On The eastern Mountain road.

Snow gently falls upon the Mountain Road leading to Barad Eithel as a group of men along with a horse and cart slowly make their way up the path.

Four men in rusted armor on horse back rode along side the cart as a man in ornate robes led the cart with a young boy sitting next to him.

"Why are we even going to the Fortress Father? I heard a giant monster lives there that eats children..."

The young boy spoke as he bundled up in his oversized brown coat.

The boy looked well taken care of with a fair face, brown hair and green eyes.

"Well Hector, we were invited to a feast celebrating the completion of the new fortress and more importantly we must pay our respects to the new lord for making the mountain safe. It's been months without bandits or monsters..."

The man replied as he firmly held the horse reigns.

The man was of medium build with light skin and green eyes. His hair and beard were short and brown.

One of the guards then Adressed the the man leading the carriage.

"Alderman Marc is right. My men and I sure have much less to do since their arrival."

The solder then looked down the road before continuing.

"But not a fan of this snow. Should have melted weeks ago."

The Alderman nodded as he replied.

"Yes, it's far colder then usual for this time of year and I am sure the girls have had enough of it."

Just then two young girls popped their heads out from the side window of the the carriage with big smiles on their faces.

Both girls had brown hair, green eyes and fare features.

The bigger of the two Had freckles on her nose and cheeks and wore her hair in a ponytail with bang that slightly covered her eyes.

The smaller had shoulder leanth hair with bangs that framed her face nicely.

"Oh no father, I love the snow. I wish it would look like this forever."

The smaller of the two girls said as she raised her hands over her head for effect.

The bigger girl then spoke up.

"But then we wouldn't have the Harvest festivals, Ada..."

The smaller girl then looked to think for a moment before replying.

"Hmmm. But why not, Lizzie?"

Marc then spoke up.

"Isabell! Get your sisters please."

A slightly more mature feminine voice then came from inside the carriage.

"Yes father.."

The two girls were then pulled back into the carriage.

Marc smiled at his childrens antics before noticing Hector being quiet.

"What's wrong son?"

Marc asked.

Young Hector then grabbed some snow off a low hanging branch as they moved and balled it up.

"We've never had to pay respects before.."

Marc then replied.

"Well that because we didn't have a lord."

Hector then looked to think on his fathers word before speaking again.

"I heard the new Lord is an elf."

"That's true."

The Alderman quickly replied.

The boy then threw his snow ball into a tree before speaking.

"My friends told me Elves are mean and nasty... and they smell..."

The man chuckled before replying.

"Oh? And these friends have met many elves have they?.."

Hector then sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well...l... John said..."

The father then looked at his son and spoke.

"Listen Hector, You will be eight next month and a man soon enough and maybe even an aldermen like me. And a man does not let others decide how he thinks. You must see for yourself first. You understand?"

The boy then looked at his father and answered.

"Yes father."

Marc then replied with a kind smile.

"Good."

A cold breeze then caused Hector to shiver and bundle up tight.

His father noticed and spoke.

"Is it to cold? You can go into the cart with your mother and sisters."

The boy then shook his head defiantly.

"No sir! I want to stay out here with the men!"

This earned a laugh from his father.

"Hahaha. Alright then little man."

Just then one one of the men riding along side them spoke out.

"Alderman Marc, There is someone on the road."

The Alderman then replied as he looked down the road.

"Does it look like bandits?"

The solder then replied.

"I don't think so. To well dressed. But just to be safe."

The men then all took out their sword and continued toward the stranger.

A voice then came from the carriage.

"Is every thing alright out there dear?

Marc then replied.

"Yes love. Nothing to worry about."

As they got closer they saw a young woman standing in the middle of the snow covered road.

She was fair skined with black hair and red eyes.

She was wearing a red fur lined coat with black boots and and gloves.

The men stopped a few feet away from her and the Alderman was the first to address her as Hector leaned forward from his seat to get a better look.

"Are you alright young lady? Are you out here all by yourself?"

The woman's gaze seemed to fall on each man before settling on Marc before she spoke her voice monotone.

" Hello..."

Marc leaned forward slightly confused by the woman's response.

"Yes, hello... but I was asking if..."

The woman then spoke up cutting him off.

"Are you going to the fortress aswell?"

Marc was taken aback the woman's brashness but answered all the same.

"Yes we are on our there way now. Look, are you ok or not?

The woman then smiled as if being forced to and ignored the question.

"Oh how wonderful would you be so kind as to let me come with you?"

Then one of the guards spoke up.

"Unfortunately we were told it was invitation only. Now if you are not hurt. Get out of the road, girl."

Marc then spoke.

"Now, now William, she looks the same age as my Isabel, what kind of men would we be if we left a girl out here like this."

William then replied.

"I don't like this. Something is off here, Alderman.

Hector then noticed something.

"Father, look she's crying.."

Marc then looked at the girl as he spoke.

"Now look what you did William. I apologize for my Guard captain..."

Marc then stopped as he looked at the girl who had a straight face but a steady stream of tears coming down her face.

"rrrru..."

The girl began to make a forced sound as the shadow at her feet began to coil up her legs.

Then shadows began to move from the tree line approaching the carriage slowly.

Hector then spoke as he tuged at his father's coat.

"What's happening father?"

William noticed one of the shadows then yelled out.

"Ambush!! Draw your weapon."

The girl in red then screamed out.

"RRRRRUUUUUNNNN!!!!!"

The shadows then moved blindingly fast and converged on the carriage followed by screams.

At the Elven fortress in the Eastern Mountains: Barad Eithel

A light snowfall descended upon the newly repaired great fortress as it bustled with activity as merchants and travelers in heavy furs came to pay tribute to the new lord of the mountain.

The white fortress, standing like a crystal, sparkling just the same as any cut diamond, seemed to disappear and reappear with the dancing snow.

Large trees surrounded the structure like great armies defending their citadel. Their armored trunks reached out in the air protectively. This great expanse of green in defiance of the ever-present snow enhanced the castle's eerieness and beauty as a massive door made out of hard iron guarded the passage.

Sentinels in silver and blue Armor, the fur of white lions adorning their left shoulders, silently walked the walls keeping their eyes on the mountain path. The circle towers had a spiraling staircase making it awkward for invaders to fight upwards, But also uneven, so the defenders had an advantage.

Great mighty pride trebuchets stood with legs on towers ready to unleash their hinged fury. The white stone seemed eerie in the night as its beauty was enhanced when the radiant moon shined down upon it.

At the entrance to the main keep, Pirotess entertained a line of people as they stood, waiting to see Lord Evunial.

"Please wait a little longer. I am sure my lord will be here soon." The elven beauty said.

"No hurry, my lady. I am sure lord Evunial has much to do."

One man said, too enamored with the stunning elf to care about the wait.

Another man then spoke.

"Yes, what are a few more minutes."

Pirotess then mustered up a smile as she replied.

"Thank you. You are too kind."

But Pirotess had grown tired of the men's lecherous stares and wished to be done with them.

"( Dammit! Where the hell is Ariel. I asked her to fetch Evunial ages ago. I don't think I can endure this ogling much longer.)."

Just then, Izunia then came from around the corner, and Pirotess quickly addressed her.

"Ah, Izunia. Come here a moment."

Izunia then quickly complied.

"Yes, Lady Pirotess? What is it?"

Pirotess then took the young elf out of the human's earshot and spoke.

"You were training with Lord Evunial today, weren't you?"

Izunia then answered.

"Yes, all morning. I wouldn't be able to move if not for the recovery potions..."

Pirotess then inquired.

"Do you know where he is?"

Izunia then replied

"Well, After we finished, Lord Eltharion came by and asked him to inspect the fortress defenses with him."

Pirotess then thought out loud.

"Hmm. Well, that explains why my messages aren't getting through to him either. He doesn't wish to be disturbed."

She then looked at Izunia and spoke again.

"Could you do me a favor, dear?"

Izunia then replied.

"Of course, Lady Pirotess."

Pirotess then gave a genuine smile.

"Thank you, my dear. Can you go and fetch Lord Evunial? The Elders and leader of the neighboring towns have come to meet him before the feast. I had asked Ariel to retrieve him, but it seems she got lost on the way. Please hurry back as soon as you find him."

Izunia then nodded and replied.

"On it. Be back soon."

Pirotess smiled as she watched the young elf runoff.

She then reluctantly turned her attention back on the line of humans.

Izunia ran around the fortress looking for the Elven Lord but could not find hide or hair of him. As she searched, a burst of cold air erupted from a room in front of her.

As she went to investigate, she found two elves standing in a frosted over room. One a boxum blonde, and the other a tall, serious-looking male elf. Both were wearing blue and white elven magister robes.

"That spell is meant to be used outside, Araina..."

The tall elf said. Slightly annoyed.

Araina then apologized profusely.

"I am so sorry, Master Carnen... I just got a little over-excited."

Master Carnen chuckled slightly as he brushed frost from his clothes and light blue hair.

"No need to apologize. I am impressed with your progress. You simply need to learn a bit more... control."

The elder elf then noticed Izunia standing in the doorway.

"Ah. It seems we have company..."

Araina then quickly turned As Izunia addressed her with a smile.

"Wow, Araina... It looks like your magic is getting stronger."

Araina then replied sheepishly.

"Oh, this is nothing... Master Carnen is going to teach me a spell that can freeze a whole lake."

Carnen then chimed in.

"Only after you've mastered this spell...and control."

Araina then curbed her enthusiasm.

"Oh..yeah..Of...of course master Carnen..."

Izunia chuckled to herself as she thought.

"(Ariana has really come out of her shell. I am happy we were able to help her..)"

Araina then spoke, waking Izunia from her thoughts.

"How is your training going, Izunia?"

Izunia then replied.

"Oh...well...good, Lord Evunial wants me to train with Master Shadow blade next. He is strict, and cold...and altogether unpleasant. But he is a master of daggers and The commander says I can learn a lot from him but..."

Izunia then remembered why she came.

"Oh speaking of Lord Evunial, Have either of you seen him?"

Araina then answered.

"Oh, well when we went to get my new robes earlier today from the Barracks. I saw him and lord Eltharion speaking with a few trolls. He might still be there."

Izunia then replied.

"Thank you. I will check there next. Good luck with your training Araina and see you at banquet tonight!"

As Izunia left, Araina gasped.

"The banquet! I haven't even picked out a dress!"

Carnen then addressed his student.

"Go on then. We can continue tomorrow, and remember...control."

The Barracks.

As Izunia approached the Barracks, she heard a commotion. She then found a crowd of soldiers, both elven and human, watching as three giant trolls faced off against Evunial. The young elf blushed as she saw the state of the High Commander.

Evunial stood shirtless with a proud smile on his face, holding a wooden katana. His upper body was well-muscled, with intricate tattoos covering his chest and going down his arms. Even though his upper body was on full display, He seemed unaffected by the cold save for the steam radiating from his body and the mist of his breath.

The trolls, on the other hand, looked to be exhausted as each one took heavy breathes, the heat of their bodies steaming in the cold air. They each were fully armored with intimidating weapons.

One wielded a sword the size of a man, the second held a great club, and the third used two jagged blades.

The troll with the great sword then rushed the Elven lord thrusting his blade toward Evunial's chest.

Evunial then effortlessly dodged the attack. Stepping to the left of the thrust. He then raises his weapon with his right hand and hits the troll on the back of the head, instantly knocking the brute out. The other two trolls then rushed in.

The dual blade troll then swung his swords at Evunial's neck. In one smooth movement, the Elven commander parried both blades downward, Leading the troll's face into his knee, leaving him unconscious.

The third troll who had been waiting for a perfect opportunity then snuck up behind Evunial. His club raised, poised to come down on the elf's head. But before he could even move, Evunial turned with lightning speed.

His blade cutting upward, stopping just before hitting the troll's chin. A gust of air then followed the swing's arc and knocked the troll up into the air before landing on the cold ground.

Evunial then walked up to the dazed troll and helped him to his feet with ease. He spoke as he did.

"You are improving, but you are still attacking individually. You must work together as a team. If you can learn to do that, nothing will be able to stop you."

The three trolls now standing then slammed their fists onto their chests in salute.

"Aye, High Commander!"

They yelled in unison.

Evunial then turned to address the crowd of soldiers.

"And that goes for all of us! As long as we stand together, all will fall before us!"

The crowd then all saluted and yelled.

"Aye, High commander!"

Evunial smiled proudly before speaking.

"At ease, men, back to your duties."

As the crowd dispersed. Izunia began to call out to Evunial.

"Evunial! I..."

But she was cut off as Arial addressed the commander while holding his heavy white lion fur-lined overcoat.

"Pure excellence, my lord. Your ability to inspire is second to none."

Evunial smiled sheepishly at the comment as the elven mage helped him into his coat.

" Oh, I am sure Azanar could do better..."

Ariel then stepped in front of Evunial, placed a hand on his chest, and spoke.

"Your brother is the grandest of all kings. But remember, it is you that inspires his armies. Your honor, courage, and strength that they will follow into all battles, on all nine worlds."

Evunial was taken aback by the kind words and began to reply.

"Thank you, Ariel, I..."

He stopped mid-sentence as he felt Ariel now drawing circles on his chest with her finger. Ariel then spoke with a seductive tone and a mischievous smile.

"It is quite cold out here. Perhaps we could finish this conversation, in the warmth of my chambers."

Evunial smiled as he gentley grabbed Ariels hand and replyed.

"Now, now, Ariel we dont have time for that..."

The elven mage then pouted as she replied.

"You could make time..."

Just then Izunia then walked up and addressed the two powerful Elves.

"Lord Evunial, Lady Ariel."

Ariel then sighed in annoyance.

"Ah, the stray..."

Evunial then quickly spoke.

"Be nice, Ariel... Izunia is our kin and a citizen of Lokelonde."

Ariel then begrudgingly complied.

"Of course, My Lord."

Evunial then spoke to Izunia.

"What is it, Izunia?"

The dark elf then answered.

"Lady Pirotess sent me to fetch you. The village elders you invited to meet before the feast have been waiting for you. I don't know how much longer she can stand them ogling her."

Evunial then thought to himself as the two female elves exchanged dirty looks.

"(Damn completely forgot about that... She's going to be pissed..."

Izunia then continued.

"She also said she sent Ariel first, but I see she got distracted..."

Ariel glared at Izunia for a quick moment, then spoke.

"My apologies, my lord, I will accept any punishment you deem fit."

Evunial sighed before he spoke.

"No need for that. Let's just not keep her waiting any longer."

The trio then headed toward the main keep.

The Main keep.

Pirotess sighed with relief as she saw the high commander, followed by Izunia and Ariel.

"About time you got here. What took you so..."

She then sniffed the air before continuing.

"You were training the trolls again..."

Evunial then spoke.

"Yeah, sorry. Got a little carried away."

Pirotess then raised her hand.

"May I remind you my lord that this was your idea. "To build a repore with the people of the mountain and show them our grandeur." I think was you exact reasoning..."

Evunial then rubbed the back of his neck.

"Sorry Tess..."

Pirotess then shook her head as she spoke.

"No need, just..."

She stopped mid-sentence as she looked the commander up and down. Seeing his chest and tattoos clearly through his open coat.

She then glanced at Ariel knowingly. She then addressed Evunial again.

"Would you like to change first?"

Evunial then answered.

"Nah..better to get this over with."

Just then Naris came from the shadows before addressing Evunial.

"My Lord. A moment?"

Inside the Fortress throne room.

The throne room was barely recognizable from it's humble beginnings. The once crumbling stone columns and walls were replaced with carved marble, light from golden braziers lighting up the room as the light flickerd and danced on the arched ceiling while gold adorned marble sculptures and stone effigies look down upon the polished iron wood floor of the lavish hall.

A royal blue rug runs in a circle around the room, with two paths at the throne and the main entrance while gold embellished rectangular banners matching the rug with swing gently from the walls.

Between each banner stands several tapers of various sizes, they've all been lit and in turn illuminate the depictions of golden dragons and lions below them denizens.

The windows, now covered in curtains of royal blue adorned with golden needlework and tassels.

And at its head a great throne of Mithril and gold sits covered in furs. A large statue of a great winged Lion behind it.

Evunial leaned back in his fur adorned throne, listening to one village elder's introduction after another.

Some brought tribute, others brought woe and requests for help, and others still seemed to simply wish to meet the Elven Lord. Curious about the mysterious new rulers of the mountain.

Eltharion and Pirotess stood watch over the proceeding and Izunia waited patiently as the last of the guest finished their talks with Evunial.

A man in ornate robes stopped in front of the throne as two men in similar garb carrying a small gilded gold chest came to a stop behind him.

The man in front was of average build and height with light brown hair and green eyes.

Evunial looked the men over before his eyes fell onto the chest.

"Greetings, Lord Evunial. Thank you for welcoming me in to your home and may I say what an honor it is to stand before the new master of the mountain."

Marc said as he bowed.

Evunial leaned forward in his seat as he spoke.

"I thank you for your kind words Alderman."

Evunial then looked around for a moment before speaking.

"Your return letter asked that I extend your invitation to you your wife and children as well but I do not see them. Are they not with you?"

Marc then replied.

"Alas the recent weather does not agree with them so they could not join me. They sends their regrets and wish you well."

As Marc spoke he turned and took the chest from his men and then held it out in front of him.

"However, My wife, Resol did pick this gift out just for you if you would do me the honor of accepting it."

Evunial's mood seemed to darken as he took a deep breath while leaning back into his throne.

Evunial's eyes then fell back onto Marc before speaking as his right hand gripped the armrest of his throne tightly.

"You say her name with such ease."

Marc then looked confused as he inquired.

"Her... name?"

Evunial then spoke.

"Yes. you say it as if you didn't murder her and hide her body in the snow."

The other guests all gasped at the accusations as they whispered among themselves.

Marc then stammered a bit.

"We...well...I"

Evunial then leaned forward.

"No point in denying it. My men found the bodies. Your wife, your daughters, your son..."

Marc stood dumbfounded as Evunial continued.

"You murdered innocents on my Mountain. That will not go unpunished..."

Marc then looked around at the crowd before looking up at Evunial with a barely hidden smirk.

"So is this why you invited us? To hurl unfounded accusations?... My family? Dead by my hand!?Absurd! I will not entertain such an insult! We are leaving."

The three men then turned to leave only to find elven soldiers barring their path.

"If you wish to try and escape you may but you will be leaving Alderman Marc here, Parasite..."

Evunial said as his golden eye glowed revealing to him the true state of Alderman Marc. Shadow trendels coiled around his body from the ground reaching up to the base of his skull.

Marc then stammered a bit.

"How...how do you.."

Eltharion then chimed in.

"The Commander sees the truth of all things. Your lies are useless here. Assassin..."

Marc then began to chuckle before bursting out laughing. His voice distorting before completely changing to a deeper gravely voice.

"Hahaha, so we've been found out have we? My, my.. This is a first. Never expected to be made this soon. You truly are impressive lord Evunial..."

The imposter then gave an exaggerated bow as he spoke.

"Allow me to make a true introduction then.

My name is Arim of the void. My client..."

Evunial then spoke up.

"Is Varland. He sent you to spy. To learn what you could about us and kill me if the opportunity arose during the night. But Suspect your main objective is someone else..."

Arim then replied.

"Ah, well it seems Arner was right. You are terrifying...however you've showed your hand to soon. And at this distance you can't escape.

Arim then yelled out as a magic circle appeared around him and his men.

(Shadow Form!)"

Just then Arim's men fell into their own shadows. The shadows then moved across the ground toward Evunial at great speed before suddenly stopping in place unable to move.

"What!? What is this?"

Arim said as his men struggled in vain before noticing the Pirotess beside him with her blade at his throat.

Evunial then spoke unmoved.

"Interesting, you have shadow magic. Unfortunately for you, I have a master of such magics under my command.

Arim then replied.

"Impossible! That art of shadows has been passed down from generation to generation since the shadow of greed himself. We are the only masters of shadow!

Another voice then rang out.

"You claim to know the shadows?"

Arim looked around for the source of the voice until the muffled screams of his men took his attention. Blood seeping out of each assassin's shadow as their screams were silenced.

Arim looked around as he panicked.

"This isn't possible! We are safe in the shadows..."

Arim then looked up at Evunial who's cold and knowing stare seemed to rip through him.

"No!"

Arim said defiantly.

"You will not claim me! Here, have your Alderman."

Marc then fell into Pirotess's arms as a shadow seeped from his body and disappeared.

Evunial then spoke.

"Naris..."

A voice then replied from the shadows.

"As you wish my lord."

Elsewhere,

A man moved through a realm of pulsing darkness at great speed.

"How is this possible! The shadows are our domain!"

The man looked older with graying black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing black robes with armored greves and gauntlets.

"Varland has no idea what he is up against. It will take far more then assassins. He needs a dammed army.

A distorted voice then came from directly behind Arim as if whispering in his ear.

"Oh child... How little you know..."

Arim slowly turned, his skin going white as porcelain and his eyes widening in shock as they fell upon a creature of shadow and teeth before screaming in horror.

Back at the fortress throne room.

Pirotess handed Marc over to Evunial.

Evunial spoke as he helped Marc up.

Thank you Tess, could you escort every one out of here."

Pirotess then quickly nodded.

"Of course, my lord."

She then escorted the guests out of the room, assuring them the danger had passed.

Now only Eltharion, Evunial and the Alderman stood in the throne room.

The Alderman struggled to keep his balance as a wave of realization hit him. Tears welling up in his eyes.

"My wife, my children... they...they..."

Marc then sunk down to his knees, tears running down his face as Evunial knelt down with him.

"They killed them... murdered them... oh... gods! my babies!..."

Evunial then spoke softly and kindly.

"Alderman, Your wife, and children are safe and whole. You have nothing to mourn."

Marc then looked up at The elven lord confused.

"But I saw. I saw them..."

Just then the side door to the throne room opened and Ariel walked through followed by Four young women and a boy who rushed to The Alderman's side.

Evunial stood and stepped away as Marc hugged his children and then gently cupped his wife's face.

"How is this possible, Resol, my love? I saw you..."

Resol then answered.

"Lady Ariel saved us. I felt her warm hand against my cheek in the cold and then we were here."

Marc then looked at Ariel and struggled to speak through his tears

"Thank you. My lady... there are no words."

Ariel nodded with a kind smile in response.

Marc then looked at Evunial.

"There are no words..."

Evunial then replied.

"No thanks needed. These men were after me. And your family got caught in the middle... and for that I am sorry."

Marc then spoke.

"My Lord you have nothing to..."

Evunial then cut him off as he sensed something.

"After such an ordeal you must all be exhausted.

Rooms have been made up for you and your family. Your men as well."

Marc then looked at Evunial.

"My men are safe as well?"

Evunial then replied.

"Yes.."

Marc then inquired.

Marc sighed in relief as he looked at his children.

Little Hector then spoke up.

"What about the girl on the road?"

Evunial then knelt down and answered the boy.

"She's already on he way home to her family..."

Evunial then stood and look at Marc.

"You may attend the feast if you are up to it but you are welcome to stay as long as you need..."

Marc then took Evunial's hand and shook it.

"Thank you my lord."

Evunial nodded before looking at Ariel.

"Please escort them to their rooms."

Ariel then replied with a bow.

"Yes, my love.."

The group then left leaving Eltharion and Evunial alone in the room.

"You must not blame your self My Lord prince..."

Eltharion said sensing Evunial anger.

Evunial then replied without looking at Eltharion.

"Then who?... Varland sent them here looking for me because I freed Araina... It was wishful thinking he would just let her go..."

Just then a shadow appeared on the ground before them and Naris stepped out as if walking up stairs, dragging Arim behind him by his robes.

Naris then threw the man at Evunials feet.

Arim just laid there, his skin now pale with a blank look on his face.

Naris then spoke.

"Huh... I might have been a little overzealous with him.. allow me.

Naris then helped the man to his knees and held his head in place looking at Evunial.

Evunial then knelt down to eye level with the assassin.

Arim then spoke in barely a whisper, his voice spent.

"No, no more, Just... just kill me, please."

Evunial then replied.

"Kill you? No... I have use for you..."

Arim then spoke.

"What... What do you...want from me?..."

Evunial then spoke.

"You will be delivering a message to your client for me..."

Evunial then leaned in as he continued.

"I want you to tell him to free every elf in his service. For I am coming to his home and if I find there is even one Elf who still calls him master. I will burn his home to the ground..."

Evunial then stood and addressed Naris.

"I take it he already told you where Varland's home is."

Naris simply nodded in reply.

Evunial the continued.

"Leave him at his door step... Take an arm and leg for good measure."

Naris then replied.

"As you wish my Lord..."

Naris then grabbed Arim by the leg and dragged him into the shadows again step by step as Arim yelled out in terror, scratching at the ground.

"No! please! Not the darkness! Not again!"

The shadow then disappeared Leaving Evunial and Eltharion alone yet again.

The duo then made their way to windows and looked out onto the courtyard.

Evunial then inquired.

"Did Araina notice the men stalking her?"

Eltharion then answered.

"No, Master Carnen disposed of them far before they even got close."

Evunial then replied.

"Good. she's been through enough."

Eltharion then spoke.

"Do you not wish to tell her of today's events? Surely she will ask questions with guest still reeling from the event."

Evunial then replied

"And we will tell her the truth. That an attempt was made on my life. She need know any more then that... she would only blame herself..."

Eltharion replied.

"You mean like you are doing..."

Evunial chuckled at the irony as he watched the sun set behind the mountains before continuing.

"Tonight, we celebrate our new home and friends... Tomorrow... we deal with Varland...

Eltharion then bowed as he spoke.

"Your will be done my lord."

Just then Araina, Izunia and Ariel came into the room wearing Elegant dresses.

Evunial looked at the beautiful trio speechless.

Araina's dress was a pristine white. It left her shoulders uncovered, supported from around her neck and flowed down into a beautiful halter neckline.

It's relaxed fit and narrow bow wrapped waist made it look comfortable, yet elegant and stylish. Her arms were covered to only just below her shoulders. showing off her silky skin.

Izunia in contrast wore a black dress with red flower accents that covered only a small portion of her shoulders and flowed down into a fancy semi-sweetheart neckline. It's snug fit added to the grace and elegance of the dress.

Finally Ariel's dress of was green and gold, covering just one of her shoulders, leaving the other uncovered flowing down into a delicate plunging neckline. Its waist is a tight fit leaving little to the imagination, Her arms were fully visible showing off her elven tattoos which covered them.

Izunia then spoke up as she grabbed Evunial by his coat sleeve.

"The feast is about to begin. We can't start without the guest of Honor."

Araina then spoke.

"Izunia is right. Let's go..."

Araina then noticed Evunial's clothes.

"Wait, you're not going like that are you?"

Evunial then looked down at his clothes as he opened up his coat and spun around.

"What? You don't like it?"

The elven lord asked.

Ariel then spoke as she admired Evunial's physique.

"I don't mind it..."

Izunia then spoke as she rolled her eyes.

"Of course you don't..."

Ariel then quickly shot a dirty look at Izunia as Evunial rubbed the back of his neck and Eltharion rubbed the bridge of his nose.

Evunial then spoke.

"Well how about this."

Evunial then snapped his fingers as a gold light covered his clothes before disappearing revealing a white three peice suit with blue and gold accents.

The three girls looked on impressed before Izunia spoke up slightly blushing.

"Now that's more like it."

The trio then all ran up and began tugging Evunial out of the room as Eltharion followed after talking to himself.

"Should be a fun night..."
