Mask
Six years ago, I came to you. You were in a hospital after your fight with Tao Ren. That same day, I looked at the mirror. I saw me, Kyouyama Anna. My mask was in place.
My mask chipped. It was the first time it had a crack. You were taken over by Tokagero. When I saw you were well again, my mask repaired.
The day came for you to leave for America. It cracked. My mask was cracked but it didn't fall off. It stayed cracked. I couldn't repair it until I saw you safe. I followed you to America. I found you. You were hurt but alive. Once again, it was back to its original state.
Your soul was inside Hao. Your body fell. My mask was slipping off and a half of it managed. Never had I uncovered the Kyouyama Anna inside before, even a part of her. But you made me show her. It hurt me. Since then, my mask was never perfect anymore, even when you came back.
Last year, five years after the Shaman Fight, you declared your love for me. We were married. My mask completely slid off and a lone tear escaped my eyes. A smile blossomed on my face as I told you my feelings.
Now I look in the mirror. I don't see Kyouyama Anna anymore. I saw the new me. Asakura Anna. More importantly, there was no mask. Nothing. It was just her, Asakura Anna. Nothing covered her face. Nothing was there to hide her feelings from you. The mask which had stayed on my face for so long. It was off.
