It started 4 years ago. The rebellion came and the U.S. split into a desperate civil war. Me? I'm a pilot. A rookie. Today is my first mission. I'm nervous. All these great pilots go to a tough mission and never return. I don't want that fate. We'll its time. I board my RAPTOR, and check the controls. Everything seems perfect, I think to my self.. "I hope it stays that way." I mumbled. After the controller gave us confirmation we took off. My wingman and I shot off into the distance, orange flames flying from our tails. "It's a rush," I said to Josh (my wingman) as we neared the battle site. "So what are we up against?" asked Josh." Only a couple of AA guns and maybe a F-4 or two, not like any Reds," I replied confidently. Inside my insides were ready two take bullets; I was really tense. I started to think of my home in New York, and that calmed me down.

We entered the AOE (Area of Engagement) and split into Delta Formation. I dodged I few AA pellets from down below, and took out a recon tower with my guns. " So far so good" I said. We continued the routine, dodge this, and shoot that. Soon all the targets were decimated. I was glad. We rose up to 40000 feet and cruised in the direct of our carrier. The U.S.S Washinton was its name. Suddenly and stealth fighter appeared right behind us. "What the," I yelled. Suddenly the craft shot a missile right at Josh. It connected. "Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!" I screamed. His remains and the smoldering plane fell to the ground like an injured bird. I continued screaming. Then the lock warning appeared on my screen. "aww crap!" I said. I jerk the controls and soon I was flying away at top speed, fearing for my life. It was of no use. He was gaining on me. Suddenly I reared back on the controls and the other plane shot ahead of me. I then shot two missiles at him with bloody anger. My heart was on fire. I was in a trance. "KILL, KILL, KILL," was all I thought. One of the missiles connected. He broke off on his run and retreated. I then saw some thing familiar. On the side number 13 was emblazoned in red. "A red." I thought. When I got back to the carrier, I didn't accept another mission. Little did I know.

Commander Russell brought me into his office. "we have another mission...."
