Clark later discovered that telling the whole world his secret was not such a good idea. Now that the whole world was coming after him he wanted to run and hide. So being the super fast boy he is he changed into Betty and ran straight for the North Pole. On his way he ran into a young girl. No really, he literally ran straight into a young girl. She flew backward through the air about 50 feet.
Betty seeing his mistake stopped and helped her up. He noticed she was wearing a name tag that said Lois. He told her he was sorry and that he had made a boo boo. She yelled at him and said, "Yeah a boo boo on my head. If Clark had been here he would have protected me."
Betty was now surprised that this girl could not tell he was the same man, after all he had only changed his clothes. He may have understood her not recognizing him had he been wearing a better disguise like glasses.
