Author's Note: based on the eighteenth and thirty-fifth psalms. Title from the book Hind's Feet On High Places, I DO NOT OWN IT. Ahem, very much like a psalm, (Good old fire and brimstone, heh heh, much like "Speak the Truth". NO COMPROMISING or watering down.) For who is God except the Lord?

Much Afraid

My enemies gather around

The sorrows of Hell

And the snares of Death

They all seek

To drag me down

But you will not allow me

To be harmed

In the eye of the storm

When the tempest shrieks

And they cry for my blood

I am not afraid

See, My Lord

I do not bow to them

For You hear my cry

Though your heaven

Is highly exalted

Far above the stars

Your ear is inclined towards me

The mightiest of my enemies quake

And the tide of the nether world recedes

For the trumpets of the angels

Herald the coming of my God

You draw me

From beneath the waves of sin

You set me free in the open

And rescued me

For You love me

The way of the Lord is sure

He is faithful to His own

I, the lowliest of His servants

He has saved

By His grace, I do not stumble

My stride is unerring in His light

Though darkness is all around me

The light of my God is never dimmed

The God of Heaven fights for me

In my defense, He rises up

And He is girt for war

In my defense, He is never silent

And His voice is like thunder

He is the salvation and refuge

Of my soul

The Lord of Hosts

Has made my hands

To bend a bow of bronze

He has made my feet those of a hind

Swift and erring on the high places

Against me, my enemies have not a chance

They are overtaken by my God

And crushed into dust

To be shaken off my sandals

Though they cried out to their gods

None came to save them

For who is God except the Lord?

The Lord of Heaven lives!

He is thrice blessed!

And exalted is His Name!

When I cry to Him in distress

He answers

Among all the nations

I will proclaim the Name of God

And sing praises unto the Lord

To Him

Belongs my victories

Be wary then

Any who would delight in my misfortune

Who would torment me

I am not afraid

The Lord of Heaven is my rock

He is my protector

And the keeper of my life

He is the one Strength

He is the one Way

He is the one Truth

He is the one Life

He is the one Lord

I am His child

And He is my God

I love you, O Lord, my Strength

O Lord, my Rock, my fortress, my deliverer

My God, my rock of refuge

My shield, the horn of my salvation, my stronghold!

Praised be the Lord! I exclaim

And I am safe from my enemies.
