A Random Leaving Moment

Disclaimer: Unfortunately, us at AWF don't own Anthy or Utena. Don't let our name scare you too much, we just...can't handle Anthy's crazieness for long periods of time.

Summary: Movieverse. Utena leaves Anthy for her 'Calling' about a month after entering the real world. Anthy thinks a bit about Utena's feelings for her and contemplates the true meaning of love. This is a part of the origin of our account name, which is connected to another story. ^_^ We don't think it's the best but after all, it is random thought.

I feel confused. One moment, I'm surrounded by her love, and the next, I'm standing in the middle of a deserted square as a sleek black car races into the distance. I can't help but wonder what happened to make her want to leave, but I do know now that letting go is not hard as most people think. As I stare into the nothingness of this empty highway I begin to understand that she never really loved me at all, she was just seeking comfort. Strand upon strand of random thoughts intertwine and create a picture, all amounting to her, she, who had never once loved me for real.

It makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Does anyone ever really fall in love? Do people just search for what they need in a person and pretend to love them? I had seen a picture of a little girl in a folder she was carrying the other day. I asked to see the folder, and she let me hold it for a while. I found out that the little girl had died some time ago and her father wanted to make a replica of her, because he wanted someone...or something...to love. Does that prove my theory, or disprove it?

Everyone's a something, nobody's really anybody. If she had been somebody, she would have stayed until the end.

I feel confused. One moment, I'm standing here with that, the next I'm standing in the middle of a deserted square as a sleek black car races into the distance. I now know what happened, and I now know that I am indeed real. Suddenly, the square fills with people and a picture of a little girl floats along the path of the wind. I catch it and find that it is the picture from the folder.

Maybe her father really does love her.
