Greetings, this is a bit new to some of you in this side of the crossover section, so I'll explain it simple. The Multiverse is in trouble because a god got angry and is using a version of Naruto to become the ultimate evil for propaganda purposes. By doing so, the faint 'darkness' in Naruto was extracted and given a form. This is the tale of a rising evil from its humble beginnings as it replaces the story Heir of Deathwing in my [Dark Prophecy] series.

Pain, that was all he knew.

Naraku Uzumaki was his name, embodiment of the yin (darkness) of the one named Naruto Uzumaki.

This Naruto was not the Naruto most people knew of.

This Naruto Uzumaki he originated from was a Cypher, a protector of the Multiverse. Warriors chosen to protect and expand humanity's progress towards a brighter future. An aspiring hero with dreams and hopes of his own.

Then the betrayal.

His godfather, Jiraiya had sold Naruto out to the Wicked Gods. A faction of gods that were the known gods of humans, but with their worst traits at the forefront and sought to oppress and enslave their human creations to their whims. This betrayal caused Naraku to be ripped from his original self and forcefully corrupted into a calamity that would only allow benefits to the Wicked Gods.

Leading them was Deus, the negative aspect of the Abrahamic God Yahweh given physical form. Both Yahweh and Deus had been in conflict across time and space, since their existence and have dragged many pantheons to be dragged into their conflict. Their conflicts were on a standstill…until a greater evil was present.

Jiraiya had learned of what was known as "The Dark Prophecy", an ancient writing that foretold a great destroyer that shall end the multiverse, devouring both mortal and gods alike in endless chaos and destruction. He sought and used the Ring of Aeon, a powerful artifact capable of manipulating history, fate and destiny to try to prevent the prophecy from happening.

But he failed to realize that by doing so, he indirectly set the Dark Prophecy in motion. It was a self-fulfilling prophecy and had inadvertently created the very being that will bring ruin and despair: Naruto Uzumaki. An irony that his Canon self was a savior, whilst his Cypher shall be a destroyer. Perfectly balanced, as it should be.

This was the beginning of the end, with what became of Naraku Uzumaki as he was given a physical form and corrupted by Deus to be the source of all evil. This infant darkness was sent to a peculiar world deemed unfit to exist by the evil god. The world governed by its protectors…the Sailor Guardians!

Mugetsu

Darkness was all he could see, this shell of a prison was feeble, weak, unable to hold him as he clawed his way out. Orange substance leaked out of the cocoon he was in and fell to the ground in and a hiss escaped his jaws.

He was turned into a pitch-black black serpent, fitting to his current 'darkening' by the Wicked God as the young hatchling sniffed the air with his tongue. This air was that of Japan in the turning point of the 90s. Certain places that were long gone in the 21st century was still here. He should know from his time as part of Naruto who traveled the parallel worlds of modern Japan, this was a point in history where humanity changed.

Deus was apparently hateful of Japan it seems, the corruptive will forced on the Uzumaki's soul screamed to destroy Tokyo and major cities of Japan. It seems the evil version of the Abrahamic God wasn't pleased that His influence wasn't strong in Japan…and how the video games made in this place portrayed Him.

Yahweh was more amused by the antics of portrayal of Himself by the Japanese compared to the easily offended Deus if gossip were to believe.

But with a task at hand, Naraku scurried into the forests, seeking shelter for the purpose of absorbing the natural energies of this world and nurturing his infantile strength. He will study what heroes protect this version of Japan, learn their strengths, their weaknesses, their flaws. No matter how powerful one is, there is something they are ultimately weak to, and he will exploit it to its fullest to defeat his foes. As a wise man once said: "The cunning warrior attacks neither body nor mind." It was the heart.

After all, evil evolves, evil prevails.
