Snow gently kissing his pale face,
As he walks 'long the corner.
His stride showing delicate grace,
As his eyes show lurid onyx color.
The walk is long but he doesn't stop,
His continual determination moving him on,
Pale slim hands clasped in black pockets,
Out in the glacial air his head withdrawn.
Hooked nose as red as his rosy mouth,
As the zephyr freezes them without mercy,
He heads on toward the freezing south.
His black hair hanging dankly.
Alas, a house is in his sight,
The house of his only friend,
His eyes are stung by the gleaming light,
To the shelter he will ascend.
A knock at the mahogany door brings hurried footsteps,
An angelic face appears,
He sneers at her as he ascends the doorsteps,
The warmth of the room thawing his ears.
The door closes as he gazes around
His sneer disappears on his crimson glowing face,
Here he can be kind and gentle
With his chivalrous, thoughtful grace.
As he walks 'long the corner.
His stride showing delicate grace,
As his eyes show lurid onyx color.
The walk is long but he doesn't stop,
His continual determination moving him on,
Pale slim hands clasped in black pockets,
Out in the glacial air his head withdrawn.
Hooked nose as red as his rosy mouth,
