"Miss Bennet…"

"No, Mr Collins."

"Pardon?"

"My answer is no."

"Aahhh… did I ask you a question?"

"Yes, you did."

"I cannot seem to remember my question. Pray tell me what it was."

"You came here to ask if there will be boiled potatoes for dinner. And the answer is no. We already had boiled potatoes last night so we could do with a change in the menu. Mama asked Cook to make mashed potatoes for tonight's meal. Cook makes excellent mashed potatoes. She hopes this will satisfy your sophisticated palate."

"Marvellous! I thank you, Miss Bennet. Good day."
