Hero Academia: Elfen Lied

Hello and welcome to another experimental fanfic of My Hero Academia, in which a new inspiration popped into my head in an unexpected way, which began through an unexpected accident when I happened to be listening to my MP3 player, wherein the song Be Your Girl, sung by singer Chieko Kawabe, is playing.

Though I downloaded this song nearly two decades ago, I had no idea that this song was used as an OST for an anime way back, and out of curiosity I decided to check it out and my unplanned research led me to come across on Wikipedia, and there the information got further piqued my curiosity.

The aforementioned song was used as an ending track for the anime called Elfen Lied, which was based on the manga of the same name that was released way back in 2003, and the anime format was aired way back in 2004, and upon reading the information I was further intrigued that the said anime is a mixture of horror, drama, psychological and romance, with some controversial themes like discrimination, isolation, physical and mental abuse and the such.

This made me more curious and decided to download the anime and this somewhat shook me to a degree as it was more than what the info from Wikipedia said, as the violence and psychological themes were graphic but it was somewhat balanced with a mixture of romance, drama, and cuteness in addition to some fan-service, and while I'm still watching the rest of the episodes, this inspired me to come up in making a story.

Hence a fanfic is made, and since this is a My Hero Academia fanfic, as well as it would feature elements from Elfen Lied, I will be using some select characters from another manga/anime Elfen Lied, but some of the characters slated to appear will only have minor and support roles, and thus they be subjected to change, and lastly this fic will be AU.

Given that the main character of Elfen Lied is a cute teen girl, with a child-like glee and curiosity, I thought of who would portray her, and that's where Nejire Hado comes in, which I figure out you would know why, and Izuku Midoriya would be the male lead. Once the upcoming chapters come in, you'll soon find out why.

Since this would be an experimental fic as it would contain the same horror and themes from Elfen Lied, this would be T-rated, but I might elevate it M-rated depending on the flow of the story and if CERTAIN SCENES, such as the violent content, are needed to be added in later chapters.

Ch. 1: Chimamire no purorōgu

Three years and six months ago...

The scene shifts at an unspecified location, where the scene zoomed towards a secret research facility where a group of scientists are busy with something which seemed to be on a verge of a breakthrough, and it is shown that several soldiers are there guarding inside and outside the facility, heavily armed and doing their duties professionally.

The scene shifts at a cafeteria where a secretary, identified only as Kisaragi, is dining with some employees, who appeared to be enjoying their office careers, and for some reason, they seemed to be oblivious to what is actually happening within the facility despite noticing that an increase in security which somewhat further arouses suspicions.

"Hey, Kisaragi…what gives here…?"

"Yeah, why are more guards being added in this place…?"

"Hmm…maybe because this is a SECRET FACILITY…and some of its secrets need to be guarded…"

"We get it, but…"

"Surely there has to be another reason…"

"Um, I don't know…"

"Gosh…"

"Fine, whatever…"

As the three female employees finished their food, they leave the cafeteria and went separate ways as they have work to do, and as the secretary walked the corridors in an oblivious way, the scene shifts towards what appeared to be a secret holding facility where three guards are on duty, guarding something, where you can see that someone is attached to a holding device, where the unidentified person is covered in a full-body straitjacket-like attire, in which the person is restrained, and sports a helmet that seems to cover the person's head and face.

"Man…what's with this room…?"

"Don't complain…at least we're being paid…"

"True…but why are we armed to the teeth…"

"Orders are orders…"

"He's right…"

"Whatever…"

"But who's the one tied up there…?"

"Who knows, who cares…"

"Whatever…"

However, things began to take an unexpected turn as the first guard was levitated and slowly his body parts began to get ripped apart in gruesome ways, which the two other guards became alarmed as the hapless guard is systematically being ripped apart until he is dead before being dropped to the floor laying in a pool of blood.

"What the…?"

"He's…dead…"

"No way…"

"What's going on here?"

"Who did this…?"

"Wait…maybe THAT ONE did…!"

"…"

"…"

As the prisoner stared at the remaining guards, they both panicked and drew their guns and open fire, but for some reason the bullets were stopped midway and remained stationary, and there one of the guards was surprised as the key to the cell was telekinetically taken away from him, and this made the guards more spooked and began to back away, but realized that without the key they are trapped.

"The key!"

"That prisoner got the key!"

"Quick! Get the key!"

"Why me?"

"You're in charge! Get the key!"

"You get the key!"

"No way!"

"You get it!"

At the monitor room, one of the persons in charge of the secret facility, identified only as Kurama, was checking the files, which showed the name of the said prisoner, whose name is shown and revealed that the prisoner is a teenage girl, identified as Nejire Hado, and as Kurama is studying the file, one of the guards came in and inform Kurama that the prisoner is escaping.

"Sir! We have an emergency!"

"Hmm…?"

"The prisoner is escaping!"

"Huh?"

"I repeat! The prisoner is escaping!"

"What? Are you serious?"

"Yes!"

"…"

Checking the monitor, Kurama is quite alarmed as the prisoner, revealed to be Nejire, was freed from the restraints but the helmet is still attached to the prisoner's head, and proceeded to kill the remaining two guards, and then uses the key to escape from the holding cell, and upon exiting she is greeted by eight soldiers armed with machine guns.

The scene shifts back to the monitoring room where the guard tells Kurama that they need to contain the situation at once, and Kurama agreed and told the guard to sound the alarm and have all available guards ready and head towards the area and subdue Nejire, but also gave permission to kill her if the situation calls for it.

"Sound the alarm!"

"Yes sir!"

"Tell them what I instructed!"

"Yes sir!"

"Tell them to use caution! And kill if there is no other way!"

"Yes sir!"

"Go now!"

"Yes sir!"

Nodding, the guard left and sounded the alarm, while Kurama left the room and proceeded to head towards the lower grounds to oversee in trying to stop the prisoner from escaping, seemingly underestimating the fact that the prisoner is not easy to deal with.

At the lower grounds, the scene shows that the prisoner, now FULLY NAKED, is calmly walking towards the next door while leaving a BLOODY TRAIL of carnage as many bodies of the guards are laid there, dismembered and laying in a pool of blood, and upon entering the next hallway, another dozen guards are waiting, and the leader of the squad told them not to hold back and take down the target until she is dead.

"Shoot the target! Don't hold back! Shoot to kill!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

The guards open fire and are shooting bullets, but they saw that the bullets were telekinetically being tossed aside, and the guards are starting to get discouraged but the leader assured to them that they can still win and ordered them to keep firing, and the guards, despite being pressured, obediently obliges.

"Don't give up! Give everything you got!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

However, the tide began to change as the guards ran out of bullets at the same time, and the leader of the squads appeared to be oblivious as he ordered the guards to keep firing, but the guards said that they are out of bullets, and the leader told them to use their guns as hitting weapons and assured to them that they can still control the situation.

"Don't give up! Keep attacking! Give everything you got! The fate of Japan rests within us!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

"Yes sir!"

Although terrified, the guards seemingly obliges and began using their now-emptied machine guns as hitting weapons and struck the escaping prisoner, but one by one they are being ripped apart until the leader is the only one left, and yet he appeared oblivious to his imminent demise and grabbed a discarded machine gun and aimed at Nejire, telling her that she will not escape this facility.

"You won't escape!"

"…"

"You'll never leave this place!"

"…"

"The whole of Japan and the rest of the world won't accept the likes of you!"

"…"

"You will die, you hear?"

"…"

The helmeted prisoner just stared at him before the hapless guard was ripped out and reduced to a disemboweled corpse and proceeded to head for the elevator, eventually reaching the ground level, and upon coming out, she is greeted by Kurama and a dozen guards, and there Kurama tells Nejire to cease her actions though she just stared at him in silence.

"Nejire!"

"…"

"Stop right there!"

"…"

"We can't let you leave!"

"…"

"Please understand!"

"…"

Things took another horrifying turn as Kisaragi innocently and unknowingly stumbled across the scene, and Kurama became worried and told her to run away, which the ditzy secretary is oblivious to her current surroundings, and as Kurama attempted to rescue her, the guards restrained him, saying that it is dangerous but Kurama insisted that he has to save Kisaragi but the guards said that it is too late.

"Let me go! Let me go!"

"No!"

"Don't!"

"You can't!"

"Kisaragi is in danger!"

"She's dead!"

"Its too late!"

"Forget her!"

Indeed, as Nejire made her move where Kisaragi is being levitated before being decapitated, then threw her head towards Kurama's arms, just as the guards open fire, but the bullets stopped midway before being tossed aside and then proceeded to kill eight guards, and the remaining four froze in fear and shock, as Nejire solemnly walked away, and seeing an emergency exit door opened, she went there and is now outside the facility.

A minute later Nejire, still naked but wearing the helmet, is walking by the cliff near the seas, and there Kurama is seen at the windows giving instructions to a sharpshooter, telling him to shoot her on the back of the head, reasoning that she cannot be left unrestrained should she make it to the city.

The sharpshooter said that he is using an anti-tank rifle and the bullet is enough to BLOW HER BRAINS OUT, and Kurama reluctantly told the sharpshooter to make it counts, as they only have one shot at this, and there won't be any second chances, which the sharpshooter nodded and using the shooting scope, he aimed the weapon at the back of the head of the escaping prisoner.

Upon opening fire the bullet was unleashed but the escapee turn around, where the bullet struck the left side of the escapee's head, shattering the helmet, which somewhat absorbed the shockwave, but it somewhat struck her on the left temple, busting her open and the impact knocked her towards the edge of the cliff, which caused the escapee to fall down onto the raging waters, and Kurama is dismayed that the shot wasn't fatal enough.

The scene shows that Nejire, now without a helmet, is featured with the appearance of her hair and full body features. It shows that she is a fair-skinned girl of average height with wide, curious eyes. Her upper eyelashes are long and thick, and her irises are a royal blue. Her hair is periwinkle, and it reaches all the way down to her knees, twisting around itself at her waist and curving inwards around her legs. She has side-swept bangs, tucked behind her ears on the right and hanging just over her eyes on the left, and two short clumps of hair on either side of her face, curved towards her face on the right and behind it, under her ear, on the left.

The sharpshooter apologized and Kurama said that it is okay and tells him to alert everyone else within the facility about the situation, which the sharpshooter nodded and there he and Kurama left and went separate ways to inform everyone within the facility of the current situation.

Hope you liked this chapter, as it mirrors the first scenes of Elfen Lied, though there was a difference as Nejire Hado is introduced in the very start of this fic, showing a side that is a stark contrast to how she was portrayed in the My Hero Academia series.

Moreover, it did show some characters from Elfen Lied, it only featured Kurama and several hapless guards, who they met a gruesome end while Kurama was luckily spared.

While Midoriya and other My Hero Academia characters are absent here, they would be featured in the upcoming chapters.
