A secret engagement. The thought makes my blood boil.
Oh, I would not mind it if it were secret between herself and I, but no! It is to be kept secret from everyone, including the Phantom of the Opera, it is my love's engagement to that foolish young fop of a Vicomte!
Not for the first time I contemplate murder, but I know that Christine would instantly suspect me. She is not entirely the fluffbrain she was last year, she knows I would not be happy about this.
It makes me wonder, though... when was she planning to tell me?

Hope you liked it. I don't think this was my best work. I've got writers' block on both "Lachesis" and "Plots" right now, but I'm working around that as best I can with these little one-shots! Please let me know what you thought (and if it sucks, tell me bluntly)!
