Okay, I got this idea three years ago or so when I was on holiday on the beach on Corfu, I was enjoying listen and looking out at the sea, then this idea popped in my head and I had to write it down, a bumblebee mermaid fanfic with the RWBY characters and after find the images from 'dlartistanon' on Tumblr a couple of days ago, and that has inspired me to give it a shot.

Love Swims Deep
Chapter 1
BRACE!
The crew ducked as a barrages of cannon balls aimed at them, hitting the ship.
"Cap!" Sun WuKong shouts other the jumping to the his captain's side. "The Melodic Cudgel has us in its sights."
"I'm aware Sun," Blake says loud back to her first-mate. "Night well fall soon; she'll hold a till we hit Kuo Kuana waters."
BRACE!
They ducked down, cannons just missing Sun and Blake by two meters, but the Cannon hit its mark making the ship to slow down.
"Sun take over," Blake exclaimed, lets go of the wheel.
Sun grabs the wheel, Blake grabs her telescope, looking at the ship on their tail, soon spots a redhead with a blower hat at the helms.
"Dammit," Blake cursed, putting away the telescope. "He's gaining speed. Ready the weapons! Prepare the cannons!"
A girl with white hair with a rapier strapped on her side, hurries up on to the helm heading towards Blake.
"It's Torchwick again isn't it?" Weiss asked.
"Yes, he just never gives up," Blake says unsheathes her katana. "Get ready Weiss."
The crew ready their weapons from blades to guns, both Faunus and human stand at the ready, Fox, Yatsu and Sage at the cannons. Coco, Velvet, Scarlet, Flynt, Neon, Ivori, Kobalt, Ilia are at positions.
The ship passes by them, seeing many of cutthroats, with red blades, and Roman Torchwick himself along with her pink n brown first-mate.
"Open fire!" Torchwick ordered.
"Fire!" Blake called out.
Cannonballs fly at one another, several of Torchwick's men swing over to 'Stardust', Blake, Wiess, Sun, Coco, velvet, Neon got into combat with them while the rest protected or helped with the cannons. Blake spots a rouge about to attack, she grabs her pistol from behind her purple sash around her waist, and fires at him, killing him. Weiss nods her head in thanks.
Unknown to them a small group, are planting Gun Powder.
Torchwick soon boarded, and started heading towards Blake.
"Good afternoon Kitty," Torchwick greeted. "We really should stop meeting like this."
"I think you need a new hobby," Blake spat.
The two fought dodging the others strike, swords clash together, the cannon hits the ship again, nearly knocking Blake off balance but enough for Torchwick to cut Blake across the abdomen, Blake attacks knocking Torchwick back.
BANG!
Blake screams, her shoulder has been deeply grazed by a bullet from Neo, Torchwick kicks Blake of her feet, hitting her back to the mass, Roman is about to cut her head off, Blake ducked in time, his sword hits the beam, getting it stuck. He tries to get it free; Blake is soon backed up from Weiss, Ilia, Coco, and Sun. In the corner of his eye he sees that the ones that planted the 'surprise' in the stardust lower quarters, he abandons her blade.
"Ladies, Gent Ice Queen."
"Hey!" Wiess spat.
"This is where we part ways."
He and what was left of his men quickly leave the ship, and just as quickly leave them, but before he is in a far distance he throws a black ball at them, it lands on the decking, rolling to a stop.
"Did we win?" Sun asked.
KABOOM!
A small part of the ship has just exploded.
"That answer your question?!" Ilia shouted.
Then the round orb, crack opens, black smoke sip out bring out white mask creatures with red markings.
"Grimm!" Velvet cried.
"We need to abandoned ship, Yatsu! Sage! Ivori! Kobalt! Get the rowboats ready! The rest destroy the Grimm." Blake gave out orders.
Due to the cannons from Torchwick most to rowboats were destroyed, luckily two made it out alright, once the boats hit the water, slowly the crew made their way to them jumping over board.
"I'll hold the rest of, GO!" Blake ordered. "Sun make sure Weiss gets back home!"
"Aye aye, cap!" Sun says as he killed the Grimm.
"What!" Weiss exclaimed. "I'm not leaving you to fight these alone."
"Sorry Ice Queen, captain orders" Sun replies as he picks her up and jumps overboard.
Blake fought the rest of the Grimm, as her crew slowly jump over board, by the time she killed the last one, night covered the sky, flames half consumed half of the ship, the burning mass break and fly down causing the ship to split in two. Blake was knocked over losing her sword, she coughs from the smoke, runs to the side of the ship while holding on her stomach however her right leg gets trap; she screams in pain as she feels her skin being stab by the wood.
She tries to get her leg free however as she tugs her leg a third time the smell of gun powder reached her noise before she could think her next move…
KABOOM! BOOM! BOOM! KABOOM!
The crew in the rowboats saw as the ship is combust into flames, Coco was holding Velvet's hand as she sees her rabbit ears fell droopy, Sun, Ilia and Weiss are the last of the rowboats following the crew, Sun carries on rowing while watching the ship sinks, same as Ilia and Weiss.
"Blake," Weiss whispered.
The row boats start rowing away from the scene.
Blake hit the water when the explosion went off; the blast stunned her moment but quickly starts to swim upwards to the surface. Another blast from above is above is set off, parts of the ship fell into to sea everything from wood to metal. Blake is trying to get to the surface quickly, she can feel her lungs starting to burn needing air, however her blood was floating around blocking her sight, she could not see an heavy object coming her way, it hits the right side of her forehead just missing her temple, she stops moving, floating back down into the endless ocean.
Her vision is slowly going black, before her eyes are fully closed forever, a flash of yellow gold quickly swims towards her. She felt warm hands cup both her cheeks and then a pair of lips on her own.
Air was put back in her lungs.
Blake felt a strong grip under both arms bringing her back to the surface, when she felt the cold sea air hit her face, she filled her lungs again, coughing out the water. With what strength she had left she tried to get a look at her savour but her mind and body shut down completely sore and weakened given into unconscious.
The savour looks down at the black haired girl with concern eyes and seeing blood coming down her forehead she looks around to see if any of the crew was still around.
Nothing only the sound of the waves, so she tightens her grip on the captain and with her golden mermaid tail she swims away heading to the closest shore as fast as she could.
So that's it, the first chapter of my first Bumblebee AU Fanfic, I just thought I see how this goes, anyway check out 'dlartistanon' on Tumblr, amazing artwork, if I did not come across it I don't think I had the inspiration to write this. I might try draw some screens from this AU and put it on my DeviantArt.
