Immortally
|| Happenstance-Destiny ||
Of what memories in my heart, I keep
Such that calls out to me by sunset;
And comes to me in dreams of sleep?
That is, such, I could never, forget
Upon solemn night, an angel, I did meet,
On that moment she first came to greet;
In front of me, before my eyes, beside,
There appeared, a vision, by my side
Only that, there arose a deep feeling,
A strange sensation, truly appealing
Thoughts of mine did gather and implore;
I felt as though, I had known her before
With my eyes, frozen, I gave a glance;
One, that spellbound me, in a trance;
In lovely glow, she gazed toward me;
Oh, so suddenly, my heart, with glee
Sure to hide, I looked the other way,
For fear of notice, and of what to say
My mind was gone, and heart, so wild,
Of my soul, quivered, senses, yet mild
Then, why did I have no words say;
Why did there linger a peculiar fear?
For speechless, in shiver, I did pray;
Because of her being so closely near
Through her eyes dazzled, a shine;
While her face leaned slowly to mine,
So very mesmerizing, gentle, and fair;
Danced, a sweet scent across the air
Then, without a word, a song, instead,
Nothing further, to contemplate ahead
On her tender lips, a smile, did radiate,
This must be, of destiny, of curious fate
Toward me, she did delicately lean,
With our faces, a soft sense, so keen;
As my still soul somehow did revive,
Awaking me, in brilliance, to be alive
So searched, in mine, within my only heart,
Blossomed a warmth, she did, then, depart
How strangely familiar, I wondered, though,
As if I knew her, somewhere, some time ago
So long as there is life, eternally, in my heart,
Holding all that is true, she will, ever to remain
Even though, yet, so near, however, apart;
So destined to be; I felt that we will meet again
Of what, a song, that will forever last,
Returning me to memories of the past;
Faded the path of ever so downcast,
Till then, when we are together, at last.
