Ginny woke up that morning in an unusually cheerful mood. She had just come out of a positively wonderful dream and was happily replaying it over and over again in her head. "I'm going to tell him," she breathlessly told herself as captivating green eyes stared back at her in her mind's eye. "Today's the day." Ginny jumped out of her bed and anxiously threw on some clothes.

At about the same moment, Harry was emerging from his slumber after dreaming about a certain redhead. He sat up with a goofy grin and eagerly tore the curtains of his four poster aside so he could greet his friends. He was disappointed to find the dormitory empty. "I must've missed breakfast," he said sadly. Sighing, he found yesterday's robes piled in a heap at the foot of his bed and shrugged them on. Then Harry hurried out to see if he could catch the last minutes of the mealtime.

"Harry, wait," a voice softly called just as he reached the portrait hole. Harry turned and stared as Ginny descended the steps from the girls' dorms. The morning sun brilliantly flooded through the windows and bathed her in a warm light that gave her crimson hair a breathtaking golden glow. "Harry, I need to talk to you," she said with a solemn voice.

"I need to talk to you too!" Harry excitedly burst out, much to Ginny's surprise. "Oh Ginny! I've realized something very important this morning! After chasing Cho around for the past year, I found that I've just been wasting my time..."

Ginny felt her heart grow wings and take flight. She couldn't believe it. "Really?" she breathed.

"Really," Harry confirmed. He placed a hand on her shoulder and Ginny nearly melted into the stone floor. "I discovered that Cho wasn't the right person for me. It turns out, the right person was in front of my eyes the whole time." He sheepishly grinned.

Ginny's eyes sparkled in happiness. "Oh Harry!" she exclaimed. "I've always dreamed that this day would come! I have such a terrific idea for the wedding and---"

Harry looked a little uneasy. "I don't know. Are you sure that's a good idea?" he asked with uncertainty.

"Of course it's---"

"I mean, do you think he'd want to take things that fast? You've known him longer than I have..."

Ginny's eyes widened and she blinked disbelievingly at him. "He? Him?"

Just then, the portrait hole opened and a couple of students returning from breakfast stepped through.

Harry shoved Ginny aside and dove at the certain redhead. "I love you, Ron Weasley!"
