As the sun started to shine and alarm clocks started to go off, Ui wakes up, gets herself ready, and approaches her sister's room, with the intent of waking her up.

But just as Ui was about to say, "Onee-chan, wake up, it's time for school", she opened the door to find that Yui was not in bed as she expected. As such, the next thing Ui does is head to the living room, and she finds that Yui is in the kitchen getting a cake out of the oven.

Noticing her sister's presence Yui glances over at Ui.

"Oh, good morning, Ui." she said. "I thought I had slept in late, but it turns out I didn't, so I decided to spend my extra time baking this cake for you."

Ui was surprised that Yui not only woke up before her, let alone this early, as the childlike brunette usually didn't wake up until her alarm clock went off, and even then, it was likely that she'd sleep through it, but also at the fact that she managed to prepare a relatively big cake without any accidents or screw ups, considering her relatively poor cooking skills. The kitchen was very messy, but Ui didn't seem to mind.

"Okay, let me just get this out." Yui said as she was struggling to keep the plate stable.

Just as she was about to see her sister and the cake fall, Ui frantically rushes in to help Yui carry the cake over to the table, saying, "Be careful, Onee-chan. We don't want to let your baking go to waste."

As Ui puts the cake on the table and slices a piece for both her and Yui, it turns out that the cake didn't come out in a great state. It's uneven in several areas, the layers of icing are inconsistent, and the insides look way too rough to be edible.

But despite how it looked, Ui decided to take a bite, and delighted by the surprisingly great taste, she complimented her sister, saying "Mmm, this is really delicious, Onee-chan. I think it's best to save some slices for later."

This prompted Yui to beam with happiness with stars in her eyes, giggling at Ui's compliment.

The younger brunette had one thought on her mind, which she decided to tell Yui after finishing her slice of cake.

"So, what gave you the idea to make a cake this early? Any special occasion?"

In which Yui replied, "Not exactly. I just thought I'd make an appreciation gift for the person who put up with me for this long."

Ui quickly assumed that her older sister had some self doubt, and she proceeded to wrap her arms around her, saying "It's okay, Onee-chan. You haven't caused any problems for me. If anything, I have absolutely loved taking care of you."

Touched by these words, Yui started to generate a tear in her eye, which she quickly held back.

"Yes, but with everything you've done for me, I couldn't go any longer without giving you something." she said as she grabbed Ui's hands.

"And I also saw it as an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and attempt to get good at something I was previously terrible at. If it worked to benefit my own music skills, surely it can work to benefit the people I love."

Yui then kisses her younger sister on the forehead, and rushes upstairs to grab Giitah. While she was up there, Ui thought about how far Yui has come while crying happy tears.

Wow, Onee-chan has just kept growing and improving as a person since she joined the Light Music Club. Just a year ago, she would've hurt herself trying to make a small meal for herself. Now she is able to make a full blown cake. granted, she still has a ways to go, but this is just the start of her improving her craft. Although, I will kind of miss her being less dependent on me, which is definitely inevitable if this keeps up.

At school, a group of three students named Leiko, Ayako and Hayami are walking down the hallway, with Leiko mostly rambling on about her horrible literature test scores.

"Ugh, who even came up with half of these questions? They're not comprehensible in the slightest." Leiko grumbled as to not disturb the students still in class. "And to think I have to do a make-up test next week."

While Ayako scoffed in agreement at Leiko's disappointment and anger, Hayami tried to express to her, "I see that you won't get to do your favourite after school club activities for most of the week, but you kinda brought this on yourself by refusing to study beforeha-" before being interrupted by Leiko's horrifying glare.

"Not to say your feelings aren't justified, because they totally are!" Hayami uttered out of fear, in which Leiko responded with "Hmph, whatever."

The group noticed a sudden voice saying "No, how did I suddenly end up in Ui's classroom thinking it was mine?" rapidly looming towards their direction, and it was a familiar voice that Leiko could not stand.

It was none other than the goofy brained guitarist, and she accidentally bumped into Leiko as she was rushing down to her class.

"Oops, sorry, Leiko-chan. I'm in a massive rush right now, so I guess I'll see you at lunch break, hehe." Yui claimed at an incomprehensibly fast pace as she swiftly went back to heading to class as fast as she could.

All the while, Leiko's blood was starting to boil with Yui's presence, and once she left, immediately burst out in anger saying "Grr, Yui Hirasawa! That FREAK!"

This outburst shocked both Ayako and Hayami, as their friend had never discussed her hatred for the childlike brunette, despite not being even remotely hesitant to talk about anything else with them, from her future life plans to the complexities of wearing socks that don't match (don't question it). All three of them fell silent for a few moments.

"Uh, Leiko-chan, w-what was th-that all about?" Hayami stuttered.

Leiko realised how sudden and spur-of-the-moment her anger was, and took a few deep breaths before explaining the whole ordeal between her and Yui.

"I've spent a reasonable amount of time with that brown haired burden, mainly because I couldn't stop hearing about her in my classes and I was going insane not knowing what the big deal with her was. I can tell you from experience that I am not content knowing that every waking second with her is a nightmare. Overbearing, obsessive, braindead and annoying to a fault, you wouldn't believe how she can make my mood so sour in one day. Believe me, that bubbly and upbeat tone is just a charade for her sneaky little mind games."

Anger started bubbling up inside Leiko again as she looked back on the day before, where Yui invited her to her house.

Ui was not home at the time, as she had planned a night out with Azusa and Jun. Yui had constantly texted Leiko after she gave her her phone number, to the point where she had little time to prepare or bring something with her, and when she finally arrived at the Hirasawa household, she was less than pleased.

"What do you mean you can't bake a cake for me? That's what you kept bribing me with, wasn't it?"

"Sorry, Leiko-chan, I wasn't expecting the fridge to have no cake slices left. Ricchan must've ate the remaining few when I had a sleepover with her here, hehehe."

Hearing this seemingly deceptive trick from the guitarist caused an immediate outburst of fury from Leiko.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU CHECK BEFORE I GOT HERE?!" She stopped and tried to contain her anger to avoid causing any kind of drama with Yui.

"Whatever, I'm gonna go get a snack from the kitchen." Ugh, and to think I could've gotten a bag of sudachis today. They rarely ever sell those in these parts of Japan.

Leiko grabbed a bag of peanuts from the cupboard, opened it and began eating the peanuts. She was slowly but surely calming down until she noticed that the small brained senior was staring at her while she was eating. She tried desperately hard to ignore it in the hopes that Yui would get bored and go on to doing some other mindless activity, but much to her dismay, she still stood there staring menacingly.

"Don't you have anything better to do?" Leiko said in an annoyed tone. Is this what Azusa has to put up with constantly at the Light Music Club? Because if so, I feel really bad for her.

"Nope, not at all." Yui giggled in response. Before she could blow another fuse, Leiko stormed off upstairs to get a breather from the obsessive brunette and headed into Ui's room.

"I swear, I'm this close to just snapping at that stalker and leaving the house!" she groaned. "Maybe I should finish up the rest of my literature test while I'm here."

She struggled with almost every question, mainly because of her refusal to study it with Hayami beforehand, but in her eyes, anything was better than being in the presence of the older Hirasawa and she was starting to cool down emotionally. Unfortunately for her, this breather was short lived because it wasn't long until Yui barged into the room asking,

"Do you want me to get you anything, Leiko-chan? I feel like I'm being a bad host."

Leiko was unable to even splurt out an answer, she was just left in horror from Yui coming in. As the less than intellgent senior started approaching her, she accidentally stepped on a balloon, causing a loud pop.

"Oops."

Balloon pops drove the bad tempered girl up the wall more than anything, especially that loud and that close to her hearing range. This felt like her breaking point with Yui, and she nearly failed to hold back her urge to snap at her. Before things escalated, an idea that involved exploiting Yui's low IQ came to mind.

"Shouldn't you be asleep by now, so you don't end up being late for school?" she furiously grumbled.

Not aware that it was actually too early to sleep, Yui said, "Oh yeah, I do. Is it that late already? Thanks for the reminder, Leiko-chan."

She was ready to leave the room and get ready for bed, until she heard Leiko say, "One more thing before you go. If you want any chance at surviving college when you graduate, get better at baking. It'll also assure that your friends don't turn on you the moment they can."

As Yui left the room and got comfy in her bed, she contemplated on what Leiko told her. It sounded harsh, but it seemed like sound advice in her mind. It wasn't long before she dozed off, and the moment she did, Leiko finished up her literature test in a rush and left the house as soon as she could.

Cutting back to present day, Leiko vents about Yui a bit more after telling her friends the whole story.

"It's unbelievable that even after tricking her into going to bed incredibly early, she's STILL late to class." Needless to say, she was baffled.

"Wait, if Yui made you so angry that you wanted to snap at her, why didn't you?" Hayami asked.

"Despite my heavy dislike for her, it's really not worth causing a huge fuss or even hurting her feelings over. Besides, she'll never get to irritate me like that again if I keep my distance. Her goons at the Light Music Club can put up with all that crap."

This thought invoked a breath of relief from Leiko. All the while, Ayako was silently cringing at everything she just heard about the clueless senior.

"And even then, they don't have to put up with her stupidity and deceit at home, so they get daily restbite from her. Although, there is one thing I'm curious about; I found a spare bedroom in Yui's house. Wardrobe, furniture and all. I wonder who it could be for, since I didn't see anyone else there."

"Do you wanna tell her or should I?" Hayami whispered to Ayako, in which she aggressively shook her head.

"Leiko, I know exactly who that extra room was for. Yui has a sister who takes care of her. And she wasn't home that day because she planned a night out with her friends."

Leiko's intrigue increased by a large margin hearing this.

"Heh, so that explains why Yui was so irritating." she exclaimed while laughing hysterically.

"She didn't have someone older than her to keep her in check."

Hayami awkwardly laughed at Leiko's incorrect judgement.

"Here's the thing, Leiko. She's actually 1 year younger than Yui. She takes classes at this school."

And in a flash, Leiko's expression flipped from intrigue to shock and horror.

"YOUNGER?! Alright, that settles it. Yui Hirasawa is pure evil! Imagine being an insufferable and manipulative waste of space like her and then brainwashing your younger sister to take care of you! That's several levels of twisted! I can't begin to imagine how drained she feels being around that twerp 24/7! No wonder she had a night out that day!"

Leiko's anger and spite had reached a new high. The mere thought of Ui going through mental torture putting up with her older sister every day made her cringe insanely hard.

"It's settled. We need to save... Uh, what's her name, Hayami?"

"Oh, yeah, I never told you." Hayami nervously giggled. "Her name is Ui."

"Noted. We need to save Ui from the wrath of that demon that just so happens to be her sister." Leiko exclaimed with pride.

"We'll take action during lunch break. After school would be way too late."

And so the trio headed into their classes patiently waiting for the time to carry out their plan.
