that when one sprung forth the humans, the neglected to notice the other seed falling within a crevice, and plummeting deep to the center of Argothia.
