You enter a darkened studio, the cameras all set up, but no-one around to work them, the crew waiting to start work tomorrow.
?: Oh! Hey!
You turn around to see a couple of figures sitting on a worn settee. One wearing a smart black suit with long blonde hair part of which were done in two large buns on top of her head, the other was a girl wearing a yellow shirt and tan shorts, her body nothing more than a metal endoskeleton, who cheerily waved to you. The one in the suit spoke first.
?: I didn't think anyone else was around at this time. Hello, my name is RAM.
?: And I'm KT7!
The other girl yelled.
RAM: You're probably here for the Fanfiction Death Battle series, right?
You nod your head.
RAM: Well, it won't start until next week, so you're a little early, we were just getting ready with our scripts.
KT7: Hey, can't we explain to them what it's all about…
The one known as RAM pondered for a moment, before lightly nodding her head.
RAM: I suppose…We would have had to explain the rules somewhere anyway…
She got up off the settee, grabbed a bottle of water off a nearby table and handed it to you, you mutter a thanks.
RAM: Okay, so first thing…although this series is labelled as a 'Death Battle' it'll function more like a DBX, whereby two fictitious characters from any type of media will battle to the death, the winner will be whichever character gets the most votes.
KT7 stood up and swayed over to you.
KT7: So how do you vote? Easy! By the comments!
RAM: We're getting ahead of ourselves though. In short this is what will happen.
RAM drank her tea before continuing.
RAM: The Author will write a chapter of Fanfiction Death Battle, once completed, on the next Sunday the trailer for the next fight will be added at the end of the previous fight.
KT7: Once that happens, you can vote for your favourite character in the comments, but you only have 6 days to vote.
RAM: Once those six days are up, the author will post the winning result on the next day on the Sunday, all votes in the comments that were made on the Sunday of publication will not be counted towards the final result. However if the character you voted for loses the vote, an alternate ending will be published on a separate series entitled: Fanfiction Death Battle Alternate Endings.
You take a swig of the bottle.
RAM: In the event of a draw, the author will have the final vote, which will be shown by a vote that has a 49.9% and 50.1% split.
KT7: We'll also be discussing the potential outcome of the fight before the fight itself!
RAM: Do not worry, this is merely the author's opinion about who would be more likely to win a fight between the two characters that he has chosen and will have no implications on the final result.
The two girls start walking you towards the exit.
RAM: In addition, our master is quite busy, he already has around 150 battles planned, so there will be no fight requests until those fights are written, unless otherwise stated. Furthermore, all updates to the Fanfiction Death Battle series will be published here.
KT7: I can't wait to see some of the author's OC fight to the death.
You give a quizzical look towards KT7, and then towards RAM.
RAM: Yes, the author will sometimes add his own OC's into a fight, however this will be at a much later date. He will also sometime write fights that have a character that comes from a piece of obscure media, a quick note will be written after the trailer and before the fight about any type of media series that the author deems 'quite obscure'. If you have an issue with a fight having an obscure character or an OC of the author, then tough luck, write your own death battles.
You arrive at the exit.
RAM: I do hope we'll be able to see you in a week.
KT7: RAM! RAM! The trailer!
RAM brings her hand up to her head in sudden realisation.
RAM: Of course!
She turns to you.
RAM: Seeing as you are here, would you like to see the trailer for our first ever Fanfiction Death Battle?
You nod your head. The girls guide you towards a computer placed on a nearby table.
RAM: And remember you only have 6 days to vote.
You give a reassuring nod as KT7 starts the trailer.
A man with a black moustache wearing red plumbers' overalls, jumped up into the air before throwing a fireball.
A blue blur dashed across a green hill, before rolling to a stop, revealing a blue hedgehog wearing red trainers who wriggled his finger.
