I do not own RWBY only my OC's and the change of selected scenes that are not in the real episodes / chapters.

A Beast From Within

Volume 1 Chapter 0 - A New Life

'Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end' - Seneca.

In the outskirts of Vale, at a newly abandoned small village.

"Alright that's the last of them," Tai called out, dusting his hands, while walking away from a dead Beowolf.

"But why where there so many," Summer says. "All the survivors left here a week ago."

"Gives a new meaning to 'ghost town' don't you think," Qrow pointed out.

"Are we done here," Raven asked.

"Yeah lets head back to the bull-" Summer cut her sentenced. "Do you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Qrow questioned.

"Shh!"

Summer listened closely, it was coming from a nearly collapse building, and the noise sounds like a…

"There's a baby in there!" Summer gasped, running into the building.

"Summer!" Tai called out.

The three followed their leader, once inside of the building and they soon find Summer in front of a crib, that is completely undamaged.

"Wait, didn't most of the Grimm came out of this building when we arrived here?" Raven questioned, placing her hand on her weapon.

"Yeah they did," Tai replied. "Is the infant alright Sum?"

Summer picked up the baby, the cries slowly come to a stop.

"I don't see any blood in the cot," Summer replied. "I'll check for injuries."

She walks to the table and gently places the baby on it and starts removing the brown worn out blanket.

"Why would the Grimm not kill the kid?" Qrow wondered.

"I don't know, protect it," Tai guessed.

"Uh, guys?" Summer says.

"Don't be ridiculous, why would they do that?" Raven replied.

"Guys!"

They hurry to Summer, the baby back in her arms, their eyes widened, the baby has bright red markings on its forehead and chest just like the Grimm, suddenly they slowly die down and then disappear, not a single trace left.

"What, the hell?" Raven exclaimed.

"We need to head back to Beacon," Summer says wrapping the baby in her cloak keeping it safe and warm. "Ozpin will know what to do?"

After getting back to Beacon they headed straight to Ozpin's office, they called ahead to tell him what they had found.

"Hmm," Ozpin looks over the sleeping child now wrapped in a soft red blanket. "And you said that the child had markings like the Creatures of Grimm?"

"Yeah, clear as day," Tai says. "Then as soon as Summer held him in her arms they vanished."

"Prof Ozpin?" Goodwitch spoke.

"It would seem that this child has parts of the Creatures of Grimm within him," Ozpin says.

"A hybrid?" Raven presumed.

"In a lack of a better word, yes," Ozpin carried on. "However, the powers of the Grimm lie in dormant, for now, there is no telling what kind of abilities the child will have if it is awaken."

"So, in other words it's a time bomb," Qrow spoke.

"Way to put that thought in my head Qrow," Tai scolded.

"How is it possible that a Grimm hybrid be in a human, how can she do something like this?" Raven questioned.

"There are many things that are still unknown about her powers," Ozpin answered. "It might be possible, that this have been done in the past, beyond my knowledge, after all she is the Queen of the Grimm. Unfortunately, I will not be able to know what kind of Grimm is within the boy."

"What should we do?" Tai asked. "If there is a chance it'll be dangerous, it'll need to be monitored."

"The child is also part human," Ozpin mentioned. "I believe if brought up around humans then perhaps the powers will stay dormant and possibly fade away into nothing."

"But who will take in this monstrosity?" Goodwitch said.

"I will," Summer volunteered.

"Summer you can't be serious?!"

"The minute the child was in my arms the marks disappeared, so if he stays with humans maybe he won't become one of them," She walks towards the desk.

"I'll take full responsibility for him," she says as she picks up the infant, holding him in her arms again.

The baby wakes up, giggles as Summer smiles at him, he gets his arms out of the blanket.

"You always see the best in people Miss Rose, very well he shall be in your care. What will you name him?"

"Kiba," she says as Kiba grips one hand on to her forefinger. "Kiba Rose."

There you go, I know it short, but it is a prologue, but the next chapter will be longer.
