A Demon's Fate
Chapter I
In the Hokage's Office stood a group of ten jonin, each one a potential squad leader for the graduating class of the Konoha Ninja Academy. Before them was an aged Sarutobi Hiruzen, the third Hokage.
"Alright I have summoned you all because each of you will be getting one of ten teams from this year's graduating class. I have here the list of students and what team they will be on. I just need to finalize who will be leading what team." Hiruzen explained to the gathered Jonin. "Now I have most of your teams I am only having trouble with the final five teams. Those teams are Team Six, Team Seven, Team Eight, Team Nine, and Team Ten."
"How will we decide who leads what team?" a shorter woman with raven hair.
"Well Kurenai Team Six is mostly civilian born and are all girls. I feel like you would make a good squad leader for them." Hiruzen said.
"Who is on the team?" Kurenai asked.
"Ami, Kasumi, and Fuki." Hiruzen replied. "I intend for them to use seduction and genjutsu to infiltrate and gather intel. They will not be on the frontlines until they are properly trained."
"Yes Hokage-sama." Kurenai said.
"Net is team Seven. Team Seven consists of Uchiha Sasuke, Hyuga Hinata, and Inuzuka Kiba. Hinata had the highest scores on the Kunoichi side and Sasuke the highest on the Ninja side, Kiba placed dead last. Kakashi, you will be Team Seven's Squad Leader." Hiruzen said.
"Why me?" Kakashi asked.
"Because you're the only one who can train Sasuke in the Sharingan and teach him loyalty." Hiruzen said ominous.
"I understand Hokage-sama" Kakashi said.
"Next is Team Eight. Team Eight is Haruno Sakura, Aburame Shino, and Tenten. Anko, this will be your team." Hiruzen said.
"Hai." Anko said without much else.
"Next is Team NIne. Gai this will be your team consisting of Hyuga Neji, Rock Lee, and Uzumaki Naruto." Hiruzen said firly.
"Their Flames of Youth will burn brightly for the world to see." Gai said rather loudly.
"Lastly is team Ten consisting of Yamanaka Ino, Akimichi Choji, and Nara Shikamaru. This generation's Ino-Shika-Chi trio. Asuma, this will be your team." Hiruzen siad.
"Hai Tou-san." Asuma said.
"Now that we have that situated it's time to go meet your teams. And Kakashi I would advise not being late to the team meeting." Hiruzen said with a smirk.

Uzumaki Naruto was walking the streets of Konoha on her way back to the academy to meet her Jonin Squad Leader. Naruto was a short girl with a sizable bust and long hair done up in pigtails. She wore a backless sleeveless jumpsuit with an orange jacket, and one inch heeled sandals.
Naruto was famed in the academy for being the fastest kunoichi and the best fighter among the girls of her class, only ever losing to HInata and Sasuke. Naruto knew three jutsu; the Henge, the Kawarimi, and the Shunshin. Her bane was the bunshin no jutsu but she was able to get around the requirement of needing it with her other skills.
Naruto also didn't have many friends out of her graduating class. Naruto could honestly say her closest friends were Tenten, Neji, and Rock Lee. Naruto knew she was an outcast; the only thing that kept her in the village was the fact she was the Third Hokage. Naruto also knew why everyone hated her. She was the Kyubi and everyone knew it.
As Naruto returned to the academy she walked in and made her way to her classroom and took her normal seat in the very back out of view from everyone except her class' instructor Umino Iruka. Out of all of her instructors Iruka didn't flat out hate her for being the Kyubi. In fact he often helped her study when she stayed after class to get more practice or do research in the library.
Once Naruto took her seat she felt three chakra signatures take seats around her, her friends.
"Hey guys." Naruto said to her friends.
"Hey Naruto, you go to Ichiraku's again?" Tenten asked.
"Would I go anywhere else?" Naruto asked.
Truth was Naruto simply wasn't allowed to go anywhere else most shopkeepers chased her away if she was alone. Naruto did in fact hate eating ramen all the time but unless she cooked herself it was pretty much all she could eat.
"More like you just wanted to avoid the headache of trying to find someone to go to lunch with you." Neji said with a smirk.
"Hey it's not my fault I'm the Kyubi. I didn't ask to be born as the Kyubi." Naruto argued. "Seriously if the Yondaime was such an awesome shinobi why didn't he just kill me instead of turning me into a human."
"I don't know Naruto but it sure seems like he kept you alive for a reason." Neji reasoned.
"Well it had better a fucking good reason." Naruto said with a curse.
Just then Iruka walked in with ten people following in behind him.
"Alright class these are your Jonin Squad Leaders when they call your team I want you to stand up and follow them." Iruka instructed his class.
One by one the teams we called and filed out of the academy.
"Team Six." Kurenai said loudly.
Ami, Kasuki, and Fuki all rose from their seats and followed Kurenai out of the class room.
"Team Seven." Kakashi said firmly.
Sasuke, Hinata, and Kiba rose and followed the one eyed Jonin.
"Team Eight." Anko said.
Sakura, Shino, and Tenten rose from their seats and followed Anko out of the Academy.
"Yosh Team Nine with me." Gai said loudly.
"Kami kill me." Naruto said under her breath as she rose from her seat.
Naruto wasn't sure why she was put on Gai's team but at least she had her friends with her.
Gai led his new team to a tea house and walked in. Naruto was guarded about the location but she remained quiet.
"Now let's do some introductions shall we." Gai said. "My name is Maito Gai and from this day forward I am your Jonin Squad Leader. Now you all have one more test before you but I have a good feeling about you three."
"What kind of test?" Naruto asked Gai.
"Well to be frank my youthful genin it's a test of skill. I need to know what you can do." Gai replied. "Each team will be tested so their Squad Leader can see their team's skills for themselves. But that's not all. I'm afraid this test has a secondary purpose: it will determine if you remain genin or if you are sent back to the academy or washed out completely."
"I knew that the graduation exam was too easy." Neji said with a sigh.
"The graduation exam just lets us know who has the skills required to take the real genin test. But I have a good feeling about you three." Gai said.
"But Gai-sensei I can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu." Lee said.
"I know Lee but don't worry you can still become a splendid ninja." Gai said.
"Um Gai-sensei it's not that I don't trust you or anything but I'm the Kyubi, why do you want me on your team?" Naruto asked.
"Naruto you're not the Kyubi itself the Kyubi was sealed inside you as an infant. The villagers have a misguided belief that you are the Kyubi. Trust me you're not a demon in human form." Gai replied.
"That but that doesn't change the fact I have the Kyubi's chakra flowing through me and according to the villagers it controls my actions." Naruto said.
"Naruto, you are your own woman. Don't listen to the misguided villagers, it will only bring you down. I want your flames of youth to shine brightly and you my dear can shine very brightly and achieve your dream of becoming Hokage." Gai said loudly. "Now you all get home and get ready for tomorrow. I want you all to burn bright at your genin exam."
