"Actually, my friends are here. Gotta go catch up. 'Kay, see ya, bye!"

With these words, Yang Xiao Long – Ruby Rose's beloved, caring, utterly traitorous older sister – abandoned her in her time of need.

"Wait!" Ruby cried, but it was too late – Yang has already left to hang out with her friends, none of whom Ruby knew or even recognized. She had a feeling they wouldn't be important in the long run, anyway. But for the moment, the girl with regular knees had a greater concern – being left alone in the Beacon courtyard, with no idea what to do or where to go.

"I don't know what I'm doing…" Ruby sighed… and promptly ran into someone's luggage, sending a few suitcases flying and nearly falling over herself.

"Dummkopf! What are you doing?!" she heard a girl's voice say with a heavy Atlesian accent.

"Uh, sorry…" Ruby mumbled and turned to look at the luggage's apparent owner. And then the words of apology got stuck in her throat.

Ruby saw something beautiful. No, it was the most beautiful, the most perfect thing the young Huntress has ever seen, and she could only stare, dumbstruck, at the image.

She was small, slim, and very graceful. Her colour was white – white, head to toe, white like the snow of Atlas she no doubt came from – and the cold blue orbs, along with some red, only served to accentuate her delicate beauty. Ruby felt the desire – no, the need – to hold her in her arms, and…

"-even listening to me?"

"Huh?" Ruby asked, realizing that she spaced out.

"Mein Gott! Did you not hear a word of what I-"

"What's her name?" the young Huntress blurted out.

"What?" the other girl asked, clearly confused.

"Your weapon…" Ruby explained, never taking her eyes off the Dust rapier the Atlesian wore at her side. "What's her name?"

"It's Myrtenaster," the white-haired girl replied, still sounding a bit perplexed.

"Myrtenaster…" the reaper repeated, and proceeded to happily ignore the rest of the Atlesian-accented rant.

Ruby realized that she was a horrible person.

How could she?!

How could she forget her Crescent Rose?

After lovingly and painstakingly building her, after giving her a name, after all they've been through – how could Ruby forget about her just after seeing some pretty Atlesian rapier?

So what if Myrtenaster could hold six types of Dust at once? So what if it was crafted by the best swordsmiths SDC money could buy? Crescent Rose was Ruby's first love, her most loyal and trusty partner, and the Huntress wouldn't abandon her for the world.

"I'm sorry, Crescent Rose… I'm so, so sorry…" Ruby cried, hugging her weapon in front of her locker – and, coincidentally, in full view of a lot of Beacon hopefuls.

At the other end of the locker room, a certain Faunus girl found herself asking Ruby's sister, who stood there with an uncharacteristically embarrassed expression:

"Is your sister always like this?"

"She never got this bad… at least, I don't think so." Yang replied, seemingly unsure if she should approach Ruby or just wait until she got whatever it was out of her system.

"Yare yare daze…" Blake sighed quietly.

It was going to be a very interesting year.

This one is a combination of several different prompts, including Weiss having a German accent and Ruby 'crushing' on Myrtenaster.
