The Unpleasant Tales of Pleasantview

A/N; So this is my next story, I do not own any of these characters, they are all owned by the creators of the sims franchise. Any characters I introduce will also be from the sims franchise, mostly the sims 2 but some from the sims 4 as sims 4 is set in a parallel universe to the sims 1, 2, 3. So it will be easier for me to write them in with their own stories. This fanfic is mainly about the sims from Pleasantview, it's not just about the Goth family. I will mention other families from other neighborhoods as well but it is set in Pleasantview, this fanfic will have mature themes in later chapters as well. Please give me feedback if you wish, I usually write from the POV of characters so this is the first time I've tried to write in the third person. I really hope you guys like it.

"Dad, I need to talk to you." It was the night before the big day. The wedding everyone had been talking about. The wedding of Cassandra Goth, daughter of Mortimer and Bella Goth, to her fiance Don Lothario. Who's name was quite fitting for his lifestyle. It was the wedding everyone in Pleasantview had been looking forward to, for all of the wrong reasons.

"Yes darling?" Mortimer looked at his daughter as she walked into the room.

"I can't...I can't marry Don," her eyes welled up and the tears started falling down her face. "I do love him, it's just, it's just that, it's too soon after mom die-disappeared. I've dreamed of marrying the love of my life since I was little, I always wanted what you and mom had, but I never imagined I'd get married without my mom being there."

"Oh darling come here," Mortimer wrapped his arms around his daughter, she may be a grown woman about to start the next chapter of her life, but deep down, he would always see her as his little girl. Bella Goth, the tragedy of her disappearance. The Goth family where once the most well know and prestige families, originating from Sunset Valley everyone knew who they where. Educated, elegant, classy, gracious and above all, incredibly wealthy. Despite their status, Mortimer made it his mission to bring up his children and humble, hardworking and kind and to never take their money for granted. Mortimer and Bella seemed like the perfect couple. Best friends as children, high school sweethearts, their parents where so happy the day Mortimer popped the question and they married and even more so when Bella announced she was expecting her first child, Cassandra. They welcomed a baby boy ten years later, Alexander, but when he was merely a child, Bella mysteriously disappeared. No evidence, no notes or anything that could've helped the police with their investigation. Her clothes where still in the closet, no one saw her leave. Not even a goodbye to her beloved children. Five years on and still no one has heard or seen her since. Now believed to be dead, the only time her name is mentioned is among small town gossip. Rumours of murder, affairs, some even suggested she may have been abducted. The police originally believed that Mortimer could've killed her, but they couldn't find enough evidence to charge him. No one believed that any way, he loved her too much. After she went missing he fell into a state of deep depression. He retired from his career as a scientist and locked himself away in his study. Cassandra was left to bring up her little brother, who couldn't understand why his mommy hadn't come home. Eventually in time, Mortimer opened up and now he is closer than ever before with his children. He accepted that there is a high chance that Bella may have died and that he'll probably never know what really happened to her. All he can do now is focus on his children and never letting the memory of his beloved wife die.

"It's natural that you feel that way. Your mother would be so proud of the delightful young lady you've turned out to be, she will be with you in spirit Cassie". Only he ever called her Cassie. Mortimer of course was happy that his daughter had found happiness but beneath the surface, he didn't like Don Lothario. He knew Don wasn't right for his daughter, there was just something about him that made Mortimer worry that his little Cassie would get hurt.

"I don't know, I love Don, I really do. But mom is suppose to be here. What should I do?" Cassandra pleaded with her father for answers.

"Honestly, if you want my advice, you have to do what's right for for you. If you are getting cold feet then you need to say something, don't rush into a marriage if you're not 100% sure that it's what you want." He smiled. Cassandra had stopped crying.

"Thanks Dad, I think I know what I need to do." She got up to walk back to her bedroom. "Love you, goodnight."

"Goodnight darling". As Cassandra closed the door behind her, Mortimer, got up to turn off the lamp by the photograph of his wife. "Goodnight my beautiful Bella."

"Not long now until you're married to the Goth girl and we get our hands on their money." A tall blonde woman flirtatiously said in Don's ear.

"Shhh, Nina will hear you." Don replied. "Imagine what she'd do if she found out."

"Relax, Nina and I where out partying tonight, she's probably passed out drunk on her bed. She only knows Cassandra as the rich girl in town who's mom got killed or abducted or something, I doubt she knows the girl is getting married tomorrow."

"Okay Nina doesn't know Cassandra, but she knows you, imagine what she'd do if she found out her sister was sleeping with her boyfriend." Don hissed. Don Lothario, perfect name for a man like him, engaged to Cassandra, the boyfriend of Nina Caliente and sleeping with her sister. There was also a rumour that he was sleeping with the maid for the Pleasant family as well. No one knew what it was about him ,but something just drew the women towards him, maybe it was his looks or his charm. "She flipped when she heard about Kaylynn."

"And you denied that, my sister can be a little jealous sometimes. Besides you and Kaylynn weren't together where you, it was just a rumour created by Kaylynn for attention. She always did have a bit of an obsession over you in high school. Always was a jealous bitch. You don't have feelings for Cassandra either, her dad is really old, so you just need to stay married until he kicks the bucket and leaves his money to his stupid daughter and then boom, hit her with the divorce papers and you get half of what is hers, which will be more than enough."

"And what about Nina?" Don asked. "I still care about her, I mean she's my best friend."

"You don't have feelings for my boring used to be fat sister do you? We both know it's me you've always wanted. I get you and Nina have been friends since middle school but come on. We both know you only went to prom with her because you felt sorry for her and I was grounded. She'll get over you soon enough."

"I guess. Well I'd better go to bed, big day tomorrow for me anyway." Don said. *ring ring* *ring ring* *ring ring* "It's Cassandra? I wonder why she's ringing so late?"

"Well answer it." Dina demanded. "It's probably nothing, but if you don't she'd get suspicious."

"Hey babe, what's up?...What?...Wait?...Let's talk about this."

"What's wrong?" Dina asked.

"Cassandra's called off the wedding."

"She can't do that! You need to go to hers in the morning and convince her otherwise this whole plan is ruined."
