Companions of Light intended to proceed with near hostile intentions. The
animals were simply that, animals. Pets to be enslaved and manipulated or
even destroyed for the pursuit of gains. A few small groups had already
begun their rebellion against the cult, though to no avail. It seemed near
inevitability was soon to play its course for the rebellion, whom had begun
calling themselves the Children of Suicune, were mere annoyances to the
powerful group of attuned fanatics.
Followers knew the leader of the Lights as Epifano Horus. Rumors wafted that he was the Light bearer and would bring joy and peace unto the world whence the Pokemon population was put in its place at the foot of mankind. His disciples flourished from all walks of life. The rich because they were sworn power and riches.the poor because there were promises of peace and prosperity. The latter seemed blind to the deceptions, for though the lifestyle of farmers and shop keeps was not always the most appealing, there was certainly no monetary depression. The upper class enjoyed the ideas for the simple fact that power begat power and their legacies would broaden and live on with the due offered control. Neither groups fully understood the severity of the situation. What would be the true ecological consequences of the oncoming Holocaust? Not only that, but there was still very little information on how the general Pokemon anatomy worked and were these strange powers came from. Humankind didn't even know how many actual species there were.
Epifano glazed over these questions with ease, hiding behind the guise of scientific achievement and so forth. The snake-tongued man had no true grasp on the severity of his actions. All that the control hungry leader knew was the answers rested in the Pokemon themselves and this new breed of human that was supposed to have come about. They were known as "transformed" or the "half-kinds." Stories told gave way to the ideology of half human, half pokemon beings that had been chosen and transformed.
