Ash, who aims to battle the World Monarch, Leon... And Goh, who dreams of catching every Pokemon to work his way up to Mew... This is the story of their lovelife and adventures
Goh POV:
Goh is a 10 year old boy, in Vermillion City. When he was younger, he saw the Mythical Pokemon Mew, and since then it has been his lifegoal to catch it. Today, he's received some strange readings, and is waiting to see what it turns out to be. Since he skipped school today, he messaged his friend Chloe
"I'm about to have a fateful encounter, so I'll be late". Then he looked back at the readings on his phone. "Just as I predicted... Those clouds make it look like it could appear at any moment!" He said out loud, to no one in particular. "This'll be easy!". He waited... waited... "Here it comes... Five, four,
three, two, one... Go!" . . . Nothing. "Huh? That's strange". He heard a noise behind him. He turned his head back to find out it was a Psyduck staring at him. "W-What?" A few seconds of uncomfortable staring, and the Psyduck walked away. Then Goh heard a much larger noise, from his front. He turned to see a large
black cloud morphing up. "Over There?" The black cloud dissapeared and so emerged a Lugia from inside. Goh saw all the trainers in the port try to attack it, where they all miserably failed. 'Hmph' He thought to himself. 'If I had my Mew, I would do better than all of them combined'. but he had no time for that,
as he started running down the hill to try to catch up to Lugia. "Wait for me, Lugia!" He said in a hurry.
Ash POV:
Ash is a Pokemon Trainer from Pallet Town, making a visit to Vermillion to visit Professor Cerise, however he fleed from the visit when he got word that a rare Pokemon would be appearing at the port. Being the over-enthusiastic Pokemon fanatic he was, of course he had to check it down. When he finally got to his
destination, he saw dozens of trainers lose to a Lugia without even dealing a hit. 'Perfect' he thought to himself. He went next to Lugia and proudly said "Found you!". Lugia turned to face him, as Ash with his hat pulled down said "Lugia.. Lets battle!" where his trust partner Pikachu proceeded to also challenge
Lugia. Lugia looked at them, growled, and roared loudly. "Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Thunderbolt was Pikachu's strongest move, and it was super effective on a flying type like Lugia. Even for a legendary, that would hurt. Fortunately it seemed to have an effect, Unfortunately not a big one. Lugia striked back
by blowing Pikachu away, leading Ash to scream and catch it. Ash stood up, looked at Lugia, it looked back, and started flying away. but Ash wouldn't let it. "Wait!" He screamed and started running after it. He eventually got to the side of a hill and jumped on Lugia, hanging on by it's leg.
Goh POV:
Goh had finally caught up to Lugia, and jumped with all his might to land on it's tail, he thankfully managed to wrap his arms around it, however he did start slipping. But that wasn't the worrying bit, that was when he suddenly saw someone else on Lugia with him. They both looked and each other and simultaneously
screamed "Who are you?" in complete shock. The guy who was on the Lugia helped Goh climb up to it's back, where they both proceeded to rest for a bit before Goh fully realized what was happening. "Amazing! I'm riding on Lugia?!". Goh pulled out his phone to start recording, and started making observations.
"So this is how it moves it's fins... Its skin is rougher than I thought it'd be-" "But" He was interrupted by the boy with the Pikachu. "It's really warm!" Said the boy in a happy tone, resting on one of it's fins, with pure joy in his face. The boy proceeded "Well of course! it's Lugia after all!". In reaction
to this, Lugia smiled at them and took them on a ride, from the highest skies with Fearrow's flying by, to the deepest seas filled with Water Pokemon. When Lugia decided to just fly striaght, the boy told Goh that in his words "Meeting so many different Pokemon is the best!". Goh looked at him straight in the eyes
and burst out in laughter, telling the boy "you're quite the character!". The boy replied "What, really?" in a surprised tone. Goh continued "I accept!". The boy looked at him in a state of confusion and asked "Accept what?". Goh replied with "Accept you as my friend!", not knowing that in the future, they would
be more than that together. "I'm Goh, from Vermillion City" "I'm Ash, from Pallet Town! This is my partner, Pikachu!" They both held each other's hands and simultaneously told each other "It's nice to meet you!". Eventually after a long ride, Lugia without warning dropped them off as they landed in a grassy field,
their falls being broken by some Vileplumes. That was for Goh at least, since Ash bounced off the Vileplume and fell straight on his head. "You all right?" Goh asked, with Ash replying with a simple "Yeah.." and getting back up. Goh was surprised to see Ash in such a good state after a long drop, he seemed to be
quite durable. As the two boys waved their goodbyes at Lugia, they took a moment to enjoy the terrain, only to have that moment cut short when they realized they had no idea where they were, or how to get back. After a painstakingly long walk which lasted the rest of the day, they finally reached the Cerise
laboratory, which belonged to the father of Goh's friend, Chloe. Speaking of her, she saw them outside and came out the door to remind Goh that he was very much late. Instead of paying attention however, Goh just started informing her about his encounter with Lugia, which Chloe either didn't believe or care for,
as Goh extracted from her facial expressions. Chloe handed him the school handouts, which Goh was embarassed to receive while next to his new friend being Ash, and instead changed the subject to ask about Professor Cerise. Chloe informed him that he was inside with Professor Oak, which Goh in response, wanting to
meet him, rushed into the building.
Ash POV:
After making a new friend today, Ash was sitting, or rather laying down in front of Professor Cerise's Laboratoray. His new friend Goh had just rushed inside, and Ash remained outsde with Goh's friend Chloe. Having learned that Chloe is the daughter of Professor Cerise, Ash tried to make small talk, only to be
yelled at by her Yamper which seemingly disliked him. He then went into the building alongside Goh, and together they showed Professor Cerise the footage they recorded on top of Lugia. The Professor surprised, said that "Nobody's ever caught footage of Lugia's fins mid-flight this close up before!", which Goh
replied to by saying "That's not even the biggest surprise!" "Is this underwater? Amazing Goh!" Replied the Professor, seeing more of the footage. "How about you Ash?" Asked Professor Oak, who was standing alongisde them. "Lugia took a bit of a liking to us!" he replied. "A liking?" asked Goh. Cerise
continued the questions, asking Ash what made him say that. "I kinda felt a jolt when I locked eyes with Lugia!". Goh, seeming unimpressed, asked "What's that supposed to mean? Sure you didn't just imagine it?" in a tone that was very clearly supposed to tease Ash. "I did not!" replied Ash, like an immature child.
Goh POV:
Goh enjoyed making a new friend, and immediately took pleasure on teasing him and watching him behave immaturely. He took a mental note to keep doing that, but not to go overboard with it, obviously. Ash, trying to explain what he was saying earlier, said that it was like an electric shock just ran through him,
which made Goh think of when Lugia brought them underwater, and how it seemingly lessened the impact with a Hydro Pump. Ash contiued saying that when that happened, it was as if he heard a voice saying "Here we go!". Goh was shocked, and so was Professor Cerise, who commented on that being incredible. Then, Cerise
looked at the two boys and had a request for them. "Would you become research fellows at my laboratory?" "Research fellows?" Asked Ash, very clearly not understanding what it means. He really was an idiot, Goh thought. Yet still, he was a joy to be around. "It means special lab assistants" explained Goh to a
troubled Ash. They both accepted Cerise's request. "Oh, you both accept?" Said Cerise with pure joy on his face. "Sure! I won't lose to Ash though!" Said Goh, as if it was a competition. "I won't lose to you either!" replied Ash. "Are you sure Ash?" a new voice to Goh said. He turned around to see some woman
talking to Ash. "Commuting from Pallet Town to here will be tough.." she continued. The woman was seemingly Ash's mother. Cerise replied to her question saying that if that's the case, they can have their own room in here to sleep in. He then showed Ash and Goh the new room they would both share and live in for
the rest of their time working as Research fellows. "Is this our own dorm?" said Goh happily. An excited Ash continued with "All right! A dorm! A dorm!". Goh looked at the double decker bed, and started climbing the ladder stating "I'll have the top bed!", until Ash suddenly grabbed hold of his pants. Goh
got a bit embarassed by that, or not exactly, but he did feel something he couldn't explain... "I'll sleep up top!" said Ash, which as Goh liked to tease him, he replied with "You probably toss and turn in your sleep, so you get the bottom bed!" "Right back at you!" said Ash aggravated. Goh laughed a bit in the
inside, seeing Ash getting mad like that gave him that feeling... the one he couldn't explain. What was that feeling? "I'll sleep on top since I'm taller!" Goh informed Ash, making Ash even more frustrated, but not in a spiteful way of course. Goh could tell that Ash was probably too stupid to hold a grudge
against someone, which Goh knew would make the teasing all that much better. The two continued to fight over the top bed, until it was decided that Goh would take it. They then went outside to say goodbye to Ash's mother, as she was heading back to Pallet Town. Before she left, she informed Ash to always remember
to eat his vegetables, brush his teeth, and would say more if Ash hadn't interrupted her. The embarassment on Ash's face was priceless, and he seemed so cute to Goh- wait what? Cute? Of course not, Goh wasn't attracted to Ash. He wasn't even gay. Not that he had any problem against gay people, just wasn't one.
Goh just thought it was a lapse of judgement, and put his focus back to the hilarious situation of an embarrased Ash in front of him. Ash's mother then asked Goh "Goh, look after my son". This was GOLD! Goh was having such a fun time just messing with a clearly embarassed Ash, promising to Ash's mother that she
can leave it to him. Ash, in the most embarassed he could be at that moment, said "Oh cut it out!" but it was useless. Goh would clearly never let go of this moment of pure embarassment on Ash.
Ash POV:
Ash felt so embarrased. His mom embarassing him in front of his new friend Goh, and Goh teasing him, he couldn't express how embarassed he was, and at that moment felt like the laughing stock of everyone around him. Thankfully the moment ended, as his mom and Professor Oak left to go back to Pallet Town. Then,
Professor Cerise called the two boys inside, to give Goh his starter Pokemon. He gave him the choice of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Ash had no idea which one Goh would pick, but if it were up to him, he would probably go with Squirtle. He then looked at Goh who said "I choose..." and after a brief
moment of silence, Goh finished his sentence with "Mew!" Ash was clearly surprised, the idea of having Mew as your first Pokemon seemed wild, even after he had been riding on a Lugia a few hours prior. "I've decided that Mew will be my first Pokemon!". "You really are an interesting guy, Goh" said Ash.
"Not as interesting as you though!" replied Goh. Finally getting a clear chance to tease Goh too, Ash replied with "Right! I win!" which instantly made Goh start trying to make himself sound more interesting. No wonder Goh kept teasing him, Ash loved doing the same too!.
Goh POV:
After that, the two boys went to bed. As Goh looked down at Ash, he grinned a bit and reminded him "Hey Ash, just remember, I'm in charge of you now and you should eat your vegetables!" which he saw made Ash instantly embarassed, as he was forced to remember an embarassing moment while also being teased.
"Oh stop it!" said Ash, as embarassed as he could be. Goh loved the feeling of friendly teasing him so much, he just couldn't understand why. Neither could he understand what he was feeling. But whatever it was, he liked it. "Goodnight Ash". "Goodnight Goh". And so concluded the first of many days, the two boys
would spend together.
