Hey all and welcome to my new story! Yes, I am still doing "The Continuing
Lifes Of Boy Meets World" but I figured I'd write this one too. This story
will only be understood if the readers remember the episode where Cory
asked a girl named Wendy out. That's all I'm gonna say. So here it goes
please read and review!
What If? Chapter 1-Wendy Cory led Wendy down to his usual table at Chubby's. "Lady's first". Said Cory. Wendy smiled and giggled as she sat down. "So what would you like Wendy"? "I'll pay". Said Cory. "Oh Cory you're so sweet"! Smiled Wendy. "Are you sure"? "I can pay if you like". "Nope I'm certain". Wendy smiled again. Even though she barely knew Cory, she liked him already. "Ok then if your sure"! Joked Wendy. Cory winked. "Ok then Cory I'll have a Double Pattie Chubby Burger with a small box of fries and a large strawberry smoothie". Cory smiled. "Are you sure you're gonna be able to get all that"? He asked with a laugh in his voice. "Well if I can't I'll just give it to you". Wendy giggled again. Cory got a weird feeling inside of him. And she put her hand on his-sending shivers up his spine. "Thanks Cory". He kept his cool. "No problem". And he went up and got Wendy's order as well as the same thing for himself. (except he got a Triple Pattie Chubby Burger)
Cory staggered back with the order as well as ketchup and some salt. He sat down. Wendy's eyes met his. "Thank-you Cory". Cory waved his hand. "Aww any time". They ate together and talked. After all, the whole point of going on this date was to get to know one another. He learned that Wendy had a sister and a baby brother as well as non-divorced parents". She learned that he had a brother and a sister AND non-divorced parents". The list goes on and on. Cory learned more then what Mr.Feeny had taught him in 5 years. Wendy learned more than anybody had ever taught her in her life.
They laughed and ate and when the burgers were down to crumbs, the fry boxes empty and wet with grease, and the smooties nothing more than a melted ice cube. "Well, I guess we better get going". Said Cory. Cory got up. Wendy sat up straight and pulled him back down. "Cory, I like you". Cory smiled. It felt good to be liked. He didn't even realize the words coming out of his mouth. "Wendy I like you too". He did. He really did. "Do you think."
Wendy trailed off. "Think what"? Asked Cory gingerly not wanting to make her nervous. Wendy's eyes met his. "Do you think we could go out again"? Asked Wendy with hope her voice and eyes as well as fear. Cory paused. Wendy waited and held her breath. "Wendy"? Wendy stared straight at him in reply. "I'd love to go out with you again". Wendy grinned. Cory couldn't help it. So did he. As he had already paid Chubby, the two walked out together; still laughing and having the best time they could remember having. Cory walked Wendy to her house. "Thanks Cory". "No problem, Wendy". "That was my first and best date". Said Wendy laughing and smiling at the same time. "Same here". Said Cory nervously but meaning every word of it. Wendy walked up to the door. "Bye Cory". Wendy blew him a kiss. "Bye Wendy". Cory blew one back. "See you at school"? She asked. "You bet". Said Cory. And with one final wave, the door to Wendy's closed and Cory walked back to his house.
