Out in space, Galactic Guardians' HQ was under attack by a mysterious creature.
"Is this truly the best you fools can do?" asked a creature which looked like a mass of mirror pieces stuck together. As he spoke, he was standing in Admiral DeGill's office which was in shambles and missing the entire ceiling all while the rest of the building was barely standing.
"How did… you even get to this universe, Shatter?" asked Admiral DeGill as he stood up while moving some rubble off of him and a woman.
"That's Lord Shatter to you!" said the creature. He then lifted his right arm, which was glowing and caused Admiral DeGill to lift up off the ground and away from the unconscious woman.
"And I'll be the one to ask questions, not you," he said.
"What is it that you want?" asked Admiral DeGill.
"I want the location of Atomic Betty," said Lord Shatter while pulling the Admiral closer to his crystal face. Meanwhile, in Moose Jaw Heights on Earth, Betty Barrett was at cheer practice which was being held on the high school football field.
"Alright ladies, that will be it for today," said the coach.
"Make sure to take care over the weekend and I'll see you on Monday," she said before the girls headed off for the locker room.
"You have any plans over the weekend, Betty?" asked Paloma as she motioned to Noah who was sitting in the stands waiting for practice to end so he and Betty could walk home together.
"Yeah, Noah and I are…, actually I think we're going to be too busy for that," said Betty as she stopped in her tracks at the sight of the Starcrusier falling out of the sky toward the field.
"Oh, this can't be good," said Noah while rushing out of the bleachers right as the ship crashed into the field, sending dirt flying everywhere.
