Author: Hello everyone. This is a story I've been wanting to work on for a while. I've always been a huge fan of the Pokémon anime and I've always thought they could've done some things better. Like make Ash good in the Indigo League season and make him win the Kalos League (Me and Jerry are still pissed about that) and make him smarter. I know that I'm still doing Pokémon Destinies, but I just couldn't wait. I'll update Pokémon Destinies every Saturday and Ash's Ultimate Journey (Kanto) every Tuesday. So, let's dive in.

Author:(Holds Jerry by his collar) Here is a list of main characters in the story.
Chapter 1: I choose you!
Ash Ketchum: A brave and kind Pokémon trainer working to become the greatest Pokémon Master of all time. He travels with his friends Brock and Misty in order to be the very best.
Misty Waterflower: A water type lover who wants to prove to her sisters that she is an able water type trainer by taking over the Cerulean Gym.
Brock Harrison: A smart and talented Pokémon Breeder on his way to become a Pokémon Doctor. That doesn't stop him from flirting with every pretty girl in sight.
Team Rocket: An evil organization bent on using Pokémon to fulfill their own evil purposes.
Jessie, James and Meowth: Some annoying yet hilarious team rocket members that are obsessed with catching Ash's Pikachu.
Gary Oak: A talented Pokémon Trainer and one of Ash's best friends. His goal is to be the champion of Kanto.
Delia Ketchum: Ash's overprotective and sweet mother who loves to remind him to change his underwear.
Red Ketchum: Ash's father and the Champion of Kanto. He helps train Ash's Pokémon at the lab and has a special surprise he passed down to Ash and
Alice Ketchum: Ash's twin sister who loves to battle as well. She travels separately with her trusted Pokémon partner Growlithe.
In Pallet Town, Kanto
A raven-haired boy is currently watching a battle between two trainers on television. This is Ash Ketchum, a 9-year-old about to start his journey.
"Yeah! Go! Go! Go!", Ash said shouting at the television. "Keep it down in there Ash! I am trying to sleep and get rest for my journey tomorrow. Something you should be doing! "said Alice from the other room.
"Sorry Ally! "Ash called back. He was excited for his journey. His father had taught him about the Pokémon that habit Kanto, evolution, mega evolution, and more. Alice sighed, she was just as enthusiastic as Ash, but she wanted to get up early to get ready.
"The green trainer returns Nidorino! He sends out the menacing Onix! The red trainer-
The television was interrupted by Ash's mom holding a Voltorb clock in her hand.
"It's time for bed mister. You have to get up early for your journey. "Delia said sternly.
"Told ya! "Yelled Alice from her bedroom.
"Alright mom I'll go to bed." Ash said reluctantly. He put on his pajamas and went to sleep, excited for his journey tomorrow.
The next day….
Ash woke up at 8:00 and quickly put on his travel wear and rushed downstairs for breakfast. He knew Professor Oak gives out his Pokémon at 8:30 and it was a five-minute walk. He found Alice calmly eating a bowl of cereal at the table.
"Ash calm down you still have about 20 minutes." Alice said rolling her eyes. Ash calmed down and joined his sister, He was just really excited. After about 20 minutes, Ash and Alice headed out to the lab.
At Professor Oak's Lab….
Ash, Alice, and Professor Oak were patiently waiting for Gary, the third trainer, to arrive. After about 5 minutes, there was some knocking on the door. Alice opened it to find Gary panting.
"It's about time you got here. "Alice said annoyed. "Sorry Alice I guess I overslept. "Gary laughed sheepishly.
"Alright now that we're all here, it's time for you to pick your partner Pokémon. I have 4 Pokémon here, but one is a bit feisty. "Professor Oak said while letting out four Pokémon, an orange lizard with a flame on its tail, a dinosaur frog with a bulb on its back, a blue turtle, and an electric mouse with red cheek pockets.
"These are Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Pikachu. "the Professor said." Alice, would you like to go first? "
"Yes, thank you Professor." Alice replied. She walked up and picked up Bulbasaur and hugged it.
"We're going to be best friends, aren't we?" Alice said with a smile. Bulbasaur smiled. "Bulba! "
"You can go next Gary. "Ash said. "Hey thanks Ash. "Gary said gratefully. He walked up to Squirtle and said "Wanna conquer the league with me little dude?", Gary said to the turtle Pokémon. Squirtle bumped Gary's fist in response.
"Your turn Ash. "The professor said. Ash waled up to Pikachu. "Hi there. I'm Ash and I want to be the best trainer in the world. Will you be my partner? "Ash asked the mouse Pokemon. Pikachu was going to shock him, but the trainer asked him if it wanted to be its partner. Pikachu's old trainer never did anything like that. And Pikachu saw no malicious intent in this boy's eyes. He only saw kindness and warmth. He knew that this trainer was unlike any other. Pikachu jumped onto Ash's shoulder.
"Alright. Here are your pokedexes. They are high tech encyclopedias that record data on any pokemon you may find. Here are 10 pokeballs. Good Luck!" Professor Oak said giving each trainer a pokedex and ten pokeballs. The three trainers walked out the door to tell their parents.
At the Ketchum Residence…
"Oh, my Arceus! My little kids are all grown up! "Delia exclaimed with delight while hugging them tight (Didn't mean to rhyme there sorry.) "Mom… too…. tight" the twins said simultaneously. "Good luck! "Delia waved as she left the house.
On route 1….
"Ash I'm going to route 22 to do some training. I guess this is where we part. "Alice told her brother.
"I'm going to stay here and catch a few pokemon. Good-bye. "Ash said.
Both trainers waved to each other and left.
"Well Pikachu, let's do this! "Ash told his pokemon.
With that, the duo went into the wilderness, ready for anything that was going to come their way.
