Falling for you
Summary: An accusation turns into war. Two young individuals, alike in every way, hate one another with a passion. School AU.
It was already the second day of high school, and the third years had taken their place in being the top dogs. They were defiant, full of confidence, and eager to show the teachers what they were made of. Of course, it was understandable since it would be their last year of high school.
Groups were already formed, and the class presidents were selected for each class. It was like any other school year, but this year would be a little different. Why? There was a "little" disgruntle between the school's most beautiful yet intimidating Hyuga and class F's delinquent, Mr. Blondie.
Hinata Hyuga was not one to be messed with. Although beautiful, she could be intimidating and hotheaded. She didn't care who you were, and one wrong comment could send you to the hospital. Nobody had ever seen it, but there was a rumor that circulated in middle school about how she sent five guys to the hospital for pulling her hair, and ever since nobody dared try her.
She never dispelled the rumors because it added to her reputation, and she liked it this way because it made men not want to approach her.
Then there was, Naruto Uzumaki known as Mr. Blondie, the delinquent. He was a force to be reckoned with and nobody wanted to get on his bad side. He was like the king of delinquents who came to school when he wanted.
Class F was at the bottom, and some teachers didn't care much for the students since most of the class were delinquents, dropouts, or just didn't care about their grades.
They were two completely different people. One took pride in her schoolwork, and the other didn't care, yet they were so alike.
If one were to say, "Hey, do you know Naruto Uzumaki married Hinata Hyuga?" nobody would believe them. From the time they were in high school and the "real world", they constantly bumped heads and bickered. They were natural-born enemies, so that would be impossible!
Well, it did happen.
Two enemies turned into lovers.
How, one may ask?
Their story starts on the second day of high school, and it doesn't begin in romance.
The accusation
The sun hung high in the sky, and every so often white clouds would cross its path. It was already the second day of high school, and things were livelier than ever. Before they knew it, they'll already graduate and be on their way to Sarutobi University.
The way time flew by was a little frightening, yet exciting at the same time. Well, that's how Hinata Hyuga was feeling. She already knew what she was going to major in, but it still tickled her. Of course, she wouldn't admit that to anyone, but it was a little nerve-wracking as one would put it.
"I still can't believe I'm the class president!" She heard her friend, Sakura Haruno whined. "It's unfair! I was class president last year and the year before that. How did I get suckered into this position again?"
"You're a natural-born leader." Ino Yamanaka, another friend, answered. "Your grades are exceptional, and you have excellent leadership skills."
"Hinata's grades are better than mine!" The pinkette shouted, pointing her finger.
"But Hinata is—" Ino laughed nervously.
Hinata placed a miniature (octopus-shaped) hotdog in her mouth and chewed it slowly, while her eyes drifted towards Ino.
"She should have said no." Hinata finally responded.
"It just isn't fair!" Sakura said, puffing out her cheeks.
Currently, they were sitting under a tree eating their lunch neat the gym. The three had known each other since elementary school and they were always put in the same class together.
Sakura Haruno was a very charming and gifted girl. She was smart and strong but sometimes she could be a brat and crybaby. Then there was Ino Yamanaka. She wasn't as smart as the two, but she could be very caring and understanding.
"What clubs are you going to join this year?" Ino asked, trying to change the subject.
"I don't know if I want to join any clubs this year," Sakura answered. "I think I want to relax this school year before we go to university."
"It's our last year though," Ino responded.
Shrugging, Sakura nibbled on a ham sandwich prepared by her mother. "The university has a lot of clubs we can apply for."
"I know, but this is our last year in high school, and I want it to be memorable," Ino said, softening her voice. "What about you, Hinata?"
"I was going to join the baking club this year."
"Really? I'm going to join the school's fashion club." Ino said a shimmer in her sky-blue eyes was noticeable. "There's finally enough members this year."
"It's about time!" Sakura commented. "Maybe I might join a club this year after all."
"Join the fashion club." Ino eagerly suggested.
"I don't' know Ino. Sakura might just burn something." Hinata said, glaring at the young girl.
"It was an accident!" She tried to defend herself.
"Five times can't be an accident, Sakura," Hinata said, putting away her bento box. "How do you burn boiling water?" She shook her head as the event took place in her mind.
Sakura's face turned completely red when she saw Ino giggling. "It's—"
Suddenly, it was as if time stopped and both Sakura and Ino stared shockingly at Hinata, whose shoulders trembled. Placing her hands to cover her gaping mouth, Sakura stared in disbelief. Both Ino and her looked up and saw a blonde hair boy staring at them in a bored manner.
Quickly, Ino grabbed a napkin from her pocket and was about to give it to Hinata when the girl jumped on her feet and glared daggers at the blonde teen. He was on the rooftop of the school's gymnasium.
"Hey, you blonde hair bitch! You spat on me!"
Sakura gasped and Ino quickly got to her feet to calm Hinata down. "Please calm down," Ino said, wiping the napkin on Hinata's head. She almost shuddered as she couldn't imagine someone spitting on her.
"Just ignore him," Sakura said, standing up.
"Ignore him?" Hinata snapped her head towards her. "He just spat on me!"
"I did not!" He shouted.
Mr. Blondie heard his friend snickering uncontrollably and he glared at him. "Kiba, you bastard. Say something!"
"Hell no! That's Hinata Hyuga."
"Yes, you did! That's so fucking gross! Apologize!" Hinata shouted, pointing at him.
"Hinata, please calm down. It would be best not to deal with him. That's Naruto." Sakura's voice trailed off. "Let's—"
"I'm not apologizing for shit!" His voice became just as loud as Hinata's. "I told you it wasn't me, but since you're blaming me."
Hinata quickly jumped out of the way when he hocked up a huge blob of spit and sent it flying her way. She couldn't believe it. Nobody had ever thought about spitting on her. Anger filled her vision, and she didn't care if her friends were trying to calm her down. She was going to let this blondie know a thing or two unless he apologized.
"Aren't you going to apologize?"
By then, a herd of students stopped to watch the commotion.
"Suck my dick!" He yelled before turning his back on her and sitting down. "Why the hell didn't you apologize and say it was an accident?"
His friend, Kiba Inuzuka, shook his head. "I would have, but you have to admit that was funny."
Sighing under his breath, he tilted his head and gaze towards the blue sky.
That girl was the last of his concerns and he didn't need to worry about her showing her face. Everyone knew the top of the gymnasium is where was most delinquents hanged out during lunchtime, or when they wanted to skip a class.
Nobody, not even teachers (excluding Iruka-sensei and Kakashi-sensei), dared step foot in their territory. It was almost as if signing a death wish.
"Did a little girl make you sad?" One guy said teasingly.
"You know she's going to kick your ass. That's Hinata Hyuga." Another mentioned. "I heard she sent ten guys to the hospital one day."
"Seeing is believing." Naruto shrugged. "I don't have time to waste on a—"
Everyone's eyes darted towards the door when it slammed against the wall. They were astonished when they saw it was only hanging by a hinge. The assailant was a short girl who had the vengeance to kill.
Her lavender eyes looked over the group of thugs and anyone would be scared to see these vicious creatures ogled their menacing eyes at them, but not Hinata. Everyone knew to stay away from Class F because they had some of the most vicious guys there, but as for Hinata… she could care less.
Finally, her eyes spotted the one person she was looking for. "You!" She pointed her trembling finger at him. Kiba jumped back when the girl leaped on the blonde hair teen and tried to pin him down.
The group was shocked as this 5ft 5 girl tried to pin down Naruto Uzumaki. That boy wasn't one to be messed with, and even they were afraid of him.
She grabbed a fist full of his soft blonde hair and tightened her grip on his wrist.
"Are you fucking crazy!"
"Apologize!" Hinata shouted.
"I didn't do anything!"
"Yes, you did!"
Naruto grabbed a fist of her long hair and the two began to pull on each other's hair. His eyes suddenly widened when a long clear gooey substance dropped from her lips and landed right in the center of his forehead.
Kiba covered his mouth in shock when Naruto let out a loud screech. He shoved her off and looked around frantically for something to wipe this warm substance off.
Staring in triumph, she brushed her hands off and left before anyone could see her vanish.
As she made her way down the stairs, both Sakura and Ino were waiting for her. They were trembling when they saw how disheveled the girl looked.
"Hinata, what did you do?" Ino asked, her voice trembling.
"I spat on him." She deadpanned.
Sakura wanted to faint right then and there.
"Are you crazy!" Ino blew up. "That's Naruto Uzumaki."
"You already said that." Hinata pointed out as she made her way past the girls.
"Hinata he's a part of class F and a delinquent. He doesn't care if you're a girl or not. He'll make sure you catch hell." Ino explained.
Shrugging, she fixed herself up as best as she could and continued to walk to the main school building. "I really don't care who he is. Hopefully, it'll teach him he can't do what he pleases."
Sakura almost smacked her forehead when Hinata said that. "This was supposed to be a peaceful year, Hinata. You don't want Naruto as an enemy."
Sighing, she twirled around and looked at her two caring friends. "Look, I don't care who he is. If he wants to be my enemy then so be it, but I'm not going to let anyone think it's okay to do what they please. I'm going to the bathroom."
The two watched as their friend walked away, and then they slowly turned around when they felt a chilling breeze. On top of the school building, Naruto Uzumaki was glaring, harshly, at the spot Hinata Hyuga was just in.
Gulping, they held each other's hand and walked away.
It was only the second day of high school.
