Two years have passed since the separation of the Straw Hat crew in Sabaody. While not knowing where her friends had gone, Robin knew that they had also used the past two years to get stronger, just like their captain had asked of them, with his message of ringing the Ox Bell as well as the tattoo on his left arm 3D2Y. She smiled as she remembered how clever it was that only someone like Luffy would send a message in such a manner. She would never forget that day, when she did something she never thought she would do. She promised to get stronger for someone else. Not to protect only herself, but her friends and her captain as well. She smiled as she looked down at her left hand. A ring glistens in the sunlight as she remembered the person who gave it to her, just a day before the crew was separated on that faithful day.

(Two years ago)

Robin had been on night watch tonight. She didn't mind doing it, it was a chance to do some reading and relax making sure the Thousand Sunny and her crew were safe. She had been reading when she heard footsteps approaching from behind. She closed her book, marking the place she stopped at and turned around. She saw her captain, Monkey D. Luffy walking towards her with the smile, he has come to be famous for. He sits down on the seat next to her She noticed he had a hot cup in his hand, no doubt coffee for her to stay awake. He hands her the cup of warm coffee.

"I figured you'd want to warm up. Don't worry, I made it just how you like it!" She took a sip and smiled; it was just like how she liked it. She leaned her head up and put a chaste kiss on his lips.

"Thank you Luffy, its delicious." He smiled and felt a sense of pride of having made a good cup of coffee. While the other Straw Hats didn't know, Robin and Luffy had been together for a while. After Skypeia, Luffy and Robin had started a relationship but in secret. It was further made stronger after the events of Enies Lobby, where Luffy would even go against the World Government for the woman he loved. She rested her head on Luffy's shoulder and enjoyed his company.

"Hey Robin, I wanted to ask you something" Luffy said to the raven-haired woman.

"Oh, what is it Luffy?" she asked enjoying her time with her lover.

"When I finally achieve my dream of King of the Pirates, will you become my Queen?" Luffy said as he kept looking ahead. Robin was a bit surprised. She hadn't thought Luffy would know what marriage was, considering she taught him the ins and outs of how relationships work.

"What do you mean Luffy?"

"I mean, will you marry me?" he asked anxiously. Robin had never seen this side of her captain before. He was always confident and full of life. She knew that it was serious for him to have that tone of voice. She grabbed his hand and squeezed it. That brought him out of his trance as he turned to face her.

"Of course, Luffy, I would be happy to be your Queen" she smiled. Luffy also got a grin on his face and pulled her in for a kiss. It was a passionate one, one that would express the love the captain and archeologist had for one another. Once they pulled away, she saw Luffy put his hands in his pocket. Robin tilted her head as she wondered what he was looking for. He smiled when he got what he was looking for and fished it out. Robin couldn't believe her eyes; it was a wrong. A ring with a diamond that was shining in the moonlight. "Luffy, where did you get that?"

"Oh, Lola gave it to me" he answered like it was common knowledge. "She said that there's no way she could ask a man that's already taken to marry her. She then gave me this ring and told me to go and find happiness as well." Luffy smiled remembering what the woman had told her. "I remember someone helping me in my quest in marriage. I'll repay that favor by helping you! Then she took out this ring and gave it to me." Robin was giggling at the story. She made a mental note to thank Lola if they ever run into her again.

"It's beautiful Luffy, I love it. I love you" she said

"Shishishishi not as beautiful as you Robin, I love you too!

She smiled as she remembered that night. They spent it together under the stars enjoying the company. They both decided to hide it from the crew, but both knew the promise they made that night. Now after two years, she decided to wear it on the way to reunite with the crew and her captain. She was taken out of her reminiscing when she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" Robin said. The door opened and revealed it was two people she was close with. Koala and Sabo walked into her room with forlorn expressions on their faces. "Sabo. Koala. I guess you're here to see me off?" she said. Over the two years, she was close to these two people. Koala looked up to her like an older sister and Sabo the same. She would always guide the young girl in her endeavor in trying to win over the blonde man and being her confidant in her engagement and relationship with Luffy. Sabo and her bonded over training by talking about Luffy. Her asking him about his and his brother's childhood and him asking about the adventures (more like misadventures) his brother got himself and his crew in.

"Yeah, we're gonna miss you Robin" Koala said as she walked up and hugged the woman she'd come to see as an older sister. Robin returned the hug as well. "It's gonna be quiet now that you're leaving"

"We're going to miss you, Robin." The blonde man said. Robin gave him a smile as she held the young girl in her arms. "We also wanted to let you know Dragon wants to speak to you as well."

"Well, we shouldn't keep him waiting now should we" The dark-haired woman said. Koala let go of her and laughed, remembering how upset their commander can get when kept waiting. The trio walked out as the headed as Robin picked up her backpack, which held most of her belongings. As the headed to the command room, Robin couldn't help but smile about seeing her friends and fiancée soon. As the approached the saw a man with a cloak and long spiky hair.

"Dragon sir, we brought Robin just like you asked." Koala said. The man turned around and glanced at the woman. To many, Dragon was one of the most dangerous criminals out there. To others, he was a ray of hope in a world filled with injustice. To Robin, he was one thing, he was the father of the man she loved.

"Thank you for coming Robin, I am assuming you're ready to return to Sabaody?" the man asked in his usual gruff voice. Robin nodded with a smile on her face. "Then we have prepared your ship ready to leave for Sabaody. We will have a few men accompany you along with Koala and Sabo to make sure you arrive safely." His expression changed to one of seriousness. "You must also not draw attention to yourself upon your return. While my son is certainly one, they will be looking for, they will also be looking for you. I am sure you are aware why that is?"

"Yes, they still want to use my skills of reading to Poneglyphs, to get their hands on the ancient weapons."

"That is correct, I hope to never see the day that happens." The revolutionary said with a hint of malice. "So please be careful, it would be a shame for us to lose the Light of the Revolution." The man said with a smirk. Robin playfully laughed at the epithet the Revolutionary Army had given her. "I would also appreciate it if you kept would you did here a secret from the crew, especially from my son." Robin's smile was quickly gone as she put on a face of indifference. "I know my son is your captain, but I would rather he not know about what we have planned. I promise I will explain it to him when the time is right." Robin was torn. On the one hand, she knew that what she did and learned with the Revolutionary Army was supposed to be under wraps. On the other hand, hiding what she did from her crew, especially her fiancée, didn't seem right. She promised she wouldn't keep any secrets from them, not after the way they welcomed her into their crew. However, she knew what was at risk and decided to break her vow, just this once.

"You have my word Dragon, I will not reveal this to anyone, not my crew or my captain." She said with a serious look on her face. 'Everyone please forgive me for this. Luffy, please don't hate me for hiding these things from you'.

"Well now that we have that cleared, I believe it is time for you to take off. It will take some time to reach Sabaody so you may want to leave soon." The tone of urgency in his voice was noted by the dark-haired woman.

"Of course, thank you for everything Dragon. These past two years have made me stronger, and I will forever be grateful for it." Everyone in the room smiled, knowing that they will miss their Light.

"Be safe on your travels Robin." Robin and the two others were turning to leave when Dragon's voice stopped them. "Congratulations on your engagement to my son as well Robin. I know you will make him happy." Dragon said with a smirk. Robin stopped and could feel her face heating up. Koala had a surprised look while Sabo looked shocked.

"W-W-What!? Robin, you're engaged to my little brother?" Sabo said still not believing what he had heard. His little brother, the boy who cared more about meat and adventures and becoming the King of the Pirates, was going to marry one of the smartest persons he knew next to Dragon. He looked up at the woman he considered like an older sister. 'Though now, she is going to be my older sister' Sabo thought to himself. Robin turned her head, blushing like a schoolgirl caught with her crush.

"H-How did yo-"

"I have my ways of finding out. A parent knows things about their children, even if said children believe they don't. Also, the ring on your left hand gave it away." He said as he pointed at her hand. Robin could only blush harder forgetting that she still had it on.

"Yes, you are correct. Luffy proposed to me the night before we were all separated. We have been together for some time, but I do love him. He's the one that saved my life twice and made me choose to live. I will always love him for taking me into his crew and loving me, despite my past actions." Robin said with conviction. "He is my sunlight, that cast away the gloomy clouds in my life. I am excited to meet my friends again after these two years, but I am excited to see the man I love, the future king of the pirates and my future husband." She smiled as she said the last part. Koala and Sabo both were teary eyed hearing Robin declare her love for Luffy, while Dragon had a smirk on his face.

'To think my son could make a woman like Nico Robin fall in love with him. Then again, the Old Man himself married someone too good for him as well.' Somewhere on a Marine base, Garp sneezed, cursing that either Sengoku or his brat of a son was mocking him. "I entrust my son to you Robin; I know he is in good hands."

"Yes of course sir, you have my word." Robin said as she and the two others began to walk out. As the head out of the door, Dragon couldn't help but tease Robin one last time.

"I hope the next time we meet; you'll call me Father instead" Robin walked faster trying to hide her face as her blush kept growing. Koala and Sabo could only giggle at the expense of their friend. Dragon then returned to his duties with a thought running through his head. 'Men in the Monkey family really know how to pick our partners'

A week has passed since leaving Baltigo. Robin along with a small crew consisting of Koala, Sabo, and a handful of revolutionaries were approaching the Sabaody Archipelago. During the whole trip, Koala and Sabo would tease Robin about her relationship with Luffy as well as ask her questions about them.

"Mr. Sabo, Sabaody is in sight!" someone from the crow's nest shouted.

"Good, I'll inform Robin we will arrive shortly." The blonde man then head to the dining area and saw Robin and Koala talking to each other. As he approached, he saw Koala had a blush on her face as she looked the other way. "What were you two talking about?" Sabo said quizzically. Koala seemed to turn even more red as Robin tried to stifle a giggle.

"Oh, just some girl talk is all Sabo" Robin said with a smile.

"Hey, Koala, are you ok? Your face is all red, you aren't sick are you?" the young man then removed his glove from his left hand and put it to Koala's forehead. She squeaked at the contact made and got even more red. "Huh, you aren't burning up" The young man then put his hand under his chin to think. "Maybe something you ate?"

"I'm fine Sabo, just a little warm in here, I'll step outside so if you two will excuse me." The young woman left as she ran to the deck. Robin only giggled, she couldn't believe how similar Luffy and Sabo were when it came to noticing the feelings of the opposite sex. She smiled remembering how soon she will be with her lover.

"Anyways, I wanted to talk to you about something." Sabo said having a serious expression on his face.

"Oh, what would that be Sabo?"

"I don't want to do this, but when you meet Luffy; please don't mention that I'm still alive." Sabo was trying hard to fight back tears in his eyes saying it.

"Why wouldn't you want me to tell him? He would be happy that his other brother is alive"

"Because…." Sabo clenched his fists, a single tear running down his cheek. "Because he'll hate me for not being there for him and helping him rescue Ace. He'll blame me for not helping our brother out in his time of need. He'll…" Sabo let the tears flow down freely, unable to hold back his guilt and regret. "He'll hate me for abandoning him and Ace for all these years." Robin felt her heart break for this young man. Over the two years, she had come to see him as a little brother, not only because he was the brother of her betrothed but also because she had come to like the boy and his drive to change the world. Robin stood up and pulled Sabo into a hug.

"Sabo don't blame yourself. You had amnesia from your accident. Besides, my Luffy would never hold it against you for not being there. In fact, I'm sure he'd be happy to see you again. He may have lost one brother, but knowing you are alive; he would have gained a brother he thought he lost." Robin said. The young man stopped crying and took to heart the woman's words.

"You're right, Luffy isn't the type of person to blame others. I'm pretty sure he blamed himself for Ace's death. That's just the kind of person he is.". He pulled away from Robin and gave her a small smile." Thanks, I needed that." Robin returned the smile.

"I won't tell him about you being alive, but I expect you to tell him one of these days. I don't like hiding things from my friends and my Luffy. I promised to never do that when I joined them, and I will keep this promise if you promise me that." She said with a stern tone. Sabo smiled as he nodded his head.

"You got it…Big Sis" Sabo said, with the biggest grin on his face. Robin, not expecting that, mouth was open like an 'o' as she tried to process what had happened. Sabo began to laugh, normally seeing Robin as calm and composed person. Now seeing her with a shocked look and a blush on her face was something the young man had never seen but was enjoying it to the fullest. "Thanks Robin, I'll promise you I'll tell him I'm alive soon." Robin, having forgotten her embarrassment smiled at the young man.

They got as close to the port and left Robin in Sabaody. With a final farewell to her friends, they sailed off and headed back to the Revolutionaries base in Baltigo. Robin smiled as she began to head towards the Sunny, excited to meet her friends again and the man she loves.

Having reunited with the crew, Robin was happy to see all her friends and the changes they went through. Zoro seemed to be the same with the exception of a missing eye and more muscles. Nami had matured into a beautiful young woman and had new determination in her eyes. Usopp had also gotten more muscle and seemed to be slightly less cowardly. Sanji was the same with him being more love struck by Robin and Nami's changes over the two years. Chopper had gotten even cuter as he changed his hat and seemed more confident in his medical skills. Franky had changed dramatically with many modifications to his body. Though, Robin found his mini hands to be a funny addition to his arsenal. Brook had become a superstar as the Soul King. Even she could not believe it when she first saw the poster of his last and latest concert. The person she had eyes on the most, was of course her fiancée and Captain, one Monkey D. Luffy. Robin wouldn't deny that he had changed a lot during the two years. He gained more muscle as well as seemed to get a bit taller. His outfit had changed as well but two things remained the same. His ever-present smile and the strawhat that is one of his greatest treasures. The one thing that did make Robin feel pain was the X shaped scar on his chest. No doubt the reminder of the battle of Marineford. A reminder of what he lost that day. Robin would be sure to ask him later about how he felt. For now, they had to escape the Marines that were after them. What surprised her the most was a pirate ship blocked the Marines advancement

"That flag…wait can it be?" Robin said with a surprised tone.

"Huh, you know that crew?" the navigator asked.

"They're the Kuja Pirates. An Amazonian group lead by a Warlord of the Sea" Everyone looked at her with somewhat worried expressions.

"You're joking right? They're led by someone that powerful!?" Usopp said, frightened about the possibility of fighting a Warlord.

"Nope, they're led by Boa Hancock, they say that she's the most beautiful woman in all the seas." At this some of her male crewmates began to look for her through their telescopes. Naturally, they were taken in by her beauty; with Sanji turning to stone just like the rumors say would happen.

"Huh? I thought Hancock said she wasn't going to be coming?" Luffy said, confused why the Warlord went back on her word.

"Wait, you know her Luffy?" Nami asked

"Yeah, she and I are friends after that Bear guy sent me to Amazon Lily."

"Amazon Lily! Isn't that the island where nothing but women live? If a man so much as steps foot on that island, he's as good as dead?" Usopp never believed the legends of said place, but after his time at sea; he isn't surprised, there was some truth to the legends. Everyone seemed to be surprised by this except for Robin. She didn't know why, but she felt some jealousy over the fact Luffy had spent 2 years on an island with nothing but woman, especially one inhabited by the Pirate Empress herself. Sanji then proceeded to express his anger at Luffy, claiming he wasn't training and was in heaven while he was in the depths of Hell for the past two years. He began to sulk an muttered something about a shitty rubber captain and why he couldn't be that lucky. Luffy just laughed and asked what was wrong with him.

Meanwhile, on the Kuja ship, Hancock had managed to keep the Marines at bay. 'I've bought you some time Luffy, I hope I helped in your escape.' She turned around and winked, but blew a kiss in the direction of the Thousand Sunny. Brook seemed to pass out, hearts where his eyes should be and a small nosebleed.

"Did you see that? She winked at us and blew us a kiss!" For some reason, Robin felt those weren't directed at their crew, but rather the captain of their ship. Hancock then proceeded to ask someone for a telescope, hoping to see Luffy's reaction. She saw him standing there smiling but what she also noticed was the two other woman on his ship, standing by with the others. She deduced these were Nami and Robin. While she had no problem with Nami, it was Robin that soon became the target of her malice.

'So that is the woman that has my Luffy under her spell.' The Kuja captain said. It was no surprise to anyone on Amazon Lily that their Snake Princess had fallen in love with the Straw Hat captain. However, she found out during their trip to Impel Down that Luffy was engaged to Robin and was madly in love with her. He even took on the World Government to get her back. Hancock vowed that day that she would prove she loved Luffy more than Robin ever will and become his wife and Queen of the Pirates.

"Luffy."

"Huh, what's up Rob-"The captain couldn't finish his sentence as he found himself in the embrace of the archaeologist and his lips captured by hers. This action caused most of the Straw Hats, sans Sanji who was still stone, to look at them with shocked expressions

"WWWWHHHHHAAAATTTTT!" they all exclaimed.

"THAT HARLOT! HOW DARE SHE DO THAT TO MY LUFFY!" Hancock was beyond furious. Seeing the man, she loved to be in the loving embrace of another woman made her blood boil. The kiss lasted a little while longer before both parties, reluctantly, pulled away. Luffy gave her his trademark smile while she returned it with a smile of her own. The crew was still in shock. Nami was the first to recover and managed to ask the question everyone had been wanting to ask.

"Wait, when did you two ever get together?" the navigator asked. Robin chuckled while still having Luffy in her arms.

"A little bit after Skypeia. That's how long we've been together"

"Yeah!" the young man said. "She's also my finance? My fichance?" Luffy said struggling to get the right word.

"Fiancée" Robin said

"Yeah that!" Luffy said with a smile. The crew could only once again get a shocked expression on their faces once again.

"WWWWHAAAATTTTTT!"

"You mean to tell me that you and Luffy are going to get married?" Chopper asked.

"Yes, but only after he becomes King of the Pirates"

"Yup! If I wanna marry someone, then it's when I become King of the Pirates. That way my wife will be the Queen of the Pirates, the freest woman in the world." Luffy stated this like it was a fact. Robin could only blush at her lover's declaration. Little by little, the crew came out of their shock.

"Well, as long as you can somehow reign him in when there's trouble then I'm happy for you two" the navigator said to both.

"Ha, the woman with the morbid sense of humor and the man who shines as bright as the sun. What a pair." Zoro said. Deep down he was happy for his captain. He had managed to find someone and was hoping to see how the cook would react to this whenever he came out of his stone form.

"I don't know what to say except congratulations you two." Usopp said. In the back of his mind, he was thinking of Kaya. Hoping she was ok and promising to become strong to tell her his feelings for her when he returns home, as a brave warrior of the sea.

"OW! Nico Robin and Straw Hat are together! Sounds like a SUPER couple!" the shipwright yelled while doing his signature pose. He was happy for the two, especially Robin. He knew the pain she went through growing up and seeing her happy made the cyborg happy as well.

"YOHOHOHOHO! I shall prepare some new love songs for our happy couple. Songs that will touch the heart! Alas, I don't have a heart! YOHOHOHOHO skull joke!" the musician said. He too knew what it was like to be in love, and seeing such wonderful people like his captain and crewmate filled Brook with happiness and joy.

"Well then, lets head out! Is everyone ready to head out?" Luffy shouted.

"AYE CAPTAIN!" the Straw Hats responded. Soon the Thousand Sunny was leaving Saboady, heading to new adventures that awaited them.

Later, that night there was partying and revelry aboard the Thousand Sunny. The Straw Hats were celebrating not only their reunion, but also the engagement of their captain and archeologist. Sanji was filled in and after threatening the captain for taking away Robin, was put in his place by Nami stating that Robin was Luffy's fiancée now. Robin and Luffy laughed at how the navigator reacted to Sanji's outburst.

"TO THE RETURN OF THE STRAW HAT PIRATES!" Luffy said as everyone raised their mugs for a toast.

"YEAH!"

Suddenly, Zoro had an idea for a way to tease his captain and his lover.

"TO THE FUTURE KING AND QUEEN OF THE PIRATES!" Zoro shouted causing Robin and Luffy to blush.

"TO THE KING AND HIS QUEEN!" the Straw Hats shouted. Robin and Luffy looked at each other and laughed. They soon shared a kiss as the crew hollered and whistled at the affection shown by the couple.

Robin had waited two years to see her crew. Her friends. Her family. Now as she laid her head on the shoulder of her captain, she has a smile on her face. Finally, home after two years. In the presence of her friends and of the man she loves
