Death Teaches All
Memories running through my head.
Memories of what he had said.
He said he only wants the best for me.
But I was just too blind to see.
He told me that war was rough.
I threw it in his face and said I was tough.
Now here I am with a sword in war.
I know that there will be blood and gore.
He was in that war with me.
He will finally make me see.
That death teaches all.
At first we were just fine.
We were just biding our time.
Then the first blow was struck.
Luckily our man was able to duck.
The fighting spirit was burning like hell.
Then I smell a sweet smell.
It's the sweet smell of blood.
The smell of blood soaking into the mud.
I receive a blow to the arm.
I always find this a charm.
In the lesson that death teaches all.
Blood was trickling from my wound.
My emotions were finally tuned.
The power of Hades was burning within.
Now I had an obsession to win.
My friend now receives a blow.
Anger was burning within my soul.
He receives a blow to the head.
I knew for sure that he was dead.
I was in pain from the loss of my friend.
I thought my life would just end.
Now I know that death teaches all.
I swore I would avenge my fallen friend.
With my sword, I will go to the end.
Fury was now filling my soul.
My life now has just one goal.
I saw the man who killed my friend behind a boulder.
I gave him a surprise blow to the shoulder.
He stood up in his fighting stance.
He didn't realize that he had one final glance.
I cut him across the throat.
Then threw his body into the moat.
His lesson was taught that death teaches all.
The war would end soon.
This new cut across my chest is putting me in doom.
I threw away my trusted sword.
I lost someone I couldn't afford.
The war is over.
There is new reign of power.
My wounds have healed and have taught.
That my heart has healed not.
His lesson has taught me well.
But the fires burn in hell.
Saying that death teaches all.
Author's note: I have no idea what was going through my head and this is probably the best poem I will ever write because of it. If you don't like that's fine. But please review and tell me so I can learn from my mistakes. Thanx.
