Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto and Fairy Tail. If I did own the former, then I wouldn't have let Boruto be born.

A/N: Sorry guys for taking so long to update this chapter. My exam is on 18 November, so I was kinda busy with my study.

Anyways, this one is a pretty long ass chapter. So there are going to be a lot of mistakes here and there, not to mention I didn't bother proofreading it as I just want to update it.

Though, I hope you guys will at least like the chapter.

(Honey Bar)

"TO FAIRY TAIL!!"

"YEAH!!"

"Which is the best guild in the whole world!?"

"FAIRY TAIL!!"

"Uh...Naruto? didn't we get second place? Doesn't that make us the second best?"

"You don't think that we are the best guild in the world!?"

"Uh...Well..."

"Warren! Don't ruin the mood!"

"Sorry!"

"Again...WHICH IS THE BEST GUILD IN THE WORLD!?"

"FAIRY TAIL!!"

Macao chuckled in amusement and took a huge gulp from the glass of beer in his hand as he fondly watched the rowdy members of the guild celebrating the final day of the Grand Magic Games like there was no tomorrow.

They have been partying here in the bar for more than 3 hours now and by the looks of it, they weren't going to stop anytime soon. Just like yesterday, Yajima and his restaurant staff members, along with the 'three idiots' were also present in the bar to celebrate Fairy Tail finishing in 2nd place in the tournament. Though it kinda annoyed little Asuka at first, as she was mobbed by the two beautiful staff members of 8-island restaurant right from the beginning of the party.

At the thought of the little girl, Macao snorted in amusement as he saw Asuka clearly enjoying the attention given to her by the two beautiful women now. Like who wouldn't? even he would...cough...where was he? uh... Yeah.

Even after the unbelievable performance on the final day of the Games by Team Fairy Tail. Not to mention the insane performance that was shown by their guild's ace during the last round against the Twin-dragon slayers and Minerva. They had only managed to finish in second place in this year's Grand Magic Games, losing to Team Sabertooth by a small margin of 5 points.

However, none of the members of Fairy Tail were disappointed or even remotely unhappy that they weren't able to win the whole thing. Since they had achieved their main goal of participating in the Games...which was to show the people of Fiore that they weren't a weak guild by any means and if Macao was being honest, they had succeeded in doing so in a fairly spectacular fashion. They might have not won the tournament, but the people were now keenly aware of two things...Fairy Tail was still a formidable guild and it had one of the strongest mages in the whole country.

Naruto had made sure of that by beating all his competitors, specifically, the way he defeated Minerva of Team Sabertooth during the last round. The guild master visibly shivered a little as he recalled the beating that the blonde had ditched out against Minerva for unnecessarily harming Laki; who was now doing fine and celebrating the party along with the others with some bandages wrapped around her wrist and shoulder. Though that can't be said for Minerva, she now probably had numerous bandages wrapped all around her body due to getting completely destroyed by Naruto.

The fight between the Sabertooth mage and Naruto couldn't be even described as a fight. It was more like an adult beating a rude kid for breaking something important. If Macao was being honest, he didn't feel any pity or remorse for the Sabertooth mage and if he had the power, he would have done the same thing to her for daring to hurt their friend and he was sure that the other members would have done the same thing.

Thankfully, even if Team Fairy Tail only secured the second position they were still rewarded by the organizers quite handsomely. They were awarded the 10 million jewels prize money for securing second place, and the guild master was sure that the jewels would help the guild greatly to pay at least 80 percent of their debts.

'Ah...maybe 70 percent...' Macao deadpanned as he saw the members somehow destroy another table and he had a feeling that it wasn't going to be the last one. Though now that he thought about it, he wouldn't have minded if they had won the 30 million jewels instead...ah..damn... he was kinda regretting a bit for not securing first place.

"Oi, Macao what are you thinking?" Wakaba loudly asked his long-time friend, as he saw that his friend had a thoughtful expression on his face.

The guild master snapped out of his inner monologue and turned to Wakaba who also had a large glass of beer in his hand, and he had to hold back a snort as he noticed his friend had gotten a bit tipsy.

"Nothing much," Macao chuckled and replied, "Just worrying about the enormous amount of money that we might have to pay the bar owner for destroying his bar."

"Bah! Don't be such a spoilsport, old friend!" Wakaba exclaimed as he took another huge gulp of beer from his glass "Let the kids enjoy this moment! They deserve this and it has been a while since Fairy Tail has partied this hard so let them go wild, Ya know."

"I was just kidding, Wakaba," Macao grumbled as he really didn't mind the members partying like there was no tomorrow. Like his friend has said, those kids indeed deserved it after going through so many hardships over the years.

"Well can't be too sure with you, old friend." Wakaba laughed drunkenly and stated, "You are sometimes too stingy so I thought that you were being serious or something ."

Macao deadpanned at his friend's statement, though he didn't comment on it since both of them noticed an unfamiliar person enter the bar with a nervous expression on his face. His presence halted the loud celebration of the Fairy Tail members as they noticed a familiar mark on that person's neck and started questioning him, making the person even more nervous.

"Isn't that person from Sabretooth?" Wakaba curiously asked his friend as they noticed the Sabretooth guild mark on that person's neck.

(Line Break)

"What are you doing in here?"

"Shouldn't you guys be busy celebrating winning the Grand Magic Games?"

"Oh! Are you here to join our guild!?"

"Eh…? Why are you all giving me that look!? That was a reasonable guess.'

"Idiot! Why would he even want to join us?"

"How the heck would I know that? You should just ask him!"

The Sabretooth mage's sweat dropped as the Fairy Tail members started arguing among themselves, whilst they were questioning him. He had heard that Fairy Tail was a rowdy guild, but this was quite absurd.

"Guys…calm down. You are scaring the poor guy." Naruto chuckled as he tried to calm down his rowdy friends and walk in front of the Sabertooth mage, who seemed to sweat a little after seeing him. "Why don't you tell us your reason for being here?" the blonde asked the mage curiously.

The Sabretooth mage gulped nervously seeing the man responsible for defeating three of their guild's strongest mages and the reason for him being here standing in front of him. Deciding to simply answer the question so that he could get out of this place as fast as possible, the man started speaking with a slight stutter in his voice, "I'm…here to deliver…uh, a message from our guild master to you…um…Naruto-san."

Naruto blinked in confusion and a bit of surprise at the man's response, and by the look on his friend's faces, the blonde was sure that they were also surprised just like him.

"Ah…what's the message then?" Naruto curiously inquired the nervous Sabretooth mage.

"He wants to apologize to Fairy Tail for our mistress actions against your guild mate and he also invited…uh…you, Naruto to our guild lodge so that he can apologize for her action personally and also to thank you for not injuring her daughter too much."

"Really?" Naruto asked a bit unsure of the whole thing, getting an anxious nod of agreement from the mage. As far as he knew Jiemma, the master of Sabretooth had a massive Superiority complex and people like him would rather die than offer an apology or admit their wrongdoing. So to hear that the man wanted to apologize to him and Fairy Tail was quite unbelievable. Not to mention the 'thanking' part. This whole thing wreaks of bullshit and he knew that the other members had also come to the same conclusion as him.

'There might be a different reason for the invitation…but, I don't think it would be a bad idea to accept it.' Naruto mulled over the hidden agenda of the Sabertooth guild master for a bit and decided to just accept it. Since he wanted to meet that jerk to have a 'chat' anyways.

"Naruto…you are not really thinking of going to their lodge, are you?" Laki nervously asked the blonde as they all noticed that he was contemplating the invitation and voiced their uncertainty over the whole thing to the blonde.

"If he wants to personally apologize, can't he just come here to do that?"

"Droy is right. Instead of making you come to their lodge he should have just come here if he wanted to offer an apology!"

"You just repeated what I just said, Jet!"

"Guys, don't worry about me. I'll just go and have a quick nice chat with their master." Naruto smirked at his friend making them even more nervous, now mostly due to his expression. The blonde then turned to the Sabretooth mage and spoke, "Alright, I'll come to your guild lodging. Though I hope that you guys are not planning to ambush me or something, because it won't really end well for your guild."

The mage's whole face turned pale at the warning and quickly blurted, "No, no, there's no ambush or anything like that, Naruto-san. Our…guild master just wants to personally apologize to you and that's it!"

"Haha, I'm just joking my man. No need to get so defensive." Naruto laughed seeing the panicked expression on the mage's face.

"Naruto. Let me come with you as well."

The blonde turned his attention to the owner of the voice and quirked his eyebrows in curiosity, "Eh…? Why do you want to come with me, old man? I don't think you were invited by their guild master as well."

"Well, I haven't met the Sabretooth master for a while and just wanted to meet him," Macao replied, prompting the other members to sweat drop at the lame excuse. Macao then looked at the Sabretooth mage and narrowed his eyes, making the mage even more nervous than before "Would master Jiemma mind if I come to your guild lodge as well?"

The mage gulped nervously at Macao's intense look and replied, "Ah…I don't think master Jiemma would mind." He hopes so.

"Alright, now that's settled. Lead us to your guild lodge."

'Finally!' The Sabretooth mage thought in relief and quickly got out of the bar and he led the two Fairy Tail mages to his guild lodge. He just hopes that his master won't expel him for bringing along the Fairy Tail guild master as well. He wouldn't… right?

(Line Break)

"Phew…that's quite an impressive lodge." Naruto whistled in appreciation seeing the massive lodge of the Sabertooth guild. It was at least two times larger than the one they were currently living in. Though, he got a bit confused as he didn't hear any noise or any signs of celebration from inside the lodge.

"Naruto," Macao called getting the blonde's attention as they now stood in front of Sabretooth's impressive lodge and advised, no, pleaded, "Don't do anything which might get us in hot water with the council, okay?"

Naruto chuckled in amusement seeing the master's plight and asserted, "Don't worry old man. I might be stupid, but I'm not that stupid to attack a guild master of another guild, ya know."

Macao sweatdropped at the blonde's own confession of being stupid, though he didn't comment on it and just nodded thankfully. Naruto might be not the brightest but he had complete faith in the blonde to not do anything which could harm their guild.

"Though, I have a request." Naruto said prompting the older man to look at him curiously "No matter what I do or say to Jiemma, please don't say anything or react in any way while we are inside their lodge, okay?"

'Ah…there goes my faith in him.' Macao groaned in dismay at the blonde's request and just gave a slight nod of agreement to the request as he knew that the blonde won't budge at all.

Naruto gratefully thanked the guild master and turned to the Sabretooth mage who they now knew was named Assknee "Oi…Assknee? Aren't you going to lead us inside the lodge?" Naruto implored while trying to stop himself from snickering at the guy's funny name and by the looks of it, Macao was also in the same situation. What kind of parents even name their son Assknee!? Granted, he couldn't really judge the guy's name as his own name can be also translated to the ramen topping. But still…

Assknee grumbled in annoyance noticing the two Fairy Tail mage's lips twitch in amusement because of his name. He was really regretting telling his name to them as they had outright laughed at his face after they knew about his name. Though, seeing that he couldn't really do anything against the two…specifically, the blonde, he decided to just ignore it and open the lodge door for them, wanting to get rid of them off his back quickly.

"Thank you." The two Fairy Tail mages thanked Assknee and entered the Sabertooth lodge while trying their best to control their laughter annoying the Sabertooth mage even further.

(Line Break)

As Naruto and Macao entered the impressive-looking lodge of Sabretooth through the front door, both of them were greeted by at least 20 members of the guild who were all standing in a circular formation in the large living room, or was it a hall? The blonde wasn't sure. Unlike the Fairy Tail members, none of the Sabertooth mages looked remotely happy or in any celebratory mood even after winning the Grand Magic Games. Instead, most of them looked anxious and Naruto knew the reason for their anxiousness…their guild master, who was sitting in the middle of the hall on a large imposing chair while sporting a confident grin on his face.

'It seems that he was waiting for me to arrive.' Naruto thought absentmindedly as he scanned through the faces of the Sabertooth mages. He let out a snort of amusement as he noticed that Sting and Rogue were also present among the members with numerous bandages wrapped all around their bodies and were trying their best to not glare at him. He then turned his attention to Minerva who was standing beside Jiemma's chair and the blonde couldn't help but smile in satisfaction as he saw that she also had numerous bandages wrapped all around her body, not to mention her bruised face and her right arm which was being supported by a sling, courtesy of his clones beatdown.

"Naruto-san, I'm glad that you accepted my invitation!" Jiemma exclaimed jovially which Macao and Naruto and all the Sabertooth mages could tell was anything but jovial.

"Thank you for inviting me, I guess." Naruto blankly replied.

Jiemma nodded though he twitched a little noticing the blonde reaction…or lack of. He then turned his attention toward Macao and then to the Assknee who seemed to shrink at his gaze nervously, "Master Macao, it's nice to have you here with us as well. I hope that both of you didn't mind getting the invitation so late at night." he greeted the Fairy Tail guild master trying his best to hide the twitch in his fingers.

Macao simply smiled at the imposing master, not failing to notice that said master was not quite pleased with his presence, "You don't have to worry about it, Master Jiemma. In fact, I'm happy that your invitation allowed me an excuse to meet you as we hadn't really seen each other since our last guild master meeting."

"How thoughtful of you." Jiemma laughed jovially as if he had heard the best joke in his life, though it didn't fool anyone of his real intention.

Feeling annoyed with the Sabertooth master's fake display of jovialness, Naruto implored, "Old man instead of acting like this, why don't you simply get to the point so that we can go back to our lodge?"

The entire occupants of the room, including Macao took a sharp intake of breath and stared at the blonde with shocked expressions on their faces at the way he had spoken with the Sabertooth guild master.

Jiemma narrowed his eyes at the blonde and gritted his teeth in anger, but he quickly composed himself, "Well, I was just trying to be cordial with you two, but I understand where you are coming from young man. So I'll get to the point of inviting you..and Master Macao." He took a breath and looked as if he was being forced to swallow a lemon, "I wanted to sincerely apologize to you two for my... daughter's actions against your guild mate during the last round."

"..."

"..."

"You do realize that no one is buying that bullshit, right?" Naruto retorted completely unimpressed by the mage's fake apology as he didn't feel any hint of remorse in that apology and judging by the complete silence that permeated the room after that awful apology, none of the Sabertooth mages also believed that.

"Naruto...don't provoke him," Macao slightly leaned toward the blonde and whispered, but said blonde ignored it.

"It seems, you are not only strong but quite perceptive as well brat," Jiemma smirked and confessed arrogantly "You are correct, I didn't invite you here to apologize or anything. Instead, I invited you to give you an offer that many mages would salivate at the thought of getting such an offer."

"Hmm...So...what is the offer?" Naruto asked curiously putting his hands inside his pants pocket and quirking his eyebrow feigning interest at the supposed offer.

"I offer you a chance to join my guild," Jiemma asserted and explained "There's no doubt that you are a powerful mage and everyone knows that you are the only reason that Fairy Tail was able to secure the 2nd position in this year's Grand Magic Games. You are wasting your potential by being in Fairy Tail, but if you join Sabertooth...you will be able to grow even further and be part of the strongest guild in Fiore."

Macao bristled at the Sabertooth master jab against Fairy Tail and glanced at Naruto, who was standing by his side to see his reaction but to his surprise, the blonde looked completely indifferent to it.

"That's a nice offer..." Naruto thought out loud as he mulled over the off, prompting Jiemma to grin victoriously and Macao to look at him in disbelief "Just tell me one thing..." The blonded spoke getting the attention of every occupant in the room, "...Is it true that you expel members from the guild if they lose a fight?"

Jiemma hearing the question laughed and declared, "That's right, I expel anyone that loses a fight because the guild doesn't have a place for any weaklings!"

"So...Why haven't you expelled those three yet?" Naruto inquired curiously, slightly glancing at Sting, Rogue, and Minerva who looked uncomfortable at being put in the spotlight.

Jiemma scoffed, "I would have expelled them for losing against any other opponent without giving it a second thought. But they lost against someone like you who managed to defeat a Wizard Saint, so I pardoned them this time." He then smirked at the blonde and continued, "Though, if you join me and if you ask... then I will expel them from the guild."

Naruto didn't react to the words, opting to simply glance at the three mages in question, who were gritting their teeth in anger at their master's words. He then turned to said master and chuckled confusing everyone, "Sorry, Old man. I don't think I'll join your guild...ever. I don't want to join someone like you who abandons their own family and teammates just because of something so trivial as losing a fight."

Jiemma sneered at the blond's words and glared, "You haven't seen the real world yet, brat. People only respect power and strength in this world, without those things you are nothing but a loser! And I don't need such losers in Sabertooth. I don't care about your naive notion of family and teammates, I only care about strength! and those who don't have it, don't have any place in my guild!"

Naruto glared back at the arrogant man and countered, ignoring the tense atmosphere inside the room "You seem to think that your guild is the strongest in Fiore, all because of you. But let's not forget that if it wasn't for the guild members putting in their hard work and dedication to the guild, Sabertooth wouldn't even be among the teams qualified to participate in the Grand Magic Games. So, instead of expelling them like they are some expendable fodder, you should be thanking them for all the sacrifices that they make for you and your guild."

"Brat, they are only strong because of me and don't you ever dare try to lecture me like that. You might be strong but you are nothing Compared to me! So don't try to get a big head just because you got lucky with Jura. Otherwise, I'll have to show you your place in a painful way!" Jiemma threatened the blonde as he stood up from his chair in anger, now showing his true character, "I've been courteous with you and your master so far, but don't try to push your luck again or you are going to regret it."

Naruto scoffed at the threat, not at all intimidated by it, though he noticed Macao and the other people in the room tense when Jiemma stood from the chair "I doubt a scum like you could ever show me my place, old man." The blonde calmly said, making the mage furious with his comment, "My sensei once told me that 'those who abandon their teammates are worst than scum' and by the looks of it, you completely fit that description as you not only abandon your guild mates but your own family as well. Instead of trying to project your dumb ideals of 'power makes the world bow' onto the young members of your guild, you should do your job as the guild master properly so that they can grow and not be scum like you."

The whole room grew quieter than ever before at the blonde comment and stared at said blonde in shock with wide eyes.

"You...brat..." Jiemma growled furiously and slowly started to exert his magic outward, making the already wide-eyed audience anxious at the pressure that now permeated throughout the room due to the Sabertooth master magic "Who do you think you are to call me a scum!? No one has the right to lecture me on how to handle the guild, without me they are nothing! Even if I expel all of them now, Sabertooth will still remain the strongest guild in Fiore because of my power and I'm going to give you a taste of this power now... to show you and everyone that thinks otherwise!" He declared and put out even more magical power making some of the weaker mages in the room faint due to the pressure and prepared to charge at the blonde, who was standing completely still on his spot without showing any reaction to the pressure.

Seeing this Jiemma chuckled arrogantly, "This is only half of my magic power and it still made you scared? How pitiful! It seems I was overestimating you too much...but it doesn't matter now, even if you kneel before me to apologize for your transgressions as I'm going to beat you to a pulp for daring to insult me!"

"Master Jiemma!" Macao interrupted nervously, his face dripping with sweat due to the other master's magic pressure, and urged "If you attack him the Magic Council will take action against your guild. So, I request you to please let this incident slide for now as it will cause damage to both of our guild's reputations."

"Does it look like I care for the Council!?" Jiemma scoffed "I..." he halted his words and his eyes widened in disbelief as he along with every other occupant in the room felt an immense pressure suddenly enveloping the room and completely overpowering his "What...?" the Sabertooth master muttered in shock, starting at the source of the new pressure as sweat started to appear on his forehead.

Naruto rolled his shoulder a little bit and slowly stepped toward the shocked master with his blonde hair covering his eyes as he slowly increased his killing intent with every step, making everyone in the room tremble in anxiety and a little bit of fear, not including Macao because the blonde hadn't focused the killing intent on him though it didn't mean that the Fairy Tail master wasn't affected by it at all.

Naruto stopped walking when he was an arm's length away from Jiemma and put out his full killing intent on the mage alone as a blue whisp of chakra started surrounding his body like an aura. This brought the Sabertooth guild master to his knees, whose eyes were completely widened with sweat pouring out from every pore in his body as he felt himself getting crushed and suffocated by the pressure that the blonde was emitting.

The whole Sabertooth members and Macao watched the scene in disbelief and shock as they saw the arrogant yet powerful guild master brought down on his knees just by the enormous pressure that the blonde had put out. The members wanted to defend their master but they found themselves unable to move from their spot nor even open a mouth due to fear. However, they were quite glad that they were not at the receiving end of whatever the blonde was doing to the man as they were sure that they would be in a much worse condition than their master.

'What...is this feeling? This...isn't...magic...' Jiemma thought in confusion staring at the hardwood floor and fear as he sensed that the pressure that the blonde was projecting didn't have even an ounce of ethernano/magic in it. He gritted his teeth and tried to stand up but found himself unable to even move a finger 'Is this fear?' He dreadfully wondered as he felt himself hallucinate, him getting killed by an enormous nine-tailed fox.

"You know, " Naruto calmly spoke staring at the kneeling guild master, who slowly lifted his head and looked at the blonde with a troubled expression on his face, "I don't really like to instill fear in my opponents because it's not really my style nor its a tactic that I believe in. But you seemed to really like getting what you want by instilling fear through your power on your own guild members, not to mention, your ignorant thinking of 'power and power' above anything else. So I wanted to show you the differences between our power and give you a little taste of your own medicine. How do you like that huh? This is what your guild members felt when you humiliated them and expel them for being weak. How does it feel to be at the receiving end now?"

'Is this really Naruto?' Macao nervously thought as he watched the blonde completely humiliate the prideful master of Sabertooth, whose eyes were now filled with fear. He knew that Naruto was not a normal mage by any means, but to be able to bring down a guild master on his knees without even touching him?... Yeah..he was indeed not a normal mage not to mention a bit scary.

Macao then glanced at the other members of Sabertooth to see their reaction and to his shock and sadness he noticed that some members had tears falling from their eyes at the blonde words 'It seems they were subjected to this same treatment by Jiemma.' He sadly thought and turned his attention to the shocking scene that was going on in front of him. He wanted to stop Naruto before it escalated but he didn't as he remembered the blonde request to not interfere when they were about to enter the lodge, and now after realizing the horrible treatment that Jiemma had treated his own guild members, he deserved every bit of whatever Naruto was doing to him.

Naruto walked forward with a blank expression on his face and put his right bandaged hand on the kneeling guild master's shoulder and stared directly into his now trembling eyes, "Let me tell you something, old man, and make sure that you hear it carefully. Instead of treating your guild members like trash just because they lose in a fight or just because they are not up to your expectations, try to do your job properly by guiding them and motivating them in a manner that is expected from a guild master or a teacher. As they are the ones who will continue Sabertooth's legacy in the future, so don't be an asshole and act like a proper guild master to them. If I hear even a whisper of you treating or expelling any member from now on...I promise you that I'll find you no matter where you are and I'm going to show you what real power is, understand?"

As Naruto saw the Sabertooth guild master shakily nod his head in understanding, he slightly smiled and said while slowly lowering his killing intent, "I'm glad that we came to an understanding old man."

Jiemma along with every other occupant in the room breathe out a sigh of relief as the tremendous pressure that permeated the room due to the blonde slowly dissipated.

"Oh...and one more thing," Naruto spoke getting the attention of everyone, the blonde then glared at Jiemma and released an enormous amount of killing intent laced with chakra, bringing down everyone that was inside the room—except Macao— onto their knees.

'What is this power? This is even...terrifying than before.' Everyone that wasn't knocked out by the killing intent thought, as they tried their best to remain conscious through it. Though, much to their relief, it dissipated as fast as it had appeared.

"Please don't ever disrespect Fairy Tail and Master Macao again, okay?" Naruto calmly 'requested' getting another shaky nod from the terrified Jiemma. "Thank you." The blonde blankly said while turning away from the shaken man and starting to walk toward Macao.

"We are done here, Master. Let's go and resume our party at the bar." Naruto told the still-shocked Macao, his face still not showing any emotions.

"Uh...Okay." Macao blinked and nodded his head in agreement, still completely shocked and a bit confused by the turn of events. Most importantly, 'Did he just call me master?' The Fairy Tail guild master wondered in disbelief as the two of them walked toward the entrance of the Sabertooth lodge, now... this was the most shocking thing for him tonight.

But before both of them got out of the lodge, Naruto suddenly stopped walking and turned toward Sting, "Oi, brat. You asked me how did I get so strong before you got knocked out, right?" he asked the surprised mage with a calm tone.

The White Dragon Slayer was taken aback by surprise at Naruto suddenly addressing him, but nonetheless, gave an unsure nod of his head at the question as he remembered that he had indeed asked the Fairy Tail mage about it before he lost consciousness during his and Rouge fight against said mage.

"A good friend of mine once told me that; When people are protecting something truly precious to them. They truly can become…as strong as they need to be," Naruto told the dragon slayer with a slight smile, "So try to find someone or something precious to you, say...like your friends or family, and train hard with the motivation to protect them. Then I promised you that you will one day get stronger just like me."

'Precious people?' Sting along with everyone in the room wondered in confusion as the blonde and his master walked out from their guild lodge.

(Line Break)

Macao glanced at the blonde blank expression in confusion and a bit of concern as both of them now stood outside the Sabertooth lodge. The guild master was still surprised by what Naruto had managed to pull off just a few seconds ago, not to mention the way the blonde had acted throughout the whole ordeal, including addressing him as 'master'...it was unlike him.

"Old man..." Naruto muttered and turned toward Macao, who sighed at being called an 'old man' again, "I was so cool back there! wasn't I!?" The blonde suddenly exclaimed with a goofy grin on his face.

'Ah... never mind, he is back to his old self again.' Macao sweatdropped at the goofy expression on the blonde face and then chuckled in amusement, "Indeed, you were quite cool, brat."

"Damn! I never knew that I was so cool!" Naruto grinned and patted himself on the back, figuratively of course "I can't wait to brag about it to the guild members!"

"Sure, brat." Macao laughed and said, "Let's go back to the bar then, shall we?" getting an enthusiastic nod from the blonde.

"So...whose your precious people, brat?" Macao curiously asked Naruto, who was walking beside him as he remembered the advice that the blonde had given to Sting.

"Well, Of course, it's Fairy Tail and all my friends, old man!" Naruto grinned, prompting the guild master to smile at the blonde answer.

"He...Hello."

The two Fairy Tail mages turned back curiously as both of them heard someone meekly greeting them. To their surprise, the person turned out to be a young girl who was looking at them nervously.

The girl had light blue hair and fringes framing her face. Along with a very pretty white dress, she was also wearing a blue rose ornament on the left side of her head.

'This world is certainly weird...' Naruto thought with a slight blush on his face as his eyes trailed to her well-endowed breast by accident. Every girl that he had come across in this world turned out to be quite gifted in that department, he was sure that something was amiss in this world's air.

"Hello, how can we help you dear?" Macao asked the fidgeting girl with a kind smile, though Naruto didn't fail to notice the slight blush on the master's face as well.

"Ah...You are Fairy Tail...guild master right?" The girl inquired while nervously fidgeting with her hands.

"Yes, I am the guild master of Fairy Tail," Macao answered raising his eyebrow in curiosity, "So...Did you need something?"

The girl shyly nodded and after trying to muster her courage she quickly blurted out, "If...uh, I wanted to join Fairy Tail!" She closed her eyes in nervousness and after not getting any answers from the two Fairy Tail mages for a few seconds, she decided to take a peek and grew confused as she saw them looking at her with their jaws on the floor, literally.

"Uh...Can I join? Do I have to give a test to join, like Sabertooth?" She nervously inquired.

Both the Fairy Tail mages still didn't reply, as they were still in surprise at her request as they had never thought someone would ask them to join their guild...not in the middle of the streets of the capital city at least.

"Um...Hello? Are you two alright...? Macao-sama, Naruto–sama?"

(3 days later, Era)

Inside an immense hall, 9 figures can be seen discussing something with each other. 8 of the figures were standing on the hand of four massive statues that were placed in a pool of an unknown liquid. While the last figure stood on a high pillar emerging from the water, surrounded by the other figures.

They were the members of the Magic Council of Ishgar, which rules and presided over all of the legal scattered throughout Earth Land, overseeing them and keeping them in check, and they were the ones responsible for the events caused by Mages, also possessing the right to punish Mages who break the law.

"If this is all, then the meeting is adjourned for today." The Chairman, Gran Doma declared authoritatively, prompting the other members that were standing at the hands of each of the four massive statues to bow respectively. Except for one member who was standing closest to the chairman.

Seeing this, Gran Doma raised his eyebrow and inquired, "Is there something that you wanted to discuss, Councilor Org?"

Org was a tall, gray-haired elderly man with a considerably long beard. He was also wearing multiple layers of robes, much like the other members of the Magic Council, and on top of his head, he had a small bat-shaped ornament.

He was originally a rather belligerent, strict man and openly showed his intolerance and borderline dislike for Fairy Tail, because of their tendency to cause unnecessary destruction on every job that they took. Due to that, he had even gone out of his way to see Fairy Tail disbanded in the past, however after their help in preventing Etherion from destroying countless innocent lives and destroying theOración Sies, he started to view Fairy Tail in a softer, more grand light and now, ironically, was the only one in the Council that defended them and vouched for them whenever the remaining members of Fairy Tail destroyed public properties.

The 2nd-seat member of the Magic council bowed his head respectfully to the Chairman and answered, "Indeed Chairman, I do have an important topic to discuss with you all today. Which is to discuss about a possible candidate for the vacant position of the Wizard Saints."

Just like that, the other members started conversing among themselves...quite loudly and dramatically.

"Wizard Saint?"

"It's high time that we fill the two vacant positions."

"You are correct. Two positions have been vacant for the past 5 years! So we must fill them to act as a deterrent against any Dark guilds!"

"Though, who do you think is the candidate?"

"I don't know. These days the skill of the mages is not quite up to the mark."

"Indeed. All the current S-class mages are nothing compared to the mages of our time!"

"SILENCE!!" Gran Doma yelled, silencing the members with a tick mark on his forehead. He then sighed at the unprofessionalism of some of the members for the seventh time today and turned to Org...the most professional one among them, after him of course. Though, he did agree with the other members that the vacancy that was left in the Wizard Saint ranks after Jose Porla's arrest and Makarov's untimely death/disappearance, needed to fill with capable mages as soon as possible; due to the increase in the number of Dark Guilds and their activities over the past few years.

"So, Councilor Org...Do you have any candidates that you would like to recommend for the vacant positions?" Gran Doma asked curiously.

"Yes, I do, Chairman." Org replied and added, "Though, I only have one candidate."

Gran Doma nodded in understanding and inquired, "So who do you want to recommend?"

"I want to recommend Naruto Uzumaki from Fairy Tail guild," Org informed, and just as he had been expecting the room exploded into chaos, once again.

"Naruto Uzumaki? Who is that?"

"Isn't he the one that defeated Jura-dono?"

"YES, I think he is the one! I saw that battle! That battle was quite exceptional!"

"If he was able to defeat Jura-dono, then there's no denying that he is a capable mage for the position."

"Don't be too haste to make such kind of decisions. The Wizard Saint ranks are not given to just strong mages, one needs to have certain achievements and a sense of responsibility to act as a face for the Magic Council in front of the public!"

"Though, isn't he too young to be given the title of Wizard Saint?"

"Not to mention, he is from Fairy Tail. The most troublesome guild in the whole country!"

"Indeed. Even with the disappearance of the more destructive members five years ago, they still haven't stopped causing unnecessary damages to public properties!"

"Even if he is qualified, wasn't he promoted to S-class rank just a few months ago?"

"Ahem..." Gran Doma spoke and calmed down the loud chattering of the members, who looked at the Chairman with varying nervous expressions on their faces as they noticed a bulging vine twitching on his forehead, "Now that you all have decided to act like a respectable member of this esteemed council. Why don't we hear from Councilor Org first for his reason to recommend Naruto Uzumaki for the Wizard Saint Rank?"

The Council members, sans Org, had the decency to look sheepish at the Chairman's words and turned their attention to Org to hear his reasoning.

"Thank you, Chairman." Org gratefully bowed to the chairman and explained, "I recommend Naruto Uzumaki for the position because, at such a young age, he is not only a powerful mage as shown by his performance during the recently hosted Grand Magic Games..." Some of the members nodded in agreement recalling the unbelievable performance showcased by the mage in question.

Org continued with his explanation with a determined look on his face as he saw the members listening to him attentively "...but we have yet to receive any negative reports of him during job requests from the clients. Moreover, I have received recommendation letters for his place in the Wizard Saints rank from both Yajima-dono and Jura-dono, as well." He pulled out two letters from his sleeves and transported them to the desk of the Chairman as proof, who quickly read through the letters and nodded in approval that they were both legit. This made the other members contemplate and consider the idea even more as both Yajima and Jura were respected figures in the magical world and their recommendations held a lot of weight.

Seeing the member's expressions, Org grinned internally in satisfaction, he didnt really let it appear on his face as it was quite improper for someone of his stature, 'Now to seal the deal.' He thought and spoke again, "Not only that, he seemed to be quite loved by the public after his recent performance in the Grand Magic games, and his face has been on the cover of various popular magazines in just 3 days, with the public wanting to know more about him. So if we grant him the rank of the Wizard Saint, we will not only be able the fill up one of the vacant positions of the Wizard saint with a capable and strong mage. We will also be able to capitalize on his recent increase in fame with the public, which will, in turn, give the council a positive image and impression in front of the public with him in our ranks."

This sealed the deal with the council members as Org had thought. Since they started voicing their agreement with the Chairman to consider Naruto Uzumaki for the Wizard Saint ranks. Though, the Chairman didn't say anything as he was busy scanning through the information about the blonde from a file that he had just summoned with rune magic.

"Naruto Uzumaki...he does seem like quite a capable young man for the ranks." Gran Doma spoke out loud as he finished reading through the blonde file "Though, I have some reservations regarding him."

"Reservations?" One of the members asked and requested the chairman to elaborate.

"Yes, reservations." The Chairman nodded and clarified, "Mostly about his magic and his whereabouts. How was such a strong mage like him not known to us for so long? In Yajima-dono's letter, it is mentioned that Naruto Uzumaki used to work in his restaurant for about a year before joining Fairy Tail. But, we only knew about his name just 6 months ago when we received his file from the Fairy Tail guild master to request his promotion to an S-class mage. Not only that, but he also managed to defeat Jura during the GMGs...which is quite impossible for any rookie S-class mage to achieve. Moreover, his ability and mastery over multiple forms of magic at such a young age are quite remarkable, yet...concerning. Since we don't know much about him, his origin, or even how he was able to stay out of the spotlight for so many years? We must check all of this first before we make any rash decisions."

After hearing Gran Doma's reasoning, the council members grew somewhat concerned about the whole thing and started to discuss loudly among themselves...again.

"Chairman." Org respectfully called and after getting the gesture to go ahead, he reasoned, "I know there are lots of questions and mysteries about young Naruto Uzumaki, but we should also consider that he is a capable mage and someone that we could trust to be loyal to the Council and Fiore as a whole. Yajima-dono has made it clear to me that Naruto Uzumaki is someone that we can trust as he had personally trained the young man during the years that he was working in his restaurant. Furthermore, we all know that Yajima-dono isn't someone who lies or make poor assessment or judgment about a person's character and he wouldn't have recommended Naruto Uzumaki for such an important position if he didn't trust the young man."

Gran Doma contemplated over the reasoning given by Org for quite a while as all the council members looked at him, expectantly for his decision. After a few seconds, he finally let out a sigh and declared, "Although, you made some valid points Councilor Org. I still have some concerns regarding this promotion... So, to make sure that Naruto Uzumaki can be trusted by us to carry the rank of Wizard Saint, we are going to first evaluate his capabilities and loyalty by sending him on a job. Only after that, I will make the final decision as to whether we should grant him the rank or not." He then took a deep breath and with a firm voice, as expected from someone of his position, uttered, "All those in favor!?"

All of the members raised their hands in agreement with the Chairman's decision.

"Good." Gran Doma nodded and raised a question "Now, which job should we give Naruto Uzumaki for this evaluation?"

"I have a perfect job for him, Chairman." Org quickly responded, and told the council about what kind of job he wanted to give Naruto after receiving the signal to speak from the chairman.

"That's a good idea!"

"It's like it was fated, isn't it?"

Some of the council members started to chuckle in amusement and voiced their approval after hearing Org's devious plan.

"You knew that this was going to happen didn't you?" Gran Doma accused the 2nd seat member with a very visible twitch in his forehead.

"I don't know what you are talking about, Honourable Chairman."

The twitch in his forehead noticeably got larger at Org's denial, though he composed himself and grunted...authoritatively of course.

"We will summon Naruto Uzumaki tomorrow to discuss this matter with him. So, the meeting is adorned for today!"

(The Next Day, Fairy Tail)

8:40 am

It has been four days since the Fairy Tail members returned to their guild in Magnolia Town from the Capital city, after the end of the eventful Grand Magic Games. To their surprise and joy, they were welcomed back by the Mayor and all the townsfolk, including the members of the Twilight Ogre guild in a huge festive ceremony, for the guild's achievement in the aforementioned games. Since it not only brought prestige and attention to the guild but was also a huge honor for the whole people of Magnolia Town, to have the current second-strongest guild in Fiore in their town. Not to mention, the increase in business for the townsfolk due to the attention that the town was going to receive from the whole thing.

Moreover, much to the happiness of the guild master of Fairy Tail. The Mayor also waved off the rent for their guild building for a whole year, as a prize for bringing glory and prestige to their beloved town.

After the grandiose celebration in the town hall with all the townsfolk, which lasted a whole night. The Fairy Tail members all went back to their normal routines of taking jobs, lazing around their guild hall, training, gossiping...etc. Though, all of them were now much more confident and optimistic than they were before the Grand Magic Games, and... why wouldn't they be?

They were not only able to silence all their naysayers by securing the second position in the Grand Magic Games in an unbelievable fashion. They were now also receiving a lot of job requests from various clients. In just three days they had received almost 69 job requests, which was almost double the amount that they used to receive just a few days ago! In just three days they had received more job requests than they were used to getting in a whole month! Granted, most of the jobs were all below A-rank, nonetheless, it was still a huge amount of requests.

However, the most exciting thing for the whole guild was the addition of a new member to their family after almost a year. To say that the whole guild was shocked would be an understatement when Naruto and Macao brought a young girl named Yukino, to the Honey bar five days ago and joyously informed them that she was going to be joining their guild.

As expected of Fairy Tail, It didn't take long for all the members to quickly warm up to the shy girl, who tended to oddly refer to everyone as 'Sama', and welcomed her with open arms to their guild. Though they were quite intrigued at first when they learned that she was actually planning of attempting her second trial to join Sabertooth that night, as she had failed on her first try a few months ago, due to Jiemma deeming her too 'weak'. Which made all the Fairy Tail member's blood boil in anger.

However, much to their relief and joy, Yukino decided to join Fairy Tail that night when she overheard the 'speech' that Naruto was giving to the Sabertooth guild master. Which greatly boosts the blonde's already huge 'ego'. Though, the members weren't surprised that she decided to join them after hearing their ace 'speech', as most of them were also bursting out in tears of joy; when Macao told them what the blonde had done inside the Sabertooth lodge to defend not only them but also to defend the Sabertooth members against Jiemma disrespects.

At present, the guild hall was quite silent as most of the members had decided to take up various job requests, as the job posters had started to slowly pile up due to the few number of active members in the guild. Even Yukino had decided to take up her first-ever job request, which was a simple C-rank job. Though, since she was essentially a rookie, she was paired up with Laki for the job by the guild master.

Now inside the Fairy Tail guild hall, only 5 of its members can be seen casually going through their daily routine, along with Kinana, who was humming a sweet tune and cleaning some glasses. Though, there was also a new face inside the hall...

"COOL!!!"

"You are so cool! Uzumaki-san!"

"Please! Tell me all about your magic!"

"Seriously, Bisca-chan. Do I really have to give an interview with this...uh, weird guy?" Naruto whispered to the green-haired woman with a tick mark on his forehead as he started to get annoyed by the whole thing.

Just a few minutes ago, Naruto had been simply enjoying some delicious ramen made by Kinana-chan, as he wanted to just rest for the day. Since he had already completed quite a lot of job requests yesterday. However, his plan was completely ruined when a blonde-haired guy with sunglasses, suddenly burst through the entrance of the guild hall and started shouting 'COOL' in his every sentence. Then the weird guy, whose name was apparently, Jason according to Bisca, suddenly started to pester him for an interview. At first, he had outright rejected the request, finding it too troublesome. But he relented when Macao had advised him to accept it, as it might prove to be a good thing for his and the guild's reputation.

Though, he was so far regretting his decision.

Bisca amusedly laughed at the blonde's annoyed expression, "If you want to help Fairy Tail and your own reputation then you must give this interview, Naruto-kun." she replied and added, "Jason, might seem like a very annoying person at first. But he is someone who had always been a fan of our guild. So just give him a chance, okay?"

"She is right, Uzumaki-san!" Jason the reporter for sorcerer magazine exclaimed enthusiastically, "I'm the No.1 fan of Fairy Tail, and now, I'm also your No.1 fan!"

"Ah...thanks..." Naruto sweatdropped at the guy's antics, 'This guy is even worse than Guy-sensei and Lee...' the blonde groaned internally and sighed in resignation, deciding to just go with the interview.

"COOL!!"

"Urg...Can we just start the interview?" Naruto groaned and glared at Bisca and Kinana when he heard them giggling at his expense.

"Alright! Uzumaki-san! I have already published a couple of magazines with your face on the cover and it has made not only me but the whole people of Fiore really curious about you! So can you tell us something about yourself!?" Jason loudly asked and started to rapidly jot down on his notepad with his pen even before Naruto had answered.

"Wait...hold on," Naruto raised his hand and stopped the enthusiastic reporter, "What do you mean by you publishing magazines with my face on the cover?" he inquired in confusion, and by the looks on his friend's faces, he was sure that they were just as confused as him.

"You don't know?" Jason asked and after getting a nod from the blonde, he exclaimed, "COOL! You see, after seeing your COOL performance in the Grand Magic Games the public had been sending the Sorcerer magazine office numerous letters requesting to know more about you. However, since we didn't have much information about you, we decided to just use some of your pictures that we had taken during the Games as the cover. While promising the public to add further information about you after having an interview with you. As it will garner more attention in our magazines from the public!"

"Hmm...Doesn't that mean that I should be getting some payment from your company for using my face for the cover?" Naruto accused the reporter, though he had to admit that their plan was quite devious.

"Don't worry about the payment, Uzumaki-san!" Jason grinned not at all troubled by the accusation, "I have also been tasked by my chief to discuss about your payment with you during my visit here."

"That's good to hear." Naruto said and curiously asked, "By the way, do you have any of the magazines with you?"

"Yes! Yes! I do have all of them! I brought them with me as I wanted to get your autograph on them!"

"Ah...That's...great," Naruto sweatdropped a bit unsure by the guy's response, and asked, "Can I take a look at them?"

Jason's eyes lit up, "COOL!!" he then rummaged through his bag and pull out four magazines, "Here!" he exclaimed and handed them to his newest 'Idol'.

"Thank you." Naruto thanked the man and examined the cover of the four magazines, as the other occupants of the room also excitedly surrounded him in excitement and interest to look at it.

"Wow... these are really great pictures," Bisca said, looking through the four covers of their guild's ace.

"You are right, Naruto-kun looks really cool in these pictures." Kinana agreed with the gun mage.

"Oui!" Nab also agreed with his fellow guild mates, amazed by the quality of the pictures.

"No wonder the public has been curious about the brat," Macao said taking a drag from his cigarette while appreciating the covers of the magazines "All of these pictures seemed to be taken when he was in the middle of using his magic."

Naruto had a deep blush on his face as he heard the compliments from his friends regarding the pictures and even though, he hates to admit it, the pictures of him that were used for the covers were darn COOL! Heck, one of the pictures was even taken when he was using the Hiraishin jutsu to teleport above Jura to use the Ultra Big Ball Rasengan as he could see an orange glow behind him.

"These are cool! right?" Jason excitedly asked the group, getting nods of agreement from them.

"Indeed, these are quite...uh, cool," Naruto replied and he had to cringe a little when Jason cried out "COOL!" in excitement.

"By the way, what do you think about the COOL alias that I gave you!?" Jason asked and opened up one of the magazines and showed it to Naruto.

"Fairy Tail Orange Flash..." Naruto read the words that were written on the front page of the magazine and let out a chuckle in amusement, finding it quite amusing, yet ironic at the same time. 'Maybe I judged this guy too soon...he is nowhere worse than Guy-sensei and Lee.' he thought amusedly.

"I really like it," Naruto chuckled and replied making the reporter's eyes light up in excitement.

"COOL!!! I'm so ha..." Jason halted his excitement when the front door of the guild hall suddenly opened and the whole group noticed the figures that were standing at the door.

"Naruto Uzumaki, you have been summoned by the esteemed Magic Council to answer some questions." A weird humanoid frog wearing a robe announced while standing in front of three ruine guards, who were armed from head to toe with armor.

(Line Break)

Magic Council headquarters, Era.

Even though Naruto wanted to stay far away from the Magic Council as much as possible, due to him, not being from this world and all. He knew that it was inevitable that he would be summoned by them for questioning one of these days, even old man Yajima had told him so and the old man had even advised him about the answers that he should give the council if they asked him about his abilities and origin.

So, he didnt really put up any resistance when that pompous-looking frog from the council barged into his guild and informed him about his summoning. Not like he could have opposed the order or anything, since it would have caused unnecessary problems for both Fairy Tail and Macao.

Hence, after traveling through a very bumpy and boring ride in a magical automobile for about 3 hours to the Magic Council headquarters in Era. He was now finally standing in front of the 'esteemed' members of the council...

'More like standing below...' Naruto snorted as he had to crane his neck upward to look at the council members from where he was standing, 'They sure have a huge ego, eh?' he amusedly thought to himself as he observe the enormous statues and the massive pillar, where the council members were standing and staring at him as if expecting him to do something.

"..."

"..."

"Ah...what?" Naruto quirked his eyebrow as he was starting to feel a bit weirded out by their gaze, "Do I have to, uh...kneel or something?" he asked curiously, not at all accustomed to such pompous settings.

"..."

"Sigh...brats these days have no respect." Gran Doma sighed and decided to just get on with the whole thing, "No you don't have to Uzumaki. Though, why don't you be a bit more respectful and at least introduce yourself to the esteemed council?"

"Ah...sure. " Naruto nodded sheepishly and introduced himself, "I'm Naruto Uzumaki, an S-class mage of Fairy Tail and I'm currently 20 years old. Um...uh, Nice to meet you all, I guess."

Gran Doma sighed again at the blonde's attitude and glared at some of the other members when he heard them start to bicker. He then straightened his back and looked at the blonde, "Do you know why we summoned you here today?" he questioned with an authoritative tone.

"I assume you have some questions that you wanted to ask me?" Naruto responded getting a nod from the chairman and some of the members.

"That's right, and you better answer those questions would true honesty. Otherwise, we are going to take strict action against you. Not only that, your answers are going to determine your future as well." Gran Doma stated and narrowed his eyes at the blonde.

Naruto sweated nervously at the hidden threat, 'Did they find out about me not being from this world?' he grimly thought but quickly shoved that thought away finding it too implausible. If they had known about his origin then they would have sent a whole platoon of ruine knights to summon him, instead of just three.

'...or is it because of what happened four days ago?' Naruto reasoned with himself and concurred that it could have been because of it that he was summoned for questioning. So he stared directly at the Chairman with a defiant look and inquired, "Do the questions have to do anything with, uh...me threatening the Sabertooth Guild master?"

"What!?"

Gran Doma and all the other council members looked flabbergasted by Naruto's admission and stared at the blonde in disbelief. While Org let out a groan in disappointment.

"Uh...Judging by the expression on your faces...it seems that wasn't the case." Naruto sheepishly chuckled and cursed himself for his mistake.

Gran Doma composed himself while gesturing to the other members to quiet down and spoke, "We are not questioning you for your 'threat' against the Sabertooth guild master. Though now that you had admitted it, we would like to know more about that later..."

"Damn it!" Naruto cursed loudly earning quite a bit of a chuckle from the easygoing members of the council as the Chairman continued with his words.

"...We actually summoned you here, because we have some questions regarding your magic and your whereabouts before you joined Fairy Tail."

Naruto breathe out a sigh of relief 'Well, I can easily answer those questions.' he thought and nodded in understanding to the Chairman "So, what would you like to know about my magic?" he asked.

"First of all, how many forms of magic do you know?" Gran Doma questioned the blonde as he looked through the file containing the information about said blonde, "From your file that your guild master had submitted to us for your S-class promotion request. It is written here that you can use: Wind, Fire, and Earth magic, as well as Rune magic, Clone magic, body enhancement magic, Requip magic, and a mysterious form of magic called Chakra magic. However, during the Grand Magic Games, you used some other magics which were not added to your file, like Lightning magic and some form of teleportation magic as well." He then looked at the blonde in question and said, "So, why don't you enlighten us about this matter as well as about your 'Chakra magic'? Since we have never heard of anyone using nor being any type of magic of this kind."

Naruto mulled over the question for a second as the whole council stared at him expectantly and muttered, "Well...this is going to take a while."

(Line Break)

7 minutes later.

"So...you are saying that...this, 'Chakra' magic of yours was created by your Godfather, and he taught you?" Gran Doma asked getting a nod from the blonde, "Where is he now then?"

"He sadly passed away a few years ago," Naruto replied with a sad look on his face as he remembered his perverted godfather.

"Oh...I'm sorry to hear that and I apologize for asking that." Gran Doma said and quickly tried to change the subject, "This Chakra magic of yours is the reason you know so many forms of other magic then?"

Naruto nodded and answered, "Yes, you are correct. Using this magic I can summon clones to help me in my training and whatever they learn all come back to me when they dispersed."

"That's quite a powerful magic," One of the members muttered with a greedy look on his face and asked curiously, "Is there any way that you can teach this to other people?"

"I'm afraid, I cannot teach this to anyone. Not because I don't want to or anything but because I don't know how to even teach it." Naruto told the councilman, which was kind of the truth. Since no one in this world had chakra networks there was no way that they would be able to learn any jutsu.

"Is it true that Yajima-dono also trained you while you were working in his restaurant?" Gran Doma inquired.

"Yes, during my time working in his restaurant the old man did teach me some rune magic," Naruto answered, "...and before you ask, yes, my teleportation magic is a form of rune magic. Which I developed with the help of the old man."

The council members looked astonished at his claim.

"That's quite a remarkable achievement for someone so young, " Org complemented the blonde, who gave a bashful expression in embarrassment.

"This brings me to our next question regarding you," Grand Doma spoke and narrowed his eyes, prompting the blonde to look at the chairman nervously, "Where did you live before getting hired by Yajima-dono to work in his restaurant? As we couldn't find any information regarding your birthplace or about your parents anywhere."

Naruto scratched the back of his head, feeling quite uncomfortable by the tense atmosphere in the large hall. He wasn't afraid or anything. He was just cautious since any wrong move or wrong answer could make his stay in this world too troublesome.

"Well... I don't remember much about my parents or my birthplace as they died when I was just a baby and I was taken care of by my Godfather, who liked to travel a lot." Naruto told the council and added, "As far as I know, I was moving from one town to the other with my Godfather for 17 years and after he died, I did some odd jobs to earn money for about a year, when old man Yajima hired me to work in his restaurant because of my clone magic. After working there for about a year, I decided to join Fairy Tail as per the Old man's request. That's it."

The whole council stared at the blonde, mulling over what he had just said, and after a long uncomfortable silence, the Chairman finally spoke, "Hmm...While I don't think that you are telling the whole truth, I'll let it slide for now as we now know a bit more about you and your actions so far, haven't given us any reason to suspect you for any misdeeds. So let us move on to the next matter, which was the main reason for your summoning here."

"Eh...? There is more?" Naruto groaned in irritation, while he was grateful that the council had bought his excuse, it was now becoming quite troublesome with all the questioning.

"Yes, there's more..." Gran Doma stated with a tick mark on his forehead as he noticed the look on the blonde's face, "Act a bit more respectfully in our presence, brat!" he scolded the blonde, which he had been meaning to do from the very beginning of the meeting.

Naruto let out a sigh, "Alright, my bad. I'll try my best. So can we just move on to the next topic then?"

The Chairman growled at the flippant attitude of the blonde but decided to ignore it...for now. Since he also wanted to get over this thing as fast as possible.

"After much deliberation and after knowing much more about you during your questioning, the Council has decided to bestow upon you a position in the Wizard Saint ranks. As your strength and your achievements during the Grand Magic Games have shown us that, despite your age, you are a formidable mage worthy of the rank." Gran Doma declared with authority as the other members nodded in agreement.

"What...?" Naruto stared at the council with wide eyes, completely in disbelief at the surreal turn of events "Are you guys joking with me or something?"

"Does it look like we have time to joke around with you, brat?" Gran Doma glared at the blonde.

"We aren't joking, young man," Org told the blonde with a small smile on his face, "We have indeed decided to grant you the Wizard Saint rank. Though, it is up to you if you want to accept it or not."

'What the hell!?' Naruto yelled in his mind as he found his current situation too unbelievable 'Wait...is this the surprise that the old man was talking about?' his eyebrow twitched as he remembered the conversation that he had with Yajima four days ago when they were celebrating in Honey bar.

Flash Back.

"Naru-chan, I'm going to send you a surprise gift in a few days. So even if I'm you don't want to accept it, please consider it as it will help you and Fairy Tail a lot. Understand?"

"Eh...What kind of surprise are you talking about, old man?" A drunken Naruto asked as he tried his best to not fall asleep.

Yajima chuckled at the blonde's drunken dilemma and said, "Don't worry about it, Naru-chan. You will understand when the time comes."

Present.

'Damn it, old man! You should have at least given me a heads-up!' Naruto swore as he now finally understood what kind of 'surprise' the old man was talking about. It wasn't hard to put two and two together, to come to the conclusion that this was the 'surprise'. Since the Wizard Saint title would indeed help Fairy Tail's reputation and would also make his life a bit easier.

"So, Naruto Uzumaki are you going to accept the position or not?" Gran Doma asked, snapping the blonde out of his thoughts.

Naruto mulled over the pros and cons of the position for a few seconds, but ultimately, let out a sigh, "All right, I...accept the position."

"That's good to hear, " Gran Doma said and added, "However, we can't just grant you the position without knowing how you would handle a job. So we are first going to evaluate your capabilities first by giving you a job."

"You should have said from the beginning, Damn it!" Naruto yelled surprising the council members with his outburst. Though, he quickly composed himself and sheepishly apologized 'I should have known that this old geezer won't make it so easy for me.' he groaned internally as the Chairman started to explain to him what his job was supposed to be.

(Line Break)

30 minutes later, Near the Outskirts of Clover Town.

After Gran Doma had finished explaining to Naruto the objective of his mission, the Chairman summoned a man named Doranbolt inside the hall, who then led the blonde out of the hall and promptly teleported both of them to the outskirts of Clover town using his teleportation magic. Much to the blonde surprise. Now both of them currently walking through the foliage of the forest to the location, where a group of Ruine Knights was waiting for them.

During the trek, Naruto had curiously asked the man about his teleportation magic but was only given a rough explanation, much to his annoyance. Though, the blonde did find Doranbolt's manner quite odd. Even though the man had a stoic expression, the blonde could tell the mage was feeling ashamed about something whenever he was looking at him. However, he didn't question it as there were much more important matters at his hands, like...his current mission.

The mission was fairly simple, well...to him at least. It was to arrest a man named Jose Porla, who according to the Council was a former Wizard Saint, losing the title after his arrest five years ago for instigating a war against Fairy Tail. However, the man had somehow escaped from prison about two months ago with the help of some of his former loyal guild members and now, he had apparently become a guild master of a newly formed Dark guild, called Phantom Vengeance.

A few weeks ago, the Magic Council had dispatched a task force of about 30 Ruine Knights to search for the Dark guild to capture Jose and his accomplices as well. They had indeed successfully found the location of the guild but hadn't yet launched an attack, because they had found that the guild had more than 70 members. While the Ruine Knights weren't afraid of the members, as most of them were just low-ranked mages, however, their master Jose Porla was a whole different thing. Even if he was a former Wizard Saint, the Council, and Lahar, the Captain of the task force knew that he was still a very powerful mage and could easily wipe out the Ruine Knights sent to capture him.

That's where Naruto came into the picture. His only objective in this mission was to take care of Jose Porla while letting the Ruine Knights handle the guild members.

'I'm going to beat him to a pulp.' Naruto grinned at the prospect of punishing the man that had dared to hurt Fairy Tail in the past.

"Naruto-san, we have reached the location," Doranbolt informed the grinning blonde with a blank expression on his face.

Naruto nodded as he noticed a small camp in the middle of the forest, where he could see approximately 30 Rune Knights, supposedly waiting for him. As both of them walked closer to the camp, Naruto noticed a blonde hair man approaching him with a stoic expression on his face.

'Do these people never smile?' Naruto grumbled as he realized that Doranbolt wasn't the only one that had a permanent stoic expression.

"It's nice to meet you, Uzumaki-san." Lahar greeted the blonde stoically and extended his hand for a handshake, to which the blonde reciprocated, "My name is Lahar, and I'm the captain of this troop."

"Nice to meet you, Captain," Naruto said and asked, "So...are you ready to kick some butts?"

"What...?"

"Uh, never mind." Naruto sighed at the confused look on the man's face and simply rephrase his earlier words, "When are we going to move with the mission?"

"Well, if you are ready then we can begin now," Lahar responded and added, "We have just been waiting for your arrival as it would be unwise for us to fight Jose Porla, without assistance from a strong mage and the council has informed me that you are a capable mage, so I will trust you to handle him."

"Don't worry about Jose, I'll handle him." Naruto said and curiously asked, "Though, I was informed that there are about 70 members in his guild, so do you guys need any assistance with them?"

"It's okay, you can just leave them to us and focus on defeating Jose," Lahar told Naruto, looking a bit offended by what the blonde had suggested "We might be less in numbers, but we can easily deal with them."

'Ah...he is the prideful type.' Naruto mused in amusement as he noticed the Captain's expression.

"So, what's the plan?"

(Line Break)

A Few minutes later.

Naruto along with all the 30 Rune Knights, along with Lahar and Doranbolt were now all standing some, 10 meters away from a large wooden building as the Rune knights slowly paced and surrounded said building.

The building, according to Lahar was the guild building of Phantom Vengeance and the place where Jose Porla was currently hiding while acting as the guild master. Naruto has to admit that it was a pretty good place to hide as the building was located in the middle of a dense forest, far away from any towns.

"Uzumaki-san, just do as we had planned, okay?" Lahar told the blonde, who just gave a grin in response.

The plan was quite simple, Lahar would declare openly from outside to the Dark guild that they were here to arrest Jose Porla when the fodder mages come outside from the building to engage the Rune Knights. Using this as a ruse, Naruto would then enter the building and fight Jose..hopefully defeating him quickly. Since the Dark guild members would lose their motivation to fight and probably surrender when they see that their guild master was defeated.

"JOSE PORLA, WE ARE HERE TO ARREST YOU FOR YOUR CRIMES AGAINST THE LAW OF THE MAGIC COUNCIL. SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE RUNNING FROM THE COUNCIL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. COME OUT OF THE BUILDING AND SURRENDER PEACEFULLY TO US. OTHERWISE, WE WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO USE FORCE TO ARREST YOU!!"

Inside the building.

"What will we do master?" A member of the guild nervously asked Jose "The whole building is surrounded by Rune Knights."

The former Wizard Saint scoffed in distaste as he saw some of the members getting quite nervous about their situation. Well, that has to be expected from weak mages.

"Reno, check how many Rune Knights are there outside." He ordered one of his most loyal members, who had been once part of his glorious guild Phantom Lord. Oh, how he despised Fairy Tail and the Council for insulting him like that and taking away everything from him. He was going to make them pay.

"There are about 30 Rune Knights and a...mage?...I think there's a mage with them as well, master." A lanky-looking man informed Jose as he looked through a small lacrima screen and then showed it to his master.

"Hmm...The Council is really insulting me by thinking that some Rune Knights and a kid would be able to arrest me. Did they forget that I was a Wizard Saint!?" Jose growled feeling insulted by the people that were sent to arrest me. He then turned his attention to the 70-plus members of his newly formed guild, most of whom were former members of Phantom Lord who had to bide their time to help him escape from prison, unlike those traitorous Juvia and Gajeel, who had joined Fairy Tail! Though, he took solace in knowing that both of them were dead along with Makarov.

'Good riddance.' He sneered at the thought of his two former mages. 'They should be thankful that they are dead as I would have killed both of them with my own hands.'

Seeing the members waiting for his orders, Jose did so with a nasty look on his face, "What are you all waiting for!? There are only 30 of them and a kid! Go outside and beat them to them!"

"YES, MASTER JOSE!" All the members roared with wicked grins on their faces and marched out of the building with various kinds of weapons in their hands. Though, one of them stayed alongside Jose inside the building.

"Do you think they will be able to beat the Rune Knights, master?" Reno asked as he watched the members marching out to fight the Rune Knights.

Jose scoffed, "Rune Knights are simply glorified fodder. They wouldn't have any difficulty defeating them. Even if they somehow lose to them, I will personally handle them."

Outside.

"Guess, it's my time to do my part," Naruto said as he watched dozens of mages rushing out from the building with various weapons and charging at the Rune Knights.

"Good luck, Uzumaki-san. You are going to need it." Lahar grunted and prepared himself to engage the mages.

"Good luck to you too, Captain." Naruto chuckled while giving a mock salute to the stoic man and used his body flicker jutsu to enter the building through the door, which was open now. Which went unnoticed by any of the mages outside as they were too busy attacking the Rune Knights.

Inside the Building.

Naruto appeared inside the building in a swirl of leaves and grinned in satisfaction as he noticed the two occupants that were inside the building, looking at him in surprise and wariness.

"Yo." Naruto cheerfully greeted the two.

"You are the kid that came with the Rune Knights aren't you?" Jose asked and became at ease as he recognized the person that had suddenly appeared inside the hall.

"Yup." Naruto nodded and thought giddily, 'It seems that they don't recognize me. This will be easy then.'

"Then, what are you doing in here then? Shouldn't you be helping them fend off my mages?" Jose asked mockingly.

"Nah, they can take care of themselves." Naruto shrugged in response and smirked at the former Wizard Saint, "Not to mention, my mission objective doesn't really involve beating down your mages. My main objective here is to defeat you, so you better prepare yourself, mustache geezer

"You really think you can defeat me brat!?" Jose laughed mocking the blonde, alongside Reno.

"Well, Fairy Tail mages defeated you in the past. So I'm pretty sure that I can do this time as well." Naruto grinned, enjoying the look of rage that took over the former Wizard Saint's face as the blonde showed his Fairy Tail guild mark that was on his left wrist.

"I was just going to beat you to a pulp, brat. But now... I'm going to kill you for being part of that accursed guild!"Jose growled furiously as he started to pour out his magic.

"Master, let me handle the kid," Reno requested the raging man and smirked, "It had been quite a while since I have fought someone and I think this kid will be a good punching bag for me."

Jose thought about the request for a few seconds and nodded, "Just don't kill that, brat. As I want to kill him with my own hands."

"Don't worry, master." Reno grinned and turned to Naruto, who had a carefree loom on his face, and declared confidently "Prepare yourself brat because you are going to wish that you were dead when I'm done with you."

Naruto snorted finding the threat quite amusing, "Better man has tried to beat me and failed, you lanky bastard."

"We will see, kid." Reno grinned wickedly and extended his right hand as a green magic circle appeared in front of him.

"Acid..." Reno wasn't able to complete his spell as his world exploded in pain and he found himself crashing into the building wall, courtesy of a sucker punch thrown by Naruto, who suddenly close the distance between them using the body-flicker jutsu before he could even blink.

"You should just sleep, you lanky bastard." Naruto taunted the unconscious man and turned to Jose who was glaring at him furiously, "Now it's your turn, mustache geezer." He grinned enjoying the look on the man's face.

2 minutes later.

Outside the building, the battle between the Rune Knights and the mages of Phantom Vengence was still going quite heavily. Though, even despite being outnumbered by the mages, the Rune Knights were still managing to push back the mages. So far only one of the knights has been taken out of the battle, while about ten of the mages laid defeated on the ground.

Suddenly, the battle halted as someone burst through one of the walls of the building, and all of their eyes widened in disbelief, as they saw who it was.

'It seems I underestimate this brat. Curse you Makarov...even after your death, your puny guild is still blessed with good mages.' Jose gritted his teeth, as he wiped the blood from his lips and slowly pushed himself up while glaring at Naruto, who slowly walked out from the massive hole that was made in the building wall due to the force of the punch that the former Wizard Saint had just received.

"Are you going to surrender now, mustache geezer?" Naruto teased the furious man. Unlike his opponent, who was sporting numerous bruises on his face, the blonde didn't even have a scratch on him.

"How dare you look down on me, brat!? I'm going to kill you!" Jose angrily glared at the blonde and then picked up a sword that was laying on the ground beside him. He then channeled his Shade magic on the sword, which gave it a dark purple hue, and extended both its size and length.

Jose then charged at the blonde with a wild look on his face, while holding the sword with both of his hands in a piercing stance.

Seeing the former Wizard Saint recklessly charging at him, fully planning to Peirce him, Naruto just let out a sigh and waited for the man to come closer to him.

Jose let out a wicked grin in anticipation and extended his reach as his sword was now just a few inches away from piercing through the blonde head, who hadn't even moved an inch from his spot.

"DIE YOU, FAIRY SCUM!!"

Just as the sword was about to pierce through his head, Naruto suddenly disappeared from his spot and teleported above Jose, utilizing the Hiraishin marker that he had placed on the former Wizard Saint's shoulder. Naruto then quickly formed a Rasengan on his right hand and slammed it on Jose's back, who let out a loud scream in pain as he was painfully drilled to the ground by the force of the technique. The force also created a sizable crater on the ground.

All of this happened in just 2 seconds, much to the shock and disbelief of the onlookers.

Naruto huffed and dusted off the dust from his jacket and hair as he stared at the unconscious form of Jose, who now had a deep red gash on his back due to the blonde's Rasengan.

"You should have just surrendered when I gave you the chance, you mustache geezer," Naruto grumbled looking at the condition of the man. Though, the blonde was honestly quite glad that being holed up in prison for years had made the former Wizard Saint's skills quite rusty. Which was proven by the fact that Jose wasn't even able to react or blocked some hits, which the blonde was sure that even some A-ranked mages won't have much trouble dealing with.

Naruto then turned his attention from the unconscious Jose to the crowd that was looking at him in shock, "Are you guys going to continue fighting or not?" he glared at the shocked mages of Phantom Vengeance, who nervously admitted defeat and dropped their weapons as there was no way that they would be able to come victorious from this battle since their master had been defeated so soon.

"Thought so." Naruto grinned.

Fairy Tail. Macao's Office.

"Are you sure about this Macao?" Wakaba asked his friend a bit uncertain about what he had just heard "Don't you think it's too soon for that?"

"I know, Wakaba. Hence, I'll bring up the topic with him after a few months." Macao responded and reassured his friend.

Though, their discussion was abruptly disrupted when Jet burst through the office door.

"Master!"

"Jet! How many times have I told you guys to knock before you enter!? Macao screamed indignantly and glared at the speed mage.

"Sorry, master. But I just wanted to inform you two that Naruto is back from the Magic Council." Jet informed the two with an excited look on his face.

"He is back!?" Macao asked in surprise. Honestly, he was getting quite worried about Naruto as it had been more than 7 hours since the blonde had been taken to the council headquarters.

"Yes!" Jet nodded and added, "...and he has called everyone to the hall as he wanted to show us all something cool!"

"Something cool?" Wakaba curiously asked getting another nod from the speed mage as the three of them walked out of the office to the guild hall. Where they saw every member of the guild was present and asking the blonde about his time in the Magic Council.

"Naruto!"

"You're back!"

"We were so worried when we heard that you were taken to the Council!"

"Did those rotten Councils hurt you!?"

"How did it go!"

"What do you want to show us anyways!?"

"Brat, it's good to see that you are back." Macao smiled and walked toward the blonde, "..and what's that cool thing that you wanted to show us?"

"Now that all of you are here, I will show you all that cool 'thing'!" Naruto grinned as his friends looked at him excitedly and lifted the necklace that he was wearing, "Look what I got, ya'll!"

Macao gasped, "That….that can't be!"

Wakaba dropped his cigar, "I haven't seen one like that in 5 years!"

Everyone else in the guild hall was confused, when Romeo stood up, "What is it?"

"That's a Ten Wizard Saints necklace!" pointed out Macao.

Everyone in the room gasped, then it exploded into cheers.

"That's so cool!"

"This is amazing!!"

"Naruto...Which rank were you given?" Macao excitedly asked the blonde through the loud cheers of the guild.

"9th..." The blonde pouted and looked a bit miffed, "Those geezers had the nerve to tell me that I wasn't strong enough to be given any rank higher than that. How rude!"

Macao laughed at Naruto's complaint and joyously shouted "Free drinks! Let's celebrate! We Fairy Tail now have a Ten Wizard Saint!"

"YEAH!!!"

4th March, X790

Ecruteak town

"Excuse me, old man. Ah, Have you ever seen these two around here?"

"Hmm...I'm afraid, I don't recall ever seeing them around here, young man."

"Oh.Thank you."

Naruto sighed in annoyance as he walked out of the shop and glared at the two wanted posters that he was currently holding, "When I find you two, I'm going to make sure to beat you guys up for being so troublesome!" he cursed at the posters.

It has been almost 4 months since he was granted the Wizard Saints rank by the Magic Council and to say that the blonde was getting annoyed by the responsibilities that came with the position, would be an understatement.

While he greatly appreciated the extra mission that the Council gave him from time to time. Since those missions also came with a very hefty reward. However, he was thoroughly annoyed by the current mission that the Council had given him, which was to find the two people, whose pictures were on the wanted poster.

However, even after using dozens of clones to find these two, the blonde hadn't found any lead or success yet.

'I have wasted a whole week on this goddamn mission!' Naruto groaned in annoyance and walk inside another shop, opening the glass door. Though, he already knew that the chances of him finding any information regarding them were quite bleak if his success rate in this town was any indication, so far.

"Yo, old man. By any chance, have you seen these two around here?" Naruto asked boredly, showing the two posters to the shopkeeper. He was now really starting to hate that question as he had been repeating the same question for about a week.

"Hmm...Yes, I have seen them."

"Oh. Thank you." Naruto muttered boredly and started to walk to the door, however, he suddenly stopped in his track and looked at the shopkeeper in shock.

"Am I just hearing things or did you just say that you have seen these two people in the poster!?" Naruto asked the man with a wide-eyed expression on his face.

"You are not hearing things, young man. I have indeed seen those two before." The man chuckled amusedly at the blonde's shocked expression and added "Though, I haven't seen them around this town. If I'm not wrong, I have seen them three days ago in Visivious town, when I went there to get some supplies for my shop."

"Visivious town is the town next to this one, right?" Naruto curiously asked the man getting a nod in response, "Do you remember what they were doing there? or looked like they were doing there?"

"I don't remember much, but I do remember that there was a pink-haired girl with them as well and they were asking the townsfolk for information about some Dark Guilds." The man told the blonde.

'They were probably looking to take down another Dark guild.' Naruto mused at the information and gratefully thanked the kind shopkeeper, "Thank you, old man. You don't know how much you have helped me with this information. If you need any help, just sent a job request to Fairy Tail and I'll do it for free for you!"

After unknowingly weirding out the man, Naruto grinned and walked to the door, as he now knew where his next location was going to be. Though, he quirked his eyebrow in confusion when he noticed a figure dash away from the door through the glass. He then quickly opened the door and narrowed his eyes when he saw a hooded figure hastily running inside a narrow alley.

(Line Break)

On a dusty road, three hooded figures can be hastily walking with a sense of urgency in their every step.

"Are of sure that it was Naruto Uzumaki?" One of the hooded figures asked the shortest of the three with a nervous tint in his voice.

"Yes, I'm sure that it was him. What worries me is that he was asking the shopkeeper about you two." The shortest one replied in concern and asked, "Why is he even asking about you two!?"

"He was probably sent by the Council to arrest us." The other figure stated worriedly.

"It doesn't matter, what his reasons are. We need to avoid him as much as possible since fighting him would endanger us getting arrested..." One of them advised getting a nod of agreement from the other two, "...and we can't afford to get arrested now, not after, what we had found three days ago."

After that, they continued their hasty retreat through the silent road. Though, they suddenly halted when they saw someone leaning against a tree that was on the side of the road and lazily spinning a weirdly shaped dagger in his index finger...and by the looks of it, he was waiting for them.

The three hodded became alarmed when they finally realized who the person was.

"You guys are surely a troublesome bunch." Naruto grimaced at the three hodded figures and glared, "Have you ever thought of just staying in one place, huh? Jellal, Ultear?"

A/N: As I said at the beginning of the chapter, my exam is on 18 November, so I won't be able to update for about a month. I apologize for that. Though, I'll try my best to see what I can do when I get some free time.

Anyways, Some of you might be quite upset at the way I portrayed Naruto against Jiemma as I also kinda agree that it is quite a bit out of character for him. But I can't just let him beat the guy, Ya know. so this was the only other option that I could think of.

Next, Jose vs Naruto. I don't really like Jose, so I didn't really bother writing a fight scene.

I'm sorry if you guys feel that this chapter didn't have much interaction with Yukino. Though, don't worry she is going to have in in the next chapter.

In the next chapter, we will finally mention the Tenrou Group return!

Though, It is going to take a while for me to update it. Sorry.
