Lamentation for a Villain ~ By Crimson Sun

~

There's no such thing as redemption; sins cannot be atoned

Souls do not come back to earth; death cannot be postponed

How many words can you say to blame those lives on me?

The destruction caused by one man is all that you can see

~

You've never tried to understand the things I choose to do

Called me 'villain!', 'evil!', don't you think I know it too?

Yet thoughts have been established and there's no point to change

Hatred's down my corner and my mind's already deranged

~

I'm bruised and tired, angry, hurt, you've chased me for so long

Never thought to ask me if I want to play along

Too busy being heroes, the world needs none of those!

Yet as long as you keep winning, I guess I'll have to lose

~

In the end, who could have guessed? You have cornered me at last

Nothing more I have to give; so just end this thing fast

You've proved nothing but my point; there's no reason to fight

There's no point atoning, villains will never see the light

~

AN: I have wanted to write something like this for a long time, since it is in my nature to like the' bad' people. This actually works for many outside the Final Fantasy 7 range; as well as thinking of Sephiroth, Hojo, and the Turks, I was also contemplating Vegeta from Dragonball Z, Tom Riddle (not Voldemort. Fail to see the difference?) from Harry Potter, and also every villain to have ever graced Sailor Moon.

Just thought maybe they deserved a bit of slack and needed to vent at the heroes for once. Know anybody else deserving of the title 'pitifully evil?'
