Kephallonia Island
431 BCE

It was a rather nice summer day on the island of Kephallonia, it's inhabitants were on doing their businesses as they went through their daily tasks. The seas surrounding the shores of the island were in a vibrant blue colour as most of the people staed that Poseidon was in a good mood today.

Just away from the island in the distance a ship coming from the west was seen. On it were not a lot of people but a single figure, his face was covered with dust and his hair was dirty. He had been sailing for months now and he never had the chance to take a bath, he was bare footed on one foot as the sandal had broke when he ended up in a storm.

'Oh finally! I'm back!" the man thought as he saw the island, the winds of the sea lifted his hair as it allowed his blue eyes to glitter at the sight. His ship continued to approach the island at a slow pace which allowed him to see the surroundings. The sea was filled with a rather large amount of timber and ropes to say the least and he was sure for a fact he could hear war cries coming from a distance. Just what the hell was going on? Was there a battle happening?

The man didn't seem to care as he just made his boat go to the east side of the island. Taking out his spyglass the man looked through it, analyzing the view the blond's eye caught an old sight. It was a woman that seemed to be sitting on top of what seemed to be a simple shelter made from stone that was close to the coast sitting on a promotory. She seemed to be sitting down as she held something in her hand.

The woman had a broad face, her hazel eyes just seemed lost in a trance as a thick braid of her hair sat neatly on her left shoulder. She wore a dark brown exomis which seemed to have been overworn as it looked as if it would fall off her the first chance it had.

"Kass...by Kami you've grown." the man thought as he watched the woman seem to stand up as she got off the ground and jump down from the roof. 'I should work on my speech.' the blond thought since he was going to port not soon enough.

With Kassandra

She really didn't feel like fighting today but the fact that the Cyclops men never learn from their mistakes seemed to piss her off even more. "Tell your boss he can stick it-" she was cut off as one of the man struck her with a fist to the nose.

"That's for last week!" the man announced much to her dismay. "Malaka!" she just spat to the ground. "The Cyclops said you like to act tough! So act tough!" the other shouted as he drew his sword being followed by his companion that drew his shield an sword.

Kassandra just drew her rusty sword that had a little crack by the tip, along with her broken sword as she held them in a dual-wielded way.

The first one tried to cut her head but she just dodged the attack only to kick the man back as she taunted them. "Come on you can do better than that, why don't you get closer and try again?" she asked. "You should know by now. The Cyclops always collects his debts. You have a lesson to learn," the one with the shield stated as he blocked a strike from Kassandra due to the impact her sword brok much to her dismay.

"Shit!" she muttered as the two men laughed. "Look at that Markos can't even buy you proper weapons." they both laughed. As they went on the offense, with just her spear Kassandra parried the thief with the sword's attack as she quickly jumped into the air with a roll she slashed the man's neck as blood sprayed out of it, landing onto his companion's face and the shield.

Taking out a kunai from her pouch, Kassandra just threw it onto the man's exposed foot as he whelped in pain just to let go of his shield and sword. "That is for punching me in the nose!" she shouted as she took his fallen companion's sword only to stab his midsection and leave it to take the man to the ground.

With a few huffs Kassandra just huffed and sighed, massaging her wrist she just spoke. "Last week? This shit happens every week." she walked aimlessly as she stopped to look at the sea. "I can't keep doing this." she muttered as she turned around to sit on the ground. Resting her back on the wall of her well. Her eagle landed on a pole as it screeched at her.

"Hmm. Thanks for the warning." she said as the eagle screeched again. "I said thanks." she sarcastically stated as she stopped the bleeding in her nose. Just then a young girl came and looked at the dead bodies.

"What happened to you?" the girl wore an off-white stola.

"It's nothing Phoibe. All taken care of now." she replied. "The Cyclops again, huh? Hasn't he learned his lesson yet?" she went to sit on a broken column that had a plate of food on it. "Apparently not." Kassandra replied only to see Phoibe eat a small fruit.

"Of course help yourself." she sarcastically stated as just then the eagle landed beside Phoibe only to have it's gaze in front of the plate. "You hungry too, Ikaros?" the eagle screeched as the girl gave him a fruit.

"Do you think Zeus would bless me with an eagle? Like he blessed you, Kassandra?...Maybe you could ask him for me."

Kassandra just rolled her eyes as she stood up. "I'll try to put in a good work for you."

"Finally!" Phoibe said excited as she cupped her hands. "So. What are you doing here?" she asked as she leaned on the railing of the well. "Oh I almost forgot! Markos is looking for you." hearing this Kassandra sighed. "What does that weasel want now?"

"Don't know. He wants you to meet him at his new house. In his vineyard." when Kassandra heard this she stopped leaning on the railing as she walked to Phoibe. "What? A vineyard!? Malaka!"

"It's on the road to Sami. He says wine will make him rich!" Phoibe explained. "Since when has he had a vineyard?"

Phoibe thought for a second. "Yesterday I think?"

"So Markos, a man who owes me drachmae is buying vineyards? With what money?" she looked at Phoibe who shrugged. "I don't know." hearing this Kassandra thought for a second. "Where can I find Markos's new, beautiful estate?"

"You know the statue of Zeus on Mount Ainos? It's south of that."

"Well, I guess I owe Markos a little visit. Thank you, Phoibe." she turned towards the sun as Phoibe got off the column only to stand beside Kassandra with her hand open. "Mhm." she made the noise as Kassandra turned to her. Rolling her eyes she checked her pockets to fine a single coin. 'This is my last one.' she thought as she flicked it into the child's hand.

"I'll go tell Markos you're coming!" with that she jumped over the bodies as she ran off skreeching like an eagle as she had her eagle toy out. "I'll see Markos as soon as I'm dressed and I've cleaned this." she stated as just then she heard a voice coming from behind her house. "Hello!" she heard the voice. "What in the hell?" Kassandra muttered as just then walking into the frontyard was a blond that Kassandra hasn't seen in awhile.

"Hey, Kass. How've you been? You missed me." the man said as he opened his arms. Kassandra just stared at him as he approached her. "I haven't seen you in ten years, how much I've missed you." Naruto stated as Kassandra just muttered. "N-Naruto..." his name rolled off her tongue as a feeling she hadn't felt in awhile reintroduced itself. Her heart began pounding so fast that Kassandra put her arm on her chest. 'Even after this time...I still have this feeling.' Kassandra thought as Naruto smiled.

"So? How's it going?" Naruto asked only for Kassandra to have no words. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"What do you mean? I told you I'll come back for you." Naruto reminded the girl. "Oh Kass you won't believe the things I've seen." Naruto told her. "W-wait so were did you and that man go?"

What Kassandra was talking about was that ten years ago on Kephallonia a foreign man from another land, ended up on this island and he was discovered by Naruto. At the time the man said he needed to get back home and Naruto said he would help, he sadly had to leave Kassandra since she needed to work off the 'debt' Markos said they both had.

"Well you won't believe the story I have for you...but before that." Naruto walked up to her as he brought her into a hug. "I've missed you so much." Naruto stated as Kassandra was shocked by the action, she felt like pushing him away but the feeling of her being in his arms after such a long time was too much for her to destroy just because of a hug. Wishing they would stay like that for a minute, sadly Naruto stopped as he spoke. "There's something I need to show you, come on."

The two went to the back of the house to see the boat Naruto came in, the blond climbed onto the boat as Kassandra spoke. "Your boat is very busted." Kassandra stated as Naruto just sighed. "Had to deal with a lot of pirates along the way. Not only that I had to sail threw two storms." he explained. "You must be quite a sailor if you had to make this boat have to deal with all that all alone." she explained.

"Eh, I learned on the job." Naruto walked on the deck as after a couple minutes he carried a large chest. "What's in that?" Kassandra asked as Naruto smiled. "Some souvernirs I collected for you." Naruto explained as he jumped off the edge of the ship as he pulled the chest of it. Putting it on the ground Naruto sighed. "Open it Kass."

Kassandra opened the chest and what she saw were some very interesting things. "What are these weapons? I've never seen them before." she stated as she picked up what seemed to be a sword but only for it to be arched. "What this sword?" she asked as Naruto smirked. "That's the sword I found in my time in Egypt."

"Egypt? Is that a place you've visited?"

"Yeah, a very hot place should I add. But's it's very peaceful, the blacksmith I bought this from lived in a place called Siwa. He calls it 'The Fang' and if I remember he said it was among the sharpest khopeshes in this century."

"So it's a khopesh?" Naruto nodded. "It's forged in such a way that it was made to shred anything it touches." Naruto finished explaining as Kassandra swinged the sword a bit. "Oh be careful with that, the hilt has an abundant amount of poison on it." Naruto explained as Kassandra put it back into it's sheet. "I kinda like this sword, it came on the right time too, my current one is...well." she showed Naruto the hilt of the broken sword as Naruto chuckled.

"Yeah, I sure have great timing." he replied as Kassandra put the sword down as she took out another weapon from the chest, it felt rather cold in her hands. "A bow?" she turned to Naruto. "That one's mine, but I can tell you this. It's called the Bow of Wadjet."

"Wadjet?"

"She's the patron goddess that many now in Lower Egypt. It's shaft is made with cobra skin." Naruto finished. "It's...beautiful are you sure I can't keep it?" she wooed as Naruto smiled. "Sorry but...that's mine. I had to literally stop a curse just to get this one."

"A curse?"

"A story for another time. But I'll tell you this, you can borrow it for awhile." Kassandra just smiled. "Why thanks." she replied. As she looked back into the chest to find that there was nothing else.

"So that was it?" Naruto nodded. "Sorry but I lost everything during the storm, these are the only one's I could save." Naruto explained a little disappointed of the fact he could save all the goods he wanted to give Kassandra. "No it's fine, this sword is really better than nothing." Naruto just smiled at that.

"So what have you been doing these days?"

"Eh, I've been working with Markos as a mercenary."

"Markos? Your still working with that weasel? He's still saying you owe him even after ten years?"

"No, I no longer work for him, we now work together, anyway I need to go see him as he has my money and guess what he bought a vineyard with it."

"Markos bought a vineyard? Man I've been gone for a long time, it's hard to see him as an owner." Naruto explained as Kassandra nodded. "Tell me about it. I'm going to change real quick so I'll meet you at the front." Naruto nodded as they split up. Naruto returned to the column from earlier as he took the food on the plate. Kassandra went up to the roof as she opened her chest. While changing into her clothes Naruto met up with an old friend.

"Ikaros. How are you?" Naruto greeted the eagle that just landed on his shoulder. "Oh how much I've missed you buddy." Naruto stated as the eagle screeched. Eventually after awhile Kassandra came back. Wearing a leather belt and a tunic.

"Alright, let's go meet up with the snake." Kassandra said as Naruto just put the plate down. "Yeah, let's go meet the old bastard."
