Friday Afternoon
Motoko, a bright smile on her face, walks home to Hinata-sou. As she reaches the steps, Naru walks up from the other direction.
"Motoko-chan! I'm so happy! I have some wonderful news!"
Motoko holds her hands in greetings.
"Naru-sempai! I also have something wondrous to tell!"
"I'm just bursting to tell everyone, but I'll let you know first!"
"I will tell you also!"
Naru does a little jump.
"I'm pregnant! It's such a wonderful feeling! I'm going to be a mother"
"Naru-sempai! I also am joining the ranks of motherhood!"
"How wonderful for you, Motoko-chan!"
"I am happy for you also!"
As one, they say the next part of their news.
"And Keitaro/Urashima is the father!"
". . . . .?"
"KEITARO!!!"
"URASHIMA!!!"
In the manager's room of Hinata-sou, Keitaro raises his head.
"I just got a chill. Maybe I'm catching a cold."
Kitsune's arms wrap around his neck and pull him back to the futon.
"Shut up and come back down here, I still owe ya six month's rent!"
In the common room, Su jumps up on the back of the chair and watches the television. Shinobu sits down and looks over at her.
"These vitamins that Kitsune gave us to take every week taste awful."
"Yep, they are nasty! But she said it would be good for us."
Shinobu looks at her bottle and tilts her head.
"What does Are-U-486 mean?"
"Beats me with a dead horse! I wonder if Kitsune knows that Naru and Motoko-chan aren't taking 'em?"
Mutsumi walks in from the dining room. She has a whip over one arm and a saddle under the other.
"Oh my! Is Kitsune-san still playing chess with Keitaro-kun?"
Su reaches out with her foot and snags a banana from the coffee table.
"Yep. It sounded like Keitaro captured the queen a minute ago. What's that stuff for?"
Mutsumi smiles.
"I just thought that Keitaro-kun would like to teach me to ride the pony today!"
Shinobu claps her hands.
"That sound like fun! Can I join you?"
"Oh my, yes! Just don't forget your, vitamins!"
Su leaps off the chair and summersaults around the room.
"Ride 'em, cow-poke!"
Tama-chan flies through the room.
"Mew!"
Su grabs a rope and starts to chase the little hot spring turtle.
"Come on back here, ya little bugger! I gots a new rope knot trick to try out that Keitaro taught me yesterday!"
Haruka, carrying a large cooking pot, walks in the front door.
"I've got the chicken soup! Keitaro's a growing boy and needs to keep up his strength! Isn't that right, Shinobu-chan?"
"Aaauuuuu!"
