It was supposed to be an ordinary field trip for 7-year old Danny Fenton at the Guys in White in Toon City, Oklahoma on March 12th, 2008.

It was just to look at what their tech was like.

Learn how they started off as the Ghostbusters of New York back in the 80's.

How they fought and capture ghosts.

But as they all say, Curiosity killed the Cat.

A ghost portal was under development at the Laboratory, and sneaking in, Danny checks out the portal, and unintentionally activates it from the inside, causing his molecular structure to become infused with ectoplasm. This caused him to become half-human and half-ghost and gain an array of ghostly superpowers.

Danny had only had his powers for a month before his first real ghost fight. He was unsure about telling his parents about the accident and was still trying to get the hang of his powers, often losing control of them at inopportune and embarrassing moments. But after his first battle against a ghost, he realized what his powers were for. Since the ghosts were a serious threat, Danny decided to take on the role of a superhero to protect his Oklahoma Town.

Danny soon met Vlad Masters, his parents' friend from college, now a billionaire bachelor. Danny found out that twenty years ago, Vlad became a half-ghost just like Danny, and now had all the same powers Danny had and more, but with twenty years more experience. Vlad soon became Danny's arch-nemesis.

At first, Danny Phantom was not a particularly well-known or well-liked ghost. His debut in the Oklahoma town was ruined when Walker, a prison warden ghost, staged a ghost invasion on the city and framed Danny Phantom for it (then known to the city as "Invis-o-Bill") and later when Freakshow took control of Danny's mind and forced him to perpetrate a series of ghostly crimes for him.

Events such as these caused the people of the Oklahoma Town to mock Danny Phantom and never took him seriously, despite his intentions to protect them. Danny's only supporters were his two friends Tucker Foley and Sam Manson and, unbeknownst to him, his sister Jazz, and his baby sister, Danielle. With that in mind, Danny knew he had to work his way back to being the hero the city needs.

But as time goes by, the war on crime goes on. Eventually, Danny's acts as a hero caught the eyes of the Kids Next Door, a government agency ran by kids who help the JLA and the Avengers. Of course, he joins as a member, alongside with Superhero kids such as Tim Drake, Terry McGunnis, Victor Stone, Logan Garfield, Rachel Roth, Violet Parr, as well as several others. Together, they helped with conflicts and crime.

Unfortunately, back home at Oklahoma, his heroic acts attracted enemies like food attracting roaches. Danny had to deal with foes like Lunch Lady, Box Ghost, Desiree, Ember, Undergrowth, Vortex, Technus, Skulker, Walker, Johnny 13, Young Blood and worst of all, Vlad Plasmius, which had resulted in many encounters between the two.

But two villains would change Danny for the better and the worst. His Ultimate Enemy, and one of his most insane threats, who started as a typical cowardly villain and grew to be one of Danny Phantom's worst threats.

For better includes getting respect from the city and saving it, defending it from psychopaths and criminals.

For worse means the cost of protecting his city may include a tragedy in the family making him stronger, but causing him to push away his loved ones.

How will this work out for him? Let's find out!
