The Provisional Hero License Exam was over, the students of UA High School Class 1-A were relieved. Some were happy that they had passed and received their provisional hero licenses while others were disappointed they failed the exam. Izuku Midoriya, ninth wielder of the One For All quirk was in the former category while his childhood best friend turned bully turned rival Katsuki Bakugo was in the latter category.
Izuku had been ambushed in the initial phase of the exam when students from other schools targeted Class 1-A in a tradition known as the "Crushing of UA." He ended up being separated from his classmates and ended up in a fight with a Shiketsu High School student, Camie Utsushimi. However he managed to pass the initial phase of the exam.
For the second and final phase, he had to search and rescue people in a simulated villain attack where the examinees were graded on how they conducted themselves and rescued the trapped and injured civilians, who were professionals from the Help Us Company. However things changed when the number 10 Pro Hero, Gang Orca and his subordinates attacked the examinees during the rescue. Gang Orca and his group were portraying villains who were attempting to obstruct and hinder the examinees' efforts to rescue people.
Izuku managed to rescue enough people and score enough points to pass while he ended up saving his classmate Shoto Todoroki and Shiketsu High School student Inasa Yoarashi from Gang Orca before the time limit was reached.
Bakugo on the other hand was confronted by and fought a Shiketsu High School student named Seiji Shishikura. Bakugo managed to beat Seiji with the help of his classmates Eijiro Kirishima and Denki Kaminari. They managed to score enough points to pass the initial stage by eliminating some of Seiji's victims who had been turned into meatballs by his quirk, Meatball.
In the second stage of the exam however, Bakugo refused to rescue people he encountered leaving Kirishima and Denki to pick up the slack. This cost him as he failed to gain enough points to pass the exam. To say the least Bakugo was furious and was very frustrated when he found out that Izuku whom he derisively called Deku passed.
After Class 1-A returned to the Heights Alliance, the new dorms which were recently built on the UA school grounds. Bakugo approached Izuku and asked to talk with him outside. This would lead to a confrontation between the two as Bakugo demanded answers from Izuku about One For All, he would state all of his grievances with Izuku and how he had been surpassing him ever since they entered UA together. Izuku would confirm that he had indeed received his quirk from All Might, proving Bakugo's suspicions correct. Bakugo would then challenge Izuku to a fight to prove why All Might chose him.
Before the fight could happen a flash of bright white light emerged out of nowhere engulfing the two teens and the surrounding area. The flash lasted for only a millisecond before disappearing. This left the two teens confused for a moment before they went back to the matter at hand. Unbeknownst to them and everyone else that flash had created clones of them and many others. The clones were then transported to an alternate dimension of magic and monsters. This is where our story begins.
Izuku was very confused right now. What was he doing in the middle of a forest?! The last thing he remembered was preparing to fight his best friend turned rival Bakugo outside of the dorms after the latter challenged him to a fight. Neither were in their hero costumes during that time so why was he in his hero costume now? It didn't make any sense! It wasn't just him however, Bakugo had also mysteriously ended up in the forest and like Izuku, he too was dressed in his hero costume. He was scowling and his eyes displayed his confusion and anger. Nor was it just those two in the forest wondering how they got there. Izuku's classmates from Class 1-A were all present and dressed in their hero costumes as well. In addition to Class 1-A were Class 1-B and the "Big Three" of UA, Mirio Togata, Nejire Hado and Tamaki Amajiki.
Their teacher Shota Aizawa better known by his hero name, Eraserhead was also there with his hero costume on as well. Aizawa was tense and was on guard, just a few moments ago he was in the teacher's lounge filing papers and drinking coffee when a sudden bright light flashed and he found himself in this forest with his hero costume magically on with his class, fellow teachers Present Mic, Vlad King, Cementoss, Midnight, Ectoplasm, Power Loader and UA principal Nezu. There were Pro Heroes present as well including UA teacher and former number one hero All Might, current number one hero Endeavor, current number two hero Hawks, current number four hero Mirko and current number three hero Best Jeanist. Next to him was a scared little girl with pale blue hair and a horn on her head who was currently grabbing on to his leg. She was dressed in filthy rags and wrapped in bandages. Aizawa did not pay any mind to her for now at least. His main concern was protecting his students from whatever brought them here.
Toshinori Yagi better known by his hero name, All Might was currently deep in thought, he too was troubled by their sudden teleportation to this unknown region. But he had bigger worries to deal with, somehow he had regained the power he lost when he exhausted the remnants of One For All. He could feel energy coursing through every cell in his frail body. It felt as if he had never passed on One For All in the first place! He knew that this power he now possessed was not One For All but the similarities were too uncanny to ignore. Maybe he can return to being a hero? Can he actually do it? The power that now resided in him was not One For All and he had zero experience with it, he had no clue what adverse effects it may have on his body. Especially in his wounded state, would this power make that injury he suffered from All For One worse? There were too many questions he did not have the answers to.
Many of the students were panicking as they desperately searched for answers as to why they were stranded in the middle of nowhere. The teachers and Pro Heroes were trying to calm them down and assess the situation to mixed results.
"Where are we!" Mina Ashido said fearfully.
"We got kidnapped!" Denki Kaminari shouted.
"Are the League of Villains responsible for this?" Momo Yaoyorozu inquired.
"I don't want to die a virgin!" Minoru Mineta moaned.
"That's what you're worried about!" Kyoka Jiro said exasperated.
Shoto Todoroki glared at his father Enji Todoroki better known as Endeavor.
All Might decided to take action, he may not be a hero anymore but his instincts remained with him.
"Everyone please calm down!" he pleaded loud enough to be heard.
"We're all in a very unfamiliar and potentially dangerous situation." "But we cannot allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by fear." "That will only make things worse for all of us." "So please try to be calm," he concluded.
All Might's words took effect amongst the students and they gradually calmed down. Izuku smiled as he saw his mentor still had it. Endeavor had an unreadable expression as he watched All Might settle things down. The UA teachers were grateful for All Might's intervention as they began to organize the students. All Might relaxed upon seeing the situation had become manageable again. Now it was time to figure out how they got here and how to get back home. Suddenly the peace was shattered by a roar.
