So there we were. Angelina and me, reading horoscopes in Witch Weekly, when Fred and George Weasley walk up and announce that they've gotten premises.
"Really? Where?" Angelina asked suspiciously. We both looked up at them with stern faces.
George grinned widely and waved his wand behind Fred (also grinning) and a piece of parchment fell with a thud to the common room floor.
"Presenting," Fred said as George handed it over," the location and inventory of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes!" Angelina burst out laughing and I leaned over to look at the parchment closer.
"Wait..." I said slowly. "It says...'You're invited to the Grand Opening of..." Angelina calmed herself and glanced at the bottom of the parchment as well. "Are you serious?" She asked in disbelief.
Fred and George looked at one another, nodded, and faced us; a smug expression planted on each identical face.
-Back in our Common room, three hours afterward-
Angelina was laying on her bed , upside down , humming a song I'd heard on the WWN last week, back when summer was still in session. Alicia was playing with muggle make-up, which all of our dormitory had started using regularly. "Does this make me look too..." Katie muttered staring at her reflection in the mirror.
Angelina, still vaguely humming shook her head. "You look fab, Ali. Who're you trying to impress anyway?" I passed a furtive look at her. Katie twisted around and spoke to Angelina.
"Isn't the blood rushing to your head yet?"
Angelina sat up looking red in the cheeks. "Alicia...you can't change the subject every time something sounds true." I nodded to my friend, who'd looked at me for support. Something passed in Alicia's eyes and a look of solemn sadness placed itself on her pretty face.
"Alicia...what's wrong?" I asked going to sit by her. Angelina (I saw by looking in the mirror) had sat up too, to listen to her friend's problem. "I...I don't want to t-to talk about it, okay?" She got up, abruptly, and left, slamming the door and leaving the pair of us to bask in our confusion.
-Dinner September 6th-
"What's for dinner tonight?" I asked Angelina as we made our way downstairs towards the Great Hall. Angelina stopped and looked outside a window. "What's up?" I asked her. My stomach growled hungrily. "I'm worried." I walked a bit closer and sighed. "About…Alicia?" Angelina nodded and started walking again.
"Well…I am too. Any ideas on what it could be…?" I asked her not really caring at the moment what the answer was. She shook her head sadly. I'm not sure, but I will find out.
Just as we entered the Great Hall, Fred and George ran up to us, "We've gotten an owl!" Fred said happily. Angelina, sarcastic as ever, grinned. "About time too! First letters usually come in First Year!"
George rolled his eyes. "You'd be lucky that we're sharing this. Its from Oliver."
My jaw dropped. Fred looked at me weird. "What-" I yanked Angelina's arm.
"That's it! Its Oliver!" Angelina looked at me like I was insane, then an expression of comprehension followed. "Right. Fred- George- we've got to find Alicia."
